I think Trump is genuinely Trump," Hernandez told Times reporter Joe Coscarelli. "I get compared to Trump every day. But I love Mexican people. I don't think we're the same."</p><p>When Coscarelli asked if Hernandez had ever voted, the 24-year-old rapper questioned if felons could vote before saying: "I would vote for Trump."</p><p>In the revealing interview, Hernandez also discussed his music, obsession with fame, <a href="https://www.insider.com/who-is-tekashi-6ix9ine-rapper-gang-2018-12#hernandez-was-finally-sentenced-for-the-child-sex-case-6">involvement in a child-sex case</a>, and allegations of domestic abuse <a href="https://www.insider.com/tekashi-6ix9ine-ex-girlfriend-sara-molina-assault-story-2019-2">from an ex-girlfriend</a>.</p><p>He also spoke about his decision to cooperate with authorities the case against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang, and concerns for his life if he ever returned to Bed-Stuy, his old neighborhood in Brooklyn. </p><p>"Right now, if I left this interview and took the train by myself to Bed-Stuy, I wouldn't come back. If you took a trip to an island full of cannibals, are you coming back? But you don't put yourself in stupid situations," he said. </p><p>Because he cooperated with authorities and pleaded guilty to several crimes, Hernandez was sentenced to just two years in prison, including 13 months time served. The post has since been deleted.</p><p>In a statement to Insider, a representative for No Kid Hungry <a href="https://www.insider.com/tekashi-6ixnine-donation-no-kid-hungry-turned-down-2020-5">confirmed the organization had turned down Hernandez's donation</a>.</p><p>"We are grateful for Mr. Hernandez's generous offer to donate to No Kid Hungry but we have informed his representatives that we have declined this donation," the statement said. "As a child-focused campaign, it is our policy to decline funding from donors whose activities do not align with our mission and values."</p><h2>The decision was likely rooted in Hernandez's previous conviction in a child-sex case</h2><p>In addition to <a href="https://www.insider.com/who-is-tekashi-6ix9ine-rapper-gang-2018-12">several crimes related to his involvement</a> with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang, Hernandez <a href="https://jezebel.com/details-in-child-sex-complaint-against-rapper-6ix9ine-c-1821245294">pled guilty to the use of a child in a sexual performance</a> back in 2015. The <keyword id="39494" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="Crime">crime</keyword>, which occurred when he was 18 years old, involved a video that he himself had posted on social media.</p><p>The video shows a 13-year-old girl engaging in oral sex with another man, who was charged separately.</p><p>Hernandez can be seen standing behind the child, "making a thrusting motion with his pelvis and smacking her on the buttocks," the original complaint reads, per <a href="https://jezebel.com/inside-6ix9ines-outrageous-sentencing-hearing-1830037826">Jezebel</a>. "The child is nude in the video."</p><p>At his sentencing hearing in 2018, details emerged about a second video that Hernandez uploaded online. Assistant District Attorney Sara Weiss told the court that Hernandez appears again with another 13-year-old, fondling her breasts and smacking her butt, while she was being penetrated by two other adult males at the same time.</p><p><a href="https://jezebel.com/inside-6ix9ines-outrageous-sentencing-hearing-1830037826">As Jezebel reports</a>, "Weiss quoted 6ix9ine as saying in the video, 'This is what we do, this is how we rock.'"</p><p>Hernandez <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/26/arts/tekashi-6ix9ine-sentencing-probation.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">was sentenced</a> to four years of probation and 1,000 hours of community service for the 2015 child-sex case. The judge also ruled against forcing Hernandez to register as a sex offender.</p><p>Most recently, <a href="https://www.insider.com/overhyped-songs-this-year-spotify-2018-12">the "FEFE" rapper</a> was released from prison into home confinement after his lawyer said he was at a higher risk for COVID-19 symptoms because of his asthma.</p><h2>Hernandez's fans are furious at No Kid Hungry for turning down a donation</h2><p>Some commenters online slammed the nonprofit for having an "ego" and "trying to get cool points."</p><p>Others said the organization has no right to decline money that could help hungry children.</p><p>This reaction aligns with Hernandez's own response, which he posted on Instagram, but deleted shortly after: "No Kid Hungry rather take food out the mouth of these innocent children I never seen something so cruel."</p><p>One response to the news, which has racked up over 10,000 likes, reads simply: "Are the kids hungry or not ???"