<ul><li><keyword id="173264" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="sula-vineyards" source="Orion">Sula Vineyards</keyword> filed a DRHP with SEBI to raise funds via a public offer.</li><li>The wine maker is well known for its wine brands like <keyword id="335034" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="sula" source="Orion">Sula</keyword>, RASA, Dindori, The Source, Satori, Madera and Dia.</li><li>The company registered an annual growth of 13.7% between FY11 to FY21.</li></ul>Nasik-based Sula Vineyards, the country’s largest wine producer, today filed a draft red herring prospectus or DRHP for a public offer, with the markets regulator, SEBI. While the amount to be raised has not been revealed as yet, the company is well known for its wine brands such as Sula, RASA, Dindori, The Source, Satori, Madera and Dia. It produces 56 different labels of wine across 13 distinct brands. It has six production facilities in Maharashtra and Karnataka. The company registered an annual growth of 13.7% between FY11 to FY21, as per the DRHP. On the basis of total revenue from operations, it has gained market share from 33% in FY09 in the grapes wine category to 52.6% in FY21. Its business can be classified under production of wine, import and distribution of wines and spirits and sale of services from ownership and operation of wine tourism venues including vineyard resorts and tasting rooms. The issue with a face value of ₹2 per equity share is a complete offer for sale (OFS) aggregating to 25,546,186 equity shares. Sula services close to 8,000 hotels, restaurants and caterers, and tie-ups with distributors in Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi, Goa and Punjab with close to 13,000 retail touchpoints across the country in 2021. Sula’s Shiraz Cabernet is India’s largest selling wine by value in FY21, with its gross billings amounting to ₹91.8 crore in FY22. Wine market in India will remain concentrated with high barriers to entry due to the nature of the product in addition to the trade barriers prevalent in the alcoholic beverage market. The demand for wines in urban and semi-urban areas of India is on the rise, the DRHP says. Kotak Mahindra Capital, CLSA and IIFL Securities are the book running lead managers and KFin Technologies is the registrar to the offer. The equity shares are proposed to be listed on BSE and NSE. It has been edited for length and clarity.My mom was the director of a study abroad program, so I had the opportunity to visit London every year while growing up.During one of those visits, we went to <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/why-you-should-visit-scotland-traditions-castles-2022-2">Scotland</a>. I was around 15 at the time, and I didn't appreciate it as much as I should have.After graduating from college, my husband and I tried to travel as much as possible. It was incredible, and we ended up coming back multiple times because the country is so unique.I've now visited Scotland around a dozen times.<h2 id="44373344-99fe-4b65-88ef-235abb6d8d4e">Not venturing outside the capital</h2>People are often drawn to <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/what-its-like-to-visit-scotland-haunted-edinburgh-castle-photos-2021-8">Edinburgh</a>.But <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/japan-airlines-free-flights-initiative-could-backfire-experts-2024-10">overtourism</a> is an issue, and I think there's a real opportunity for travelers to experience the beauty of the country beyond the capital while also supporting local economies in lesser-known areas.From the charming coastal city of Aberdeen to the dramatic landscapes of the Highlands, Scotland offers diverse experiences that can alleviate pressure on Edinburgh and provide more authentic, uncrowded adventures.If you don't want to drive, you can take a <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/what-taking-beautiful-train-ride-is-like-scotrail-west-highland-line">train</a>. There's so much to see, and I found it very accessible.<div type="image" title="A woman sits on a bench overlooking large hills and a body of water." height="8192" width="5464" msid="114195156" hostid="261" sizebytes="4073204"></div>Every time we come to Scotland, we always prioritize getting out into nature and going on hikes or taking a scenic train ride because it's so beautiful, and I don't think you can really get that feeling if you only go to Edinburgh.For a more budget-friendly trip, consider traveling during spring or autumn.<h2 id="f0fccefb-31da-45ae-a0b5-dfe1d9f622b7">Being unprepared for the weather</h2>When I was growing up, I mostly visited the UK during the summer months, so I thought it didn't rain that much. But since moving to Oxford, UK, I realized I was wrong.You can never be sure of the <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/scotland-tips-how-tourists-can-pass-as-locals-2023-10">weather in Scotland</a>. Last year, we visited Scotland in July, and I remember I was wearing a sweater, and I just thought, "This is just heaven because in Texas, I'd be absolutely sweating."<h2 id="64699f3d-6016-4d1f-b021-748146164b5f">Not following the signs</h2>Earlier this summer, we visited the Isle of Skye, and we were checking out a waterfall. We previously visited the same waterfall in 2019, and I can remember it being surrounded by lush, green grass.But now most of the grass in that area is gone, seemingly because of people trampling on it.There was a fenced-off area beside the waterfall, and a sign said, "Don't climb." I watched one girl ignore it and climb the fence to get a photo.I love that people in Scotland have the <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.thenational.scot/news/23931574.rules-exceptions-right-roam-scotland/">right to roam</a>, and there's so much freedom and flexibility. But it should be obvious to follow the signs.

