Moreover, Curiosity found not just one, but a field of these bright sulphur rocks!<br /><br />Since October 2023, Curiosity has been exploring a sulphate-rich area of <keyword id="19901192" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mars" source="keywords">Mars</keyword>. Essentially salts containing sulphur, sulphates typically form as water evaporates. Previously, Mars has revealed sulphur combined with other elements in sulphur-based minerals. But this rock showed pure elemental sulphur, marking a stark contrast. The connection between this sulphur and other sulphur-based minerals in the region remains unknown.<br /><br />“Finding a field of stones made of pure sulphur is like finding an oasis in the desert. It shouldn't be there, so now we have to explain it. The rover's instruments analysed the powderised rock, revealing its composition. 400;">Initiated</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in 2002 with an overall budget of $6 million, the program has since expanded to 1,960 Chempacks </span><a href="http://blogs.cdc.gov/publichealthmatters/2015/02/cdcs-chempack-program-the-stockpile-that-may-protect-you-from-a-chemical-attack/" target="_blank"><span style="font-weight: 400;">strategically located</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in 1,340 locations in the US.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In fact, more than 90% of the US population is an hour away from a href="http://www.ashp.org/menu/News/PharmacyNews/NewsArticle.aspx?id=1656" target="_blank"><span style="font-weight: 400;">not disclosed</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> to the public. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">There are </span><a href="http://blogs.cdc.gov/publichealthmatters/2015/02/cdcs-chempack-program-the-stockpile-that-may-protect-you-from-a-chemical-attack/" target="_blank"><span style="font-weight: 400;">two different types</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> of Chempacks: a version for first responders, which is used to treat up to 454 people; and a more robust version for hospitals, which is used to treat up to 1,000 people.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Each chempack unit contains the <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/phpr/documents/coopagreement-archive/fy2004/chempack-attachj.pdf" target="_blank">antidotes</a></span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> to prevent human nervous system failure, such as Diazepam, which reduces the severity of chemically-induced convulsions. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">To deliver these agents, the Chempack also </span><a href="http://www.ashp.org/menu/News/PharmacyNews/NewsArticle.aspx?id=1656" target="_blank"><span style="font-weight: 400;">includes</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> military grade MARK 1 autoinjectors that are loaded with doses of the antidotes.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:
