India are all set to host the South Africa team for the five <keyword id="7389867" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="t20-match-series" source="Orion">T20 match series</keyword>, which will be played across the country in June, shortly after the completion of IPL 2022. Ahmedabad, March 12 (IANS) The Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera will be filled up to 50 per cent of its capacity during the five-match T20I series between India and England that starts on Friday, the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) said. "Considering the COVID-19 pandemic, Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) has decided to use only 50 per cent capacity of the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad for the five T20 Internationals to be played here between India and England from March 12, 2021 to March 20, 2021. All the COVID-19 related precautions have been taken and all standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being followed," said the GCA in its statement. "Up to 50% tickets will be issued on the online and offline ticketing platforms for these matches," GCA vice-president Dhanraj Nathwani said. The GCA further said that the stadium, which also hosted the third and fourth Tests between India and England in February and March, has been sanitised. "All COVID-19 guidelines are being strictly adhered to and special task force committees have been set up to ensure that all required safety measures are implemented and followed," said the GCA. The first T20I will be followed by the second match on March 14, the third on March 16, the fourth T20I on March 18 and the fifth on March 20.

India eye series win as they take on Bangladesh in 2nd T20I

The BCCI has set up an organising committee for ICC World Twenty20, which will be held in India next year. 
 
The World T20 tournament, which will be hosted by the BCCI, will held from March 11 to April 3, 2016. 
 <keyword id="2955406" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="BCCI-secretary-Anurag-Thakur">BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur</keyword> informed that MV Sridhar, general manager for cricket operations at BCCI as the tournament director while former Delhi Police commissioner Neeraj Kumar, who is the chief advisor security and ACSU of BCCI will be the director of Security and ACSU for the event. 
 
While Amrit Mathur is appointed as the principal coordinator, RP Shah will be the tournament manager finance. KVP Rao, manager - game development of the BCCI has been appointed as the manager for cricket operations while Nishant Jeet Arora, media manager of the BCCI, will be the tournament media manager. 
 
N Srinivasan's assistant Mayank Parikh has been nominated as manager - logistics and hospitality for the event. 
 
Professor Ratnakar Shetty has been appointed as an advisor to the committee.

BCCI gears up for 2016 ICC World T20, forms organising committee

New Delhi, Indian dairy giant <keyword id="19934680" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Amul" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Amul" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="Amul">Amul</keyword> will sponsor the <keyword id="21344767" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="USA-cricket-team" source="keywords">USA cricket team</keyword> in the <keyword id="19921630" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="T20-World-Cup" source="keywords">T20 World Cup</keyword> in June, the country's cricket board announced on Thursday. The USA will be making their tournament debut as co-hosts of the tournament beginning June 1. Part of the event, including the semifinals and finals, will take place in the Caribbean. Amul was named the Lead Arm sponsor of the USA national team at an event in New York. The World Cup opener will be played between USA and Canada on June 1. The Indian dairy behemoth with global footprints has sponsored cricket teams in the past as well including the Netherlands. Amul milk is also now being sold in the USA. USA recently beat Canada 4-0 in a bilateral series. Venu Pisike, Chairman of <keyword id="21344769" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="USA-Cricket" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="USA Cricket" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="USA Cricket">USA Cricket</keyword>, said: "Collaborating with esteemed brands like Amul inspires us to strive for excellence both on and off the field."