</p><h2>Others believe the refusal to align with Hernandez was both warranted and morally correct</h2><p>Given the nature of Hernandez's crimes, many have applauded No Kid Hungry for turning down the rapper's donation.</p><p>Many people believe the decision was at least partially strategic. After all, accepting a donation from someone who's associated with child-sex crimes may lead to further loss of funding and donations from respectable sources in the future.</p><p>Some also noted that Hernandez's motivations may not have been entirely pure.</p><p>The donation may have been designed to drum up positive publicity and clean up his image. <ul class="summary-list"><li><a href="https://www.tmz.com/2021/02/26/tekashi69-lawsuit-stripper-champagne-bottle-gold-rush-cabaret-miami/">TMZ</a> reported that an aggravated battery <keyword id="6377259" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="Lawsuit">lawsuit</keyword> was filed against <keyword id="9000071" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="tekashi-6ix9ine">Tekashi 6ix9ine</keyword> on Friday.</li><li>The lawsuit alleged that Tekashi 6ix9ine hit a woman with a champagne bottle in <keyword id="15641" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Miami">Miami</keyword>, Florida. </li><li>He was sentenced to two years in prison for his involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsters. </li></ul><p>A new lawsuit alleges that rapper <a href="https://www.insider.com/who-is-tekashi-6ix9ine-rapper-gang-2018-12" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tekashi 6ix9ine</a> hit a woman with a champagne bottle at a Florida strip club. </p><p><a href="https://www.tmz.com/2021/02/26/tekashi69-lawsuit-stripper-champagne-bottle-gold-rush-cabaret-miami/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TMZ</a> reported that Alexis Salaberrios, a dancer, filed the aggravated battery lawsuit after the alleged incident at Gold Rush Cabaret in Miami on February 20. </p><p>Salaberrios accused Tekashi 6ix9ine of throwing a "deadly object with intent to commit serious bodily injury" in court documents viewed by TMZ. </p><p>Attorney David M. Tarlow said the incident sparked after someone in the cabaret called Tekashi 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, a rat. </p><p>Tekashi 6ix9ine reportedly threw a champagne bottle in retaliation, but missed his target and hit Salaberrios instead. </p><p>Tarlow told Insider that Salaberrios was transported to a local emergency room where she received treatment for a "significant head injury."</p><p>"The Gold Rush intentionally chose to put profits over safety by allowing Tekashi69 into its club knowing that violence was likely to occur.  When violence did occur, Tekashi69 was ushered out the back door and protected," the statement read. </p><p>Salaberrios has also filed a lawsuit against Gold Rush Cabaret for gross negligence and accused it of not having proper security.</p><p>Lance Lazzaro, Tekashi 6ix9ine's attorney, maintained his client's innocence in a statement to TMZ and said the "Fefe" rapper was not involved. </p><p>"There are video cameras in the establishment. It's an attempt to shake him down. If he is served properly, we will immediately move to have it dismissed," Lazzaro said. </p><p>Representatives for Salaberrios and Tekashi 6ix9ine did not immediately return Insider's requests for comment. </p><p>In 2019, some fans labeled Tekashi 6ix9ine a "rat," including <a href="https://www.nme.com/news/music/snoop-dogg-hits-out-at-tekashi-6ix9ine-stop-pushing-this-rat-2665888" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Snoop Dogg</a> and <a href="https://people.com/music/meek-mill-calls-tekashi-6ix9ine-rat-wants-him-apologize-tekashi-responds/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Meek Mill</a>, after <a href="https://www.insider.com/tekashi-69-pleads-guilty-enters-cooperation-agreement-in-prison-2019-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pleading guilty to nine criminal charges</a> related to his involvement with the gang, Nine Trey Gangsters. </p><p>Tekashi 6ix9ine essentially sold out his associates in pleading guilty, which prompted some fans to label him a "snitch" on social media. <a href="https://www.insider.com/tekashi-6ix9ine-sentenced-nine-trey-blood-gang-2019-12" target="_blank" rel="noopener">He was sentenced to two years in prison</a> but was <a href="https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/hip-hop/9349873/6ix9ine-early-prison-release" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released early</a> due to the Covid-19 pandemic. </p><p>After his release, Tekashi 6ix9ine re-entered the music scene and had little qualms about his snitch status.</p><p>While on Instagram Live, <a href="https://www.insider.com/tekashi-6ix9ine-gooba-music-video-livestream-snitching-prison-release-2020-5" target="_blank" rel="noopener">he told more than two million followers that he didn't regret</a> snitching on his former gang associates. </p><p>"Kidnap me?
