Each variant comes equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, and their ex-showroom prices are set at Rs 819,500, Rs 846,500, and Rs 919,500, respectively. It comes equipped with six airbags for enhanced safety, automatic climate control, a rear AC vent, and a wireless charger. Maruti Suzuki's Epic New Swift S-CNG launched, price starts from Rs 8,19,500

New Delhi: <keyword id="19909974" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="maruti-suzuki" source="keywords">Maruti Suzuki</keyword> <keyword id="19895063" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="india" source="keywords">India</keyword> is looking to sell around 6 lakh CNG vehicles in the current fiscal, an increase of around 25 per cent as compared to FY24, according to a senior company executive. The country's largest carmaker company on Wednesday expanded its CNG model range as it rolled out its premium hatchback Swift with S-CNG trims. "This fiscal we are targeting to sell around 6 lakh CNG units. We ended last year with sales of around 4.77 lakh units," <keyword id="20035105" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="maruti-suzuki-india-senior" source="keywords">Maruti Suzuki India Senior</keyword> Executive Officer (Marketing and Sales) <keyword id="21102180" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="partho-banerjee" source="keywords">Partho Banerjee</keyword> told PTI in an interaction. In the April-August period this fiscal, the auto major has so far sold 2.21 lakh units, he added. The new Swift comes in three variants priced at Rs 8.19 lakh; Rs 8.46 lakh and Rs 9.19 lakh respectively. <keyword id="20068420" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="banerjee" source="keywords">Banerjee</keyword> said the S-CNG trims deliver a fuel-efficiency of 32.85 km/kg. "The company pioneered the production of CNG vehicles in India back in 2010. Since then, we have sold over 2 million S-CNG vehicles to date, contributing to a significant reduction of 2 million tonnes of CO2 emissions," he added. The company now offers 14 models with CNG technology, Banerjee said. "Last fiscal year, our CNG sales in the passenger vehicle category witnessed a 46.8 per cent growth, compared to 2022-23 and registered a compound annual growth rate of around 28 per cent since 2010," he noted.

Hence, it has passed on some impact of the additional cost to customers through a price rise. The increase in ex-showroom prices (Delhi) is up to ₹15,000 on the above models, the company said in an exchange filing on July 12. The ex-showroom price of a vehicle is the cost of a car or a bike without considering the charges paid for registering the vehicle at the regional transport office (RTO), road tax, and insurance. The change in prices will be effective from today, July 12. The automotive manufacturer informed investors that there will be price increases in other models as well, shortly. This comes at a time when the company has lost market share to KIA and Hyundai. Its market share came down from 51% to 47% in FY21, while the market share of KIA and Hyundai increased and stood at about 23% during the period, according to a report by CNBC-TV18. Also, the largest vehicle manufacturer in India has been witnessing shutdown in some manufacturing units due to COVID-19 restrictions impacting its overall operations. “The production in June 2020 was far from normal owing to COVID-19 related lockdowns and disruptions. Hence comparison of June 2021 production figures with that of any previous year would not be very meaningful, the company said while announcing June’s production numbers. The company’s overall production rose 1,65,576 units in June 2021 compared to 50,742 units in June 2020. Meanwhile, the company recently launched Maruti Suzuki Smart Finance, a digital platform through which one can initiate the process of buying a car. According to the report, 59% of queries and online sales closed by Droom comprised two-wheelers (41% bikes, 26% scooters). Cars accounted for 38% of total sales, whereas the rest was occupied by superbikes and supercars. Bikes on the platform were bought at an average price of Rs 43,360, while cars sold at an average price of Rs 5,76,969.

Somewhat surprisingly, petrol and CNG cars saw a dip in sales from 59% to 52% and 7% to 4% respectively from 2015 to 2016. Diesel vehicles, on the other hand, reported an increase in sales from 34% to 44%. Hatchbacks also reported a drop in sales from 43% to 40%, while Sedan and SUVs almost remained at par to the previous year’s numbers. MUVs reported a slight increase from 6% to 9%. The average time span of resold used automobiles was 5 years.

New Delhi, Feb 9 () India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India is banking on introduction of petrol variants of existing models such as Vitara Brezza besides exploring more CNG options to make up for lost numbers as it discontinues diesel options while moving to BS-VI emission norms.The company, which last week showcased the petrol version of its popular compact SUV Vitara Brezza that was earlier available only in diesel option, is also gearing up to bring petrol version of its S-Cross model."We have the optimism to recover what we are losing in diesel through this increase in petrol. We have a double task. It is not like comparing current portfolio with next year, it is like current portfolio minus diesel in next year," Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Executive Director (Marketing &amp; Sales) Shashank Srivastava told .Elaborating the scale of task in hand, he said,"In April-January period, the contribution of diesel vehicles to (MSI's) total sales was 21 per cent. For this fiscal year it (total number of diesel vehicles sold by the company) is projected to be around 2.7-2.8 lakh units."In April-January, the company sold a total of 12,45,197 units in the domestic market as against 14,66,987 units in the year-ago period, down 15.1 per cent."It is a marketing task and that's the challenge. We will try. Vitara Brezza petrol is one of the main (models to drive up petrol vehicle volumes)," Srivastava added.Exuding confidence of petrol Brezza to be accepted in the market, he said, "In entry-level SUV segment only competition sells 58 per cent in petrol. That 58 per cent can drop down dramatically if we add Brezza and that's what we are trying to do."MSI is launching Vitara Brezza in petrol option powered by a 1.5 litre engine later this month, while it is gearing up to bring its premium crossover vehicle S-Cross, which was also available only in diesel option, with a petrol engine, in March.Last year, the company announced that it would stop selling diesel vehicles, particularly small cars, as affordability would be an issue once BS-VI norms are implemented and it phased out diesel options gradually as it started rolling out only BS-VI compliant vehicles in petrol.The company's diesel vehicle line-up included Swift, Dzire, Baleno, Ciaz, Vitara Brezza, Ertiga and light commercial vehicle Super Carry.MSI has, however, said it was not totally closed on reviewing its diesel strategy stating if there was demand even at higher cost from consumers for diesel vehicles, then it would consider upgrading its 1.5 litre diesel engine to meet BS-VI emission standards.MSI Senior Executive Director (Engineering) C V Raman said a call to upgrade diesel engine to BS-VI standard would be taken after assessing demand from the market when the stricter emission norms are implemented.He further said the other option available to the company is to increase its CNG portfolio to partially offset loss from discontinuation of diesel vehicles.The company has eight popular models offered with CNG option."We will introduce (CNG option) on other models also because we have to expand further depending on customer requirement. We will do research and find out if there is requirement in all these areas. If required we will definitely do," Raman said.The company's models which do no have CNG option are Swift, Baleno, Ciaz, Vitara Brezza and S-Cross.He said the government's plans to increase CNG stations to 10,000 will enhance penetration of CNG in existing locations and also add new areas on the CNG network map and MSI is working closely with the government."When they are increasing in existing locations they are easing filling of CNG and when they are opening in new locations we are able to reach to a larger population...We are mapping the whole thing. The car is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that can develop 105 PS of power and 138 Nm of peak torque. It is expected to be available in a 5-speed manual option and the company may also launch a mild-hybrid tech option with a 4-speed AT. Maruti Suzuki XL5 - September 2020 Maruti Suzuki XL5 is expected to be a premium version of the Wagon R hatchback. It has been spotted several times and is expected to be announced in September this year. It is as tall as the Wagon R but is much wider at the base. The XL5 will be equipped with a BS6 compliant 1.2 Litre 4-Cylinder K-series engine which can develop 82 bhp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque.
