I went to a New York fish farm and saw how Singapore Airlines sources the fish for its 'tank-to-plane' meals onboard the world's longest flights

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Erin Lichy is a real-estate agent on Douglas Elliman's Eklund Gomes Team and flips properties.</li><li>She is also a cast mate on the rebooted "Real Housewives of New York City," premiering July 16.</li></ul><p>Erin Lichy has mastered the art of multitasking.</p><p>The 36 year old is a real-estate agent on Douglas Elliman's Eklund Gomes Team, which she joined in 2018, and oversees <a href="https://www.instagram.com/homegirlny/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Homegirl</a>, a renovation and interior design firm she founded a year later.</p><p>Her two jobs play off each other: One day Lichy might sell a dated $5 million condo on the Upper West Side. A few years later, she might help that former client redesign the interior <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/increase-home-value-sellers-design-tips-home-flipper-erin-lichy-2023-1">to amp up what it can fetch when it lists</a>. </p><p>Homegirl's modus operandi is to "design and renovate apartments for both the client and the market," Lichy told Insider.</p><p>While Lichy works with sellers to maximize their profit when listing a property, she's dabbled in flipping properties, too. Lichy once purchased a Hell's Kitchen apartment for $670,000 and and sold for $1.06 million after $55,000 in renovations, a 58% increase.</p><p>Lichy earned her real-estate license at 19 years old and received a master's degree in sustainable development from New York University. She hasn't looked back since.</p><p>On top of her full schedule, she's also a cast member of the rebooted "Real Housewives of New York City," premiering on July 16, and often has shoots throughout the day.</p><p>"I'm really a workaholic," she told Insider. "It's actually a problem, but I'm working on it."</p><div type="image" title="The cast of Real Housewives of New York" height="2000" width="2666" msid="101488811" hostid="261" sizebytes="362378"></div><p>Between trips back and forth between her home in Tribeca and her various listings in Manhattan, she still finds time to work out in the morning, pick her kids up from school, and eat — even if it's from her Tesla.</p><p>Lichy let Insider check out what a full day balancing two jobs looks like for her.</p><h2>5:45 a.m.</h2><p>Lichy is up and ready to go. Before coffee or breakfast, she'll start with a celery juice.</p><p>Ideally, she'll get a workout in at Barry's Bootcamp or SLT in Tribeca at 6:30 a.m. If the morning is too crazy, she might instead opt for a midday workout.</p><p>"My office is in Flatiron and there's an SLT a block away," Lichy told Insider. "But I try to get it done in the morning because I have three kids."</p><div type="image" title="A husband and wife sitting at a table with their three children." height="586" width="782" msid="101488816" hostid="261" sizebytes="43230"></div><p>After her morning workout, she'll grab a coffee in lieu of breakfast and help her husband, Abraham Lichy, get their children ready for school. </p><p>Her husband normally takes the older two, Levi and Layla, to school on the Upper East Side, and she takes her 3 ½ year old, Elijah, to school in Tribeca.</p><h2>11 a.m.</h2><p>Before noon, Lichy will stop by the Eklund Gomes office in the Flatiron District — where she also has a design studio for Homegirl — and catch up on some emails.</p><p>Agents often come into her office and ask questions about renovations to help sell properties. She's always game to give out pointers.</p><p>If she has time and it's not too out of the way, she'll show one of her listings.</p><h2>12 p.m.</h2><p>By this point, she'll grab lunch — usually a salad of romaine and mixed greens with "tons of veggies" and either roasted steelhead or avocado from Sweetgreen.</p><p>Because she's normally cruising up and down Manhattan throughout the day, she'll eat on the go in the car. </p><p>"I'm either driving myself or my Tesla's driving me. Or I'm in Ubers," she said. "It's just too hard to get around any other way when I have to do it really quickly."</p><p>After lunch, she'll check in on some of her renovation projects and gauge how they're coming along.</p><div type="image" title="A woman taking a selfie" height="1155" width="1536" msid="101488820" hostid="261" sizebytes="109596"></div><p>If she's still uptown, she'll stop by the D&amp;D Building (which stands for design and decorating) on Third Avenue and check out some samples for clients. Some of her favorite stores for fabrics are Perennials and de Le Cuona.</p><h2>1:30 p.m.</h2><p>Back down to the Lower East Side, Lichy checks in on bigger renovation projects, like a banquette installation in a top-floor East 6th Street unit.</p><p>"My client has this really big dining room and the space wasn't really used properly," Lichy said. "We decided to delineate the spaces and so now we're installing this big banquette that she can have her table around." </p><p>For these kinds of projects, Lichy brings in a millworker and helps direct and approve the installation.</p><p>She continues to bounce around Manhattan like a pinball checking in on numerous design projects. </p><h2>4:35 p.m.</h2><p>Lichy scoops her older kids from school on the Upper East Side and heads back downtown.</p><p>Once all the kids are home, it's time for dinner.</p><p>"My kids love broccoli right now," Lichy said. "We've been doing a lot of either salmon and broccoli and then dessert, or we'll do chicken nuggets — that I try to make myself — or spaghetti and meatballs."</p><div type="image" title="A husband and wife sitting by a fireplace with their three children." height="796" width="1062" msid="101488823" hostid="261" sizebytes="105732"></div><p>She'll do homework with her eldest son, a second-grader, around 6:30 p.m., and soon after it's time for bed for the younger ones. They're in bed by 7:15 p.m. The second-grader goes to bed around 9:00 p.m.</p><p>On Monday's Lichy and her husband try to enjoy some time away from home, whether that be dinner out or simply grabbing drinks in the neighborhood at Brasserie Fouquet's. </p><h2>10:30 p.m.</h2><p>By 10:30 p.m., Lichy is winding down by watching TV, then it's off to bed.</p>

