At times, I do catch him with the camera off, or browsing something else,” Batul Munim, the mother of two boys (ages 6 and 10), told Business Insider India. Munim says his son has had several meltdowns since May-end once the ‘original vacation’ period got over. “Every other sentence would start with: Mom, if we are in school, then this would happen.” She further adds that online lessons have been more challenging for her six-year-old son, who wants to escape after every class. “He is sleepy, hungry, and disinterested, or sometimes it is plain boredom,” she added. “The physical play that students would have when they are in an outdoor system; that thing is not there in a flat system. It is definitely affecting health, and no social interaction is adding more to this. When students go to school, they have recess or lunch breaks to meet people and chat. But in an online class, students cannot chat,” Dr. Geeta Dalal, a ‎Psychologist, Special Educator &amp; Dyslexia Therapist, told Business Insider India. India records 62,064 new corona cases, record over 1,000 deaths

<ul><li>The University Grants Commission (<keyword id="44171" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="UGC">UGC</keyword>) told the Supreme Court on Monday that degrees would not be recognised if no examinations are held for final-year students even as the country was facing coronavirus crisis.</li><li>The UGC response was conveyed by its counsel, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, on a batch of pleas that challenged the UGC schedule for final-year university exams before September 30.</li></ul> The University Grants Commission (UGC) told the Supreme Court on Monday that degrees would not be recognised if no examinations are held for final-year students even as the country was facing coronavirus crisis. The UGC response was conveyed by its counsel, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, on a batch of pleas that challenged the UGC schedule for final-year university exams before September 30. Mehta contended before a bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan that it's not in the interest of students to not hold exams. He asked the top court for time to file a reply to Delhi and Maharashtra governments' affidavits, wherein they said they had decided to cancel the exams in state universities. The petitioners' counsel contended that the UGC guideline for holding exams are "not legally or constitutionally valid". Mehta argued that Delhi's and Maharashtra's decisions to cancel exams in their respective state universities are against the UGC rules. He argued that the UGC is the only body that can prescribe rules for conferring a degree, and the state governments cannot change the rules. The counsel for one of the petitioners replied that there is complete inconsistency in the Ministry of Human Resource Development and UGC guidelines. The top court adjourned the hearing till Friday, after the UGC asked for time to respond to the affidavits filed by Delhi and Maharashtra. The 2,475 metre-high Mt. Sinabung is under an alert status, a local volcanology agency was quoted as saying by the <keyword id="106387" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Xinhua-news-agency">Xinhua news agency</keyword>. In case of rains of ash, locals were expected to wear face masks outdoors to reduce health impacts, the agency said in a statement, adding that residents were also expected to keep unpolluted water and clean up their house roofs from thick volcanic ash to avoid possible collapses. The agency also called on people who live by rivers whose upstream in the volcano to remain cautious of possible hot and cool lava flowing to the rivers. Mt. Global COVID-19 cases top 19.7 million, says Johns Hopkins University

Odisha’s common PG entrance test CPET-2020 to commence from September 30

Currently, WhatsApp works on a single device and it is not possible to use the account on multiple devices, a most requested demand from the users. According to WABetainfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp in Beta, the messaging app is working on the possibility to use the same account on different devices. "They are testing the feature in order to work with 4 devices at the same time," the report said on Sunday. WhatsApp is already working on to create an interface for Android as well as iOS. "When the user wants to use WhatsApp on a second device, there is the need to copy the chat history. In this case, WhatsApp always requires a Wi-Fi connection, because it may use a large amount of your data plan," said the report. When WhatsApp has safely copied the chat history to the second device, it will be finally possible to use your account from it. "Note that any message will be delivered to all your family devices, so your chat history will be always synced across platforms, and when you use or remove a device, your encryption key changes," said the report. When the encryption key changes during the process, all active chats will be notified. WhatsApp has also reportedly developed an iPad app that will be released after the activation of the feature, so you will be able to use WhatsApp on your iPhone and your iPad at the same time. The company used WhatsApp for Desktop for this test. It is possible that WhatsApp will allow mobile devices to be connected to your main device later than WhatsApp for Desktop, according to the report. Currently, one can simultaneously access one WhatsApp account both from a PC -- through WhatsApp Web  and a smartphone.
