<ul><li>Authorities are discharging all the flood water into the Bay of Bengal as the third warning signal is due to be raised.</li><li>The second warning is now continuing at Dowaleswaram, the State Disaster Management Authority said.</li><li>Over 55 villages in West Godavari district and about 100 in <keyword id="402348" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="East-Godavari-district">East Godavari district</keyword> remain marooned or inundated due to the deluge. </li></ul> The Godavari river is swelling by the hour, inundating more villages along the course, as it inched towards a record flood level on Monday. As the water level crossed 60 feet at Bhadrachalam in neighbouring Telanagna, the Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage at Dowaleswaram near Rajamahendravaram received 18.27 lakh cusecs by noon on Monday. Authorities are discharging all the flood water into the Bay of Bengal as the third warning signal is due to be raised. The second warning is now continuing at Dowaleswaram, the State Disaster Management Authority said. Over 55 villages in West Godavari district and about 100 in East Godavari district remain marooned or inundated due to the deluge. In East Godavari, close to 6,000 people were evacuated to safety from the flood-hit villages and lodged in relief camps. In West Godavari, too, about 2,000 people were shifted to relief camps. The tributaries of Godavari like Goutami, Vasishta and Vynateya are also in spate. Power supply to the affected villages has been cut as a precautionary measure. Teams of SDRF and NDRF have been moved to the flood- hit villages with boats and other equipment to carry out rescue and relief operations, the SDMA said. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed the situation with the officials concerned and directed them to undertake relief measures on a war footing. Flash floods continue to wreck havoc in Andhra Pradesh

<ul class="summary-list"><li>New York and New Jersey faced record-breaking flood conditions on Wednesday night.</li><li>Videos on social media show several <keyword id="12012504" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="delivery-drivers" source="Orion">delivery drivers</keyword> dropping off orders despite hazardous conditions.</li><li>During Storm Ida, New York and New Jersey residents were warned to take shelter.</li></ul>Videos of delivery drivers braving flooded city streets surfaced on social media on Wednesday night.New York and New Jersey suffered a <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/hurricane-ida-remnants-northeast-2021-09-02/">record-breaking deluge</a> on Wednesday night as the remnants of Hurricane Ida, now a tropical storm, bombarded the Northeast. Storm Ida brought with it flash floods, heavy winds and rainfall, as well as a tornado warning, causing <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2021/09/01/weather/ida-flooding-tornado-forecast/index.html">New York to declare a state of emergency</a> and bringing many <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/09/02/flooding-nyc-after-hurricane-ida-subway-videos/5692921001/">transportation services in New York City</a> to a screeching halt. To date at least <a href="https://apnews.com/article/northeast-us-new-york-new-jersey-weather-60327279197e14b9d17632ea0818f51c">15 deaths have been linked to the storm.</a>While residents were warned to seek shelter and avoid the hazardous weather conditions, several delivery drivers appear to have received different directions. A video of a delivery man, believed by social-media users to be from <keyword id="11975315" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="grubhub" source="Orion">GrubHub</keyword>, riding through the streets of Brooklyn went viral on Twitter. The man waded through waist-high flooded streets on his bicycle with his order in tow.A GrubHub spokesperson told Insider they have not been able to confirm the driver is one of their gig workers."The safety of delivery workers is a top priority," the spokesperson said. "While we always appreciate the hard work drivers put in to get the job done, no delivery worker for any company or restaurant should ever take an action that would jeopardize their safety."The video sparked outraged comments on Twitter at both the delivery company as well as the individual who chose to order during the storm. But, the driver appears to have been one of several to brave the flooded streets during the storm. A video on TikTok appears to show an <keyword id="12012505" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="ubereats" source="Orion">UberEats</keyword> delivery person walking through water up to their knees with an order. The post said the delivery took place in New Jersey. The user who posted the video did not respond to a request for confirmation from Insider. The spokesperson said that DoorDash has a policy where orders can be paused due to weather conditions, and delivery options were turned off for parts of New York City on Wednesday night."We always encourage all members of our community to follow local guidance," a DoorDash spokesperson told Insider. "Merchants can easily adjust their operations within their merchant portal and Dashers are always free to decline any order."UPS told Insider their drivers and customers are actively alerted to weather situations that would force the company to temporarily halt deliveries. The customers can also divert their deliveries to another UPS pickup point."Our drivers are trained to not drive through rising water or flooded areas," a UPS spokesperson told Insider. Furthermore, the company has course corrected in Europe."Last quarter proved to be a mixed bag for the company. Biden is correct to spread some blame for a two-decade conflict led by four different presidents - but he has repeatedly said that it was his call to be the final commander in chief to oversee troops in Afghanistan. Not to mention, Biden and his top national security team also made confident predictions that have aged incredibly poorly. <ul><li>Here's what the administration was saying just weeks, even days ago: In July, Biden told reporters it was <a href="https://www.npr.org/2021/08/14/1027696241/biden-said-the-u-s-withdrawal-from-afghanistan-would-be-safe-then-chaos-ensued">"highly unlikely"</a> that the Taliban would overrun the country. Secretary of State Antony Blinken testified to lawmakers a month earlier that he wouldn't equate a US withdrawal "<a href="https://www.state.gov/secretary-antony-j-blinken-with-chuck-todd-of-meet-the-press-on-nbc/">with some kind of immediate deterioration in the situation."</a> Just last week, the State Department was promising that the US embassy in Kabul would remain open and <a href="https://www.state.gov/briefings/department-press-briefing-august-12-2021/">"our diplomatic mission will endure."</a></li><li>The White House has argued these predictions were so wrong because the Afghan security forces failed to put up a fight, and President Ashraf Ghani deserted his people. He conceded that the Taliban's advance "did unfold more quickly" than expected.<ul><li>As for the blame: The American people have often not been given the full truth about what became its longest war. The Washington Post documented this in detail <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2019/investigations/afghanistan-papers/afghanistan-war-confidential-documents/">with its bombshell Afghanistan Papers</a>. These lies extended to the very Afghan security force Biden blames for failing to put up a fight. The Post reports that <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/afghan-security-forces-capabilities/2021/08/15/052a45e2-fdc7-11eb-a664-4f6de3e17ff0_story.html">top military officials long harbored doubts about a force the US invested $85 billion in arming and training</a>.</li><li>As for the end of the war, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-afghanistan-would-be-totally-different-with-him-in-charge-2021-8/">the Trump administration brokered the initial </a>agreement with the Taliban that promised a complete US withdrawal, a deal paved with the release of 5,000 Taliban prisoners - <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/09/world/asia/afghanistan-taliban-prisoners-peace-talks.html">some so heinous that Ghani initially refused to let them go.</a></li><li>Even fellow Democrats are taking the White House to task for the chaos: "If they had planned for every contingency, they would have gotten our friends and allies out a long time ago," Rep. Seth Moulton <a href="https://twitter.com/sethmoulton/status/1427439434459406340?s=20">told CNN.</a> Meanwhile, Sen.