In addition to cutting the less-than-healthy ingredients, Sweetgreen is making warm portobello and roasted steelhead menu mainstays. The chain is also removing&#xa0;70% of the sugars in beverages, instead sweetening with minimal honey or agave. </span></p><p>While few would argue that bacon or Sriracha are health foods, it seems unlikely&#xa0;adding either ingredient&#xa0;to a&#xa0;salad packed with nutrients&#xa0;would&#xa0;negate its nutritional value - especially when items like the pesto vinaigrette, with 22 grams of fat and 190 calories, remain on the menu. <p>What makes the experience of Alinea so unique is the avant-garde dish presentations and unexpected combination of flavors dreamt up by molecular gastronomy chefs <span>Grant Achatz and Nick Kokonas. Each of their 18 tasting menu courses offers a new way to eat that appeals to your taste, sight, touch, and smell.</span></p>
<p>Unsurprisingly, Alinea is also extremely expensive and hard to get into. The restaurant books reservations two months in advance, and requires diners to purchase a ticket for their seat that can cost up to <a href="https://www.alinearestaurant.com/website/welcome/" target="_blank">$285 per person, depending on the day of the week</a>. And that's without including beverages.</p>
<p>Adam Goldberg, a food lover who takes incredible pictures of his meals for his blog <a href="http://www.alifewortheating.com/" target="_blank">A Life Worth Eating</a>, was lucky enough to dine twice at this world-renowned restaurant. He shared pictures of his <a href="http://www.alifewortheating.com/chicago/alinea-revisited%20%20" target="_blank">second round at Alinea</a> with Business Insider.</p>
<p>Achatz has once again changed his menu since Goldberg's 2011 meal, but a few of the courses — including the Hot Potato and Steelhead Roe — are still there.</p>

<p>For humans, reaching the age of 100 is a rare milestone. While <a href="http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12766537">dozens of researchers</a> have <a href="http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15610761">asked this question</a>, the short answer is we still don't know.</p><p>Here are some of the similarities and differences we observed in the animals above.</p><h2>Slow and steady</h2><p>Most of the critters on this list grow and reproduce slowly.</p><p>Take the female <a href="http://www.fws.gov/midwest/sturgeon/biology.htm">lake sturgeon</a> (#7 on this list). She&#xa0;takes anywhere from 14-33 years just to reach sexual maturity, and she only spawns once every 4-9 years. (Male lake sturgeons develop a little faster, maturing in 8-12 years and spawning every 2-7 years). In contrast,&#xa0;<a href="http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov/pr/species/fish/steelhead-trout.html">steelhead trout</a>&#xa0;mature in 2-3 years and live for only 11 years.&#xa0;</p><p>Similarly, the orange roughy (#9), takes 20 years to mature. While it appears to help them with living for long periods, this slow development can be perilous for the population as a whole. <a href="http://www.smh.com.au/environment/fresh-bet-on-an-old-roughy-20150310-13zwvw.html">Overfishing decimated the orange roughy population</a>&#xa0;near Australia in the 1980s, and since the fish grows so slowly the <a href="http://www.afma.gov.au/have-your-say-orange-roughy-rebuilding-strategy/">Australian Fisheries Management Authority</a> estimates it will take up to 65 years to get orange roughy stocks back to target levels.&#xa0;</p><p>While most of the animals on this list grow slowly, the rates at which they mature and reproduce vary. <a href="http://www.wallawalla.edu/academics/departments/biology/rosario/inverts/Echinodermata/Class%20Echinoidea/Echinoida/Strongylocentrotidae/Strongylocentrotus_franciscanus.html">Red sea urchins</a> (#4) and <a href="http://www.fishwatch.gov/seafood_profiles/species/clams/species_pages/ocean_quahog_clam.htm">ocean quahogs</a> (#1) still spawn every year, for example.&#xa0;</p><h2><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"><img src="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/5519876769beddcb498c035d-1200-924/16272151841_56f9af504c_k.jpg" border="0" alt="Bowhead whale" style="font-size: 15px;"><p class="source"><span>Flickr/Bering Land Bridge National Preserve</span></p></img></div><p></p></div></div>Mostly marine</h2><p>Besides Galapagos tortoises (#5) and Aldabra giant tortoises (#8), all the animals on the list live in water. Of the water-dwelling animals, five are fish, two are invertebrates (the ocean quahog and red sea urchin), and only one is a mammal (the bowhead whale).&#xa0;</p><h2>Size doesn't matter</h2><p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">The two top contenders on the list, clams and bowhead whales, couldn't be sized more differently. </span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">While the typical <a href="http://www.fishwatch.gov/seafood_profiles/species/clams/species_pages/ocean_quahog_clam.htm">ocean quahog</a> is between 2.8 to 4.3 inches long,&#xa0;<span style="background-color: #ffff00;"></span></span><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">the </span><a href="http://www.afsc.noaa.gov/nmml/education/cetaceans/bowhead.php">bowhead whale</a><span style="line-height: 1.5em;"> comes in at a massive 65 feet long.&#xa0;</span></p><p>Surprisingly, these two creatures do have one thing in common as far as size is concerned: they eat similarly sized food.