All of my best friends have children, and I love them and think they have beautiful, wonderful lives. It's something I always thought I would do.But as Michael and I started <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/caribbean-native-more-than-sun-sea-sand-2024-8">traveling</a> and living life a little bit differently, I realized that my passions and what I wanted out of life weren't necessarily kids.We dated for six years before getting married in 2011. I do a lot of the content creation, and he plans the trips and does the business side.We have been able to see more of the world because both of our schedules are flexible.After three years in Germany, we returned to the US and <a target="_blank" rel="" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/personal-finance/personal-loans/how-to-buy-an-rv">bought an RV</a>. We traveled the country for four years before moving to Oxford, England.<h2 id="bc9a9209-1f93-424b-9500-1bc6a36f1818">Moving abroad helped me realize I didn't want kids</h2>I was in my late 20s when we first moved abroad, and at that time I always thought I would have children — but later.I never had that strong desire or motherly gene. But I ended up making friends with people who didn't have kids, and it made me realize that there were other options and that I didn't have to do it just because other people did.I took a step back and asked myself: "Wait a minute, do I even want that? Do I want kids?"It should be something that you really want to do because it is so selfless and very difficult. It requires a lot of work and effort.I think it's absolutely miraculous and beautiful — but so are some of the things that I want to do. Some of my desires are worthy, too.It doesn't mean I'm bad or weird. It just means I might want something a little bit different.It doesn't mean you have to stop the friendships you have. I'm still close with all my friends that have kids.People always wonder, "Well, OK, but are you going to be OK when you get old?"That's not the right question to ask. You shouldn't <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/only-child-caring-aging-parents-burden-2024-7">rely on kids to take care of you</a> when that might not be the case.So, I've made sure to set up my life, and we have savings to ensure that something is there for us when we're older.I'm really satisfied and excited about the path that I'm on, and kids are not part of that. And that's OK.

I tried and failed at many different avenues with the blog and eventually figured out a way to monetize it.The blog gave my husband and me the freedom to move abroad, and in 2016, we moved to <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/best-lesser-known-european-travel-destinations-from-frequent-traveler">Heidelberg, Germany</a>, without ever having set foot in the country.<h2 id="2c8624e1-c118-4883-b40f-79b91282a4cc">Moving to Europe was no utopia</h2>We spent a year researching where to move before we landed in Germany.All of our previous travel was to bigger cities, but this time, we were going to a smaller city and seeing something we'd never seen before.It felt like a completely different world—like when Harry Potter went to the wizarding world for the first time.<div type="image" title="helene castle" height="5554" width="3526" msid="112629024" hostid="261" sizebytes="1789206"></div>We were charged with excitement. And then, of course, reality set in. Everything's different. It's a different language.There are pros and cons to absolutely every place on the planet. I often see things online, like: "If I were to move to Europe, my life would be better."Living any life like that — saying, "If this happens, then I'll be happy" — is a recipe for disaster. Because wherever you go, there you are. You're still going to have issues and problems that arise. Having an open mind and seeing what you can learn is really beneficial.We often consider Europe a utopia because of its healthcare system or because <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/work-life-balance-of-us-france-uk-australia-compared-2023-3">workers get more time off</a>. There's definitely something to be said about those things.But making a blanket statement about Europe is misguided. Life can be tough, no matter where you are.<h2 id="905ad105-d612-4677-a617-2e1e8e8be319">Life in the UK</h2>After three years in Germany, we returned to the US.We <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/personal-finance/personal-loans/how-to-buy-an-rv">bought an RV</a> and traveled across America, splitting our time between that and spending time with family in Dallas.Four years later, we moved to Oxford, England.It's been so wonderful because Oxford, in my opinion, is very similar to Heidelberg. They are both university towns — Heidelberg has the oldest university in Germany, and Oxford has the oldest university in all of the English-speaking world.It's also close to London and the airport. It was the perfect pick.The plan is to stay in England for two years, then return to the US and really start exploring. We've never been to Australia, New Zealand, or South America, and we want to take some longer trips to other places.There are always more places to explore.What's been so interesting about living abroad is the ebbs and flows. There are super high highs and low lows. You miss your friends and family back home. You often feel lost, whether that's lost in translation, lost while driving, or in the different rules.But it has always been worth it.

I moved from the US to Germany and the UK. I love Europe, but it's not the utopia Americans think it is.

