According to data shared by B&amp;K research, the average ticket prices in PVR and INOX are likely to increase in 2020 and 2021. “There will be meaningful increase in the ticket prices from 2020 to 8% in both INOX and PVR,” says the report. In fact, prices declined slightly during the financial year. However, according to the report, the net average ticket pricing is likely to be higher in FY21 and FY22. Strong Net Box office Collection While the ticket pricing trend has been flat the net box office collections saw positive growth in both Bollywood and Hollywood films. Uncertainly over online train tickets seem to have hit a dead end. <keyword id="65866" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="IRCTC">IRCTC</keyword> has just announced that you can opt for Pay on Delivery for your <keyword id="56937" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tatkal">tatkal</keyword> train tickets just like your online shopping. IRCTC users will be able to pay for tickets via cash or a debit or credit card by opting to have tickets delivered at their doorstep. The service, which was available for general reservations up till now, will be a game changer for Tatkal bookings as it will allow users to book tickets with just two clicks. IRCTC has collaborated with <keyword id="255717" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Anduril-Technologies">Anduril Technologies</keyword> Pvt Ltd for the doorstep delivery process. Anduril Technologies provides pay-on-delivery service to 4000+ pincodes across India. In case of refusal or cancellation before delivery, the customer will be liable to pay the cancellation and delivery charges., failing which may attract deactivation of user’s account and strict action as per law. IRCTC processes 130,000 Tatkal transactions daily, and a majority of these tickets are booked within minutes of Tatkal quota being opened for booking. Until now, users had to pay first via the standard online payment gateways before the IRCTC portal confirmed their ticket; a process that introduced a delay of several precious seconds and often led to users not able to book a confirmed ticket. The ‘pay on delivery’ feature completely circumvents the use of a payment gateway and will help users make the bookings in just a few seconds; greatly increasing their chance of booking a confirmed ticket under the Tatkal quota. So what’s the procedure to get tatkal tickets at doorstep? The customers need to first register with irctc.payondelivery.co.in in order to avail the ‘pay on delivery’ option. MakeMyTrip will soon let you book tickets through voice and your mother tongue

<ul><li>Air travellers in India will be able to cancel or modify tickets without any charges within 24 hours of booking. </li><li>The new passenger chart released by India’s civil aviation ministry aims to make it easier for air passengers to claim compensation for delayed flights cancel flights or in case of denial in boarding. </li><li>In case the flight is delayed for six hours or more is the airlines will have to inform the passengers at least a day before or will have to compensate the passengers with full ticket cost. </li><li>Airlines will have to provide free accommodation to people’s flight is delayed for 6 hours or more during 8 PM to 3 AM. </li></ul>In a big relief for air travellers in india, passengers will be able to claim compensation for the flights cancelled within 24 hours of booking if it is scheduled after a week. Additionally, air travellers will also be paid for any cancellations, delays or boarding denials. The “passenger charter” released by <keyword id="13124" type="POSITION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Civil-Aviation-Minister">Civil Aviation Minister</keyword> Suresh Prabhu on Wednesday lays out the rights of air travellers in the country. The new charter amended the norms for charges incurred by travellers on cancellation and rescheduling of air travel, among others. But the new compensation structure will apply only if it is found that the flight delay or cancellation was caused by the airline concerned. According to the charter, if a flight is expected to be delayed by more than six hours, the airline would have to arrange for an alternate flight within that time or refund the ticket cost with full amount. In case of over six-hour delay, the airline would have to inform passengers 24 hours in advance of the original departure time, it said. "The airlines must inform about flight cancellation at least two weeks before the scheduled time of departure and arrange alternate flights or refund," said the charter, released at the Aviation Conclave 2019. if the passengers are not informed about the flight cancellation schedule, the airline will have to either pay them a compensation of ₹5,000-10,000 depending on the travel time or one way base fare along with airline fuel charges, according to media reports. In case of overbooking, the airline must provide an alternate flight scheduled to depart within one hour of the original flight's departure time. If the airline is unable to do so, it would have to pay compensation, the charter said. The airlines will also have to provide free accommodation if there’s a delay of 24 hours or more from the scheduled departure time communicated earlier or if the flight is scheduled between 8pm to 3am and is delayed for six hours, according to media reports. Airlines in India are <a href="https://www.livemint.com/companies/news/flight-ticket-cancellations-refunds-now-made-easy-1551262112025.html">earning</a> additional revenues from ticket cancellation.
