<keyword id="10387" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="microsoft" source="Orion">Microsoft</keyword> has introduced <keyword id="12500967" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="windows-11-se" source="Orion">Windows 11 SE</keyword>, a lighter version of <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/tech/apps/news/how-to-install-android-apps-on-windows-11/articleshow/87201026.cms" data-type="tilCustomLink">Windows 11</a> specifically designed for educational purposes along with <keyword id="12402267" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="surface-laptop-se" source="Orion">Surface Laptop SE</keyword>. The new Windows 11 edition is a simplified version of Microsoft's newest OS release, customized for the education market. Microsoft says Windows 11 SE has been optimized for education focused low-cost PCs. Unlike normal Windows 11, Windows 11 SE comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office out of the box, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, and OneDrive, which can also be used offline as part of a Microsoft 365 license. Windows 11 SE will only be available preloaded on new devices for the education market. It won't be available for existing devices or made available separately for users to install on any other devices. Various OEMs, including Acer, ASUS, Dell, Dynabook, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo and other PC makers also will be rolling out their own Windows 11 SE PCs. Meanwhile, the Surface Laptop SE will start at $249.99, making it Microsoft's cheapest device to date. Surface Laptop SE features a 16:9 11.6-inch 1366x768 TFT display, an Intel Celeron N4020 and N4120, 4GB or 8GB RAM, and 64GB or 128GB eMMC storage, all housed in a plastic exterior chassis. The laptop is lightweight too. Connectivity on the Surface Laptop SE includes one USB-A port, one USB-C port, a DC connector, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The laptop also comes with a 1MP camera at the front for video calls. The laptop includes WiFi 5 (802.11ac) support and Bluetooth 5.0 LE. The outside of the laptop is covered in a full plastic clamshell with a white color Microsoft calls "Glacier." It will be available in the US, the UK, Canada and Japan.

The Mukesh Ambani-led telco is now gearing up to enter the laptop segment in the country with an affordable offering. Earlier this year, a XDA <a href="https://www.xda-developers.com/jiobook-by-reliance-jio-jioos-rumor/">report</a> had revealed that Reliance Jio is working on a laptop, dubbed as JioBook. According to a MySmartPrice <a href="https://www.mysmartprice.com/gear/reliance-jiobook-geekbench-specifications-revealed/">report</a>, the JioBook has now been spotted on Geekbench, revealing some of its specifications ahead of the launch. In September, three JioBook models, NB1118QMW, NB1148QMW, and NB1112MM were spotted on the BIS certification site. Now, the NB1112MM variant has been spotted on Geekbench. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="JioBook features" comment="subhead" text="JioBook features">JioBook features</cmsannotation> The JioBook with the model number NB1112MM will reportedly run on the MediaTek MT8788 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM. Instead of Windows, the laptop will run on Android 11-based JioOS. The device scored 1178 points in the single-core test and 4246 points in the multi-core test. The MT788 chipset is an octa-core chipset with four performance cores and four power-efficiency cores. Apart from this, the company is also expected to launch a model with the Snapdragon 665 chipset. The company is expected to launch the laptops in 2GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variants. The JioBook is expected to support 4G LTE connectivity and come pre-loaded with Jio’s suite of apps. While there is no information about the JioBook’s pricing, we expect it to be priced in the affordable segment considering its specifications. It will likely be aimed at students and first-time laptop users. We should know more about the JioBook in the coming days. Now, a Bloomberg report mentions that the device can come by 2026 and will be an "iPad/MacBook hybrid". The Apple device will feature a dual-screen display that omits a physical keyboard and trackpad, and a touchscreen will help the users navigate and type on the device. Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 Fold has a 13-inch display that folds in the centre to become a touchscreen laptop. Reports surfaced last week that Apple is likely delaying its foldable iPhone until 2025 as the company has reportedly shifted its focus towards foldable MacBooks. Apple is yet to launch a foldable iPhone but there were reports about such a device getting launched soon. However, a new report indicates that the foldable iPhone has been delayed. Young suggested that Apple's foldable iPhone is delayed until 2025. The reason given for this is that the company is exploring all-screen foldable MacBooks. The company is now focusing on MacBooks and is allegedly exploring the possibility of offering an all-screen foldable notebook. The company is currently in discussion with suppliers for around 20-inch foldable screen. The company is set to launch several new products this year, including the Apple iPhone 14 series, M2 chipset, MacBooks powered by the M2 chipset, a 27-inch iMac Pro with M1 Pro or M1 Max processor, and a new Mac Mini, among others.