It's been edited for length and clarity.I'm the beverage director at Kimpton Grand Roatán Resort and Spa in Roatán, Bay Islands, Honduras. I moved here from <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/moved-to-denver-colorado-and-regretted-it-2023-11">Denver</a> in 2023.I worked in hospitality in downtown Denver for over 10 years. Restaurant work provided the flexibility in my schedule that I needed to work through my two degrees. I'm also a certified sommelier.After four years in various front-of-house restaurant positions, I applied at the then-Kimpton Hotel Born. I worked there for five years, with three as the beverage manager for the entire hotel property.<h2 id="d88dcfa1-514c-404c-a71d-f0ff9c275291">Denver is my hometown</h2>I grew up in a suburb just west of the city and moved to the downtown area when I was 19. <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/moving-california-to-denver-colorado-best-choice-2023-12">Denver</a> has professional sports, a world-class performing arts center, a dynamic restaurant scene, and diverse cultural festivals, but the culture is still extremely connected to the natural wonders of the state. People who <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/moved-to-colorado-mountains-mistake-left-2024-3">live in Colorado</a> love being outdoors.However, the secret is out. In the last 10 years, the influx of people moving to Denver has impacted traffic, the cost of living, and the sustainability of urban growth.<h2 id="94690e93-8fcc-4a16-aada-3f02ab25212a">In November 2022, I attended one of Kimpton's internal conferences</h2>One night, during a social event, I sat with one of our corporate directors of restaurant openings. As I was telling him about my travel background, my fluency in Spanish, and my willingness to move, he just asked me out of nowhere, "Would you be willing to go to Roatán?" Without hesitation, I said, "Yes!"One month later, we discussed the details of the property and the job, which offered a comparable salary to my Denver position. I would receive a <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/what-relocation-moving-benefits-new-hire-should-ask-for-reimbursement-2023-5">relocation package</a>, onboarding support, and work visa assistance. In February 2023, I made plans to pack up and move.I was excited but also nervous about moving across the world, sight unseen, by myself. I was sad to be moving away from my hometown and my friends, family, and professional community. Still, I was happy and proud for taking a leap of faith.<h2 id="01fcc50a-e29d-434b-8b31-65b942639765">I got rid of everything in my small apartment</h2>What I could, I sold, gave away, or donated, and I stored the rest at my best friend's dad's house. I brought two suitcases and a backpack with me here.Once I arrived, I stayed on the property for a few months, which gave me a nice landing pad and time to figure out permanent housing and transportation. The property market is geared toward vacation homes and <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/airbnb-numbers-shrink-hotel-prices-soar-ban-nyc-2024-6">short-term rentals</a>, but with the help of my local coworkers and diligent prowling of Facebook groups and ads, I found something decent.Rent in Roatán is cheaper than in Denver, but it varies. I live in a two-bedroom apartment on a quiet hill above one of the main towns, 15 minutes from work, with plenty of space for friends and family to come visit. My rent is $1,200 a month, and cable, hot water, a parking space, and a washer/dryer are included. I also bought a car.<h2 id="5c4dc4f7-0848-46ff-8dd0-69db08eee416">In Roatán, life is completely different</h2><div type="image" title="a hotel on a turquoise beach" height="2250" width="3000" msid="112565534" hostid="261" sizebytes="755264"></div>In Denver, I would pack my days with a morning trail run, errands, a matinée at the theater, and dinner with a friend at a new restaurant. Driving 100 miles daily from one small adventure to the next wouldn't be uncommon.Here, the island itself is only 35 miles long. There's no movie theater, bowling alley, or mall, but only a few discotecas and a handful of decent restaurants. My leisure time has become more slowly paced and centers on <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/fitness-tips-82-year-old-scuba-diver-healthy-aging-longevity-2024-5">scuba diving</a>, reading a book by the pool, or a sunset cruise on the water.I had never been comfortable in the ocean and didn't like seafood much before moving. I've overcome my fear of the water and its creatures and became someone who now compulsively jumps off boats.<h2 id="56038ffd-58a9-45d5-ad09-0e40c367fc5e">When I first arrived, I struggled with loneliness and boredom</h2>I spent many days and nights <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/loneliness-making-friends-companionship-time-alone-2024-6">feeling alone</a>, questioning what I was doing with my life and why I was putting myself through this. However, I have no problems sitting at a bar alone watching sports or chatting with my neighbor. Although it took longer, I've made some good friends outside work.What I love most about Roatán is the people. Their innate warmth and hospitality, love for visitors and each other, and a genuine sense of community and mutual care make me want to never leave.I still get island fever, but making regular trips to get off the island has helped. La Ceiba is just a quick flight or ferry across the channel. Miami is also an easy direct flight away and fills my city needs with a little nightlife and shopping. I've also visited San Pedro Sula on Honduras' mainland for work and events, and the culinary scene there is bustling.<h2 id="a0eb2132-52da-49ed-a1a9-7b5561f509c6">Moving abroad is hard</h2>There have been many <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/cultural-differences-between-us-europe-american-traveler-2024-2">cultural differences</a> to navigate: communication styles differ, time is perceived much more relatively, and language and how people relate to one another are more personal. But for me, the most shocking change was environmental: going from high altitude to being at sea level, from snow to beach.The bug bites were terrible initially, but my body has adjusted, and they don't bother me as much anymore. Regulating my body temperature was hard at first, too, but over time, I got used to sweating and drinking more water. After a while, you get used to sand being everywhere.The girl who spent every Sunday at the theater is now eating fried chicken on the side of the road in a faraway village, listening to punta music, and watching the sun dip far away into the horizon. My ability to adapt, grow, and change continues to surprise me.My contract doesn't have a set timeframe, so I'll stay as long as there are opportunities for me to grow in my career and have a good work-life balance so I can enjoy the island life.Want to share your relocation story?
