This is a special price being offered as the device’s MRP, as per Asus’ website, is Rs 1,07,990. Thus, the ROG Ally X is costlier than its predecessor. To recall, the ROG Ally launched in India for Rs 69,990 in July last year. There are console-like controllers on either sides of the device and a 7-inch screen in the middle. The device is powered by the AMD Z1 Extreme CPU processor, complemented by the Radeon 780M iGPU with 12 Compute Units, promising great graphical power and optimization. The device boasts an upgraded 80Wh battery for extended gaming sessions and comes equipped with a full-sized 1TB 2280 M.2 NVME Gen 4 SSD, expandable up to 4TB. Additionally, it features 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at 7500MT/s, promising a smooth and responsive gaming experience. The tablet measures 7.52mm and weighs 568 grams. The tablet comes in two colour options - Quick Silver and Graphite Grey. I got the Graphite Grey colour variant, which comes with a dual-tone matte finish. The area around the rear camera setup has a long strip in a darker tone, while the rest of the back features a lighter tone. <div type="image" title="Back" msid="114583789" hostid="261" sizebytes="52882" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Redmi Pad Pro 5G rear design&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The tablet comes with a minimalistic design, featuring two circular modules at the back – one for the camera and one for the LED. It comes with Redmi branding at the bottom. Apart from this, there’s nothing at the back. Thanks to its metallic body, you don’t have to worry about fingerprint smudges. The volume rockers have been placed considering that the tablet will be used vertically and horizontally. The volume rockers are on the right when held vertically and on the top when used horizontally. <div type="image" title="Top" msid="114584038" hostid="261" sizebytes="25798" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Power button and speakers&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The power button is on the top when held vertically and on the left side when held horizontally. I had no issues using the volume rockers and the power button. The SIM tray has been placed on the right side, along with two microphones. The tablet is equipped with quad speakers – two at the top and two at the bottom. It works well both indoors and outdoors, so you won’t have to worry about using it in sunlight. The tablet’s high resolution and refresh make it an excellent option for watching your favourite movies and shows, gaming and more. <h2>Redmi Pad Pro 5G software and performance</h2>The Redmi Pad Pro 5G runs on Android 14 out of the box, with the company’s HyperOS on top. For those unaware, Xiaomi has replaced MIUI, the company’s custom skin with HyperOS. The tablet will get two years of Android updates and three years of security updates. The tablet comes with a host of connectivity features, including the Smartphone Link feature that allows you to transfer data from your Xiaomi smartphone and tablet easily. In addition to this, you also get a shared clipboard feature, which allows you to copy text and images from your smartphone and paste them onto your tablet. In terms of performance, the tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. It is available in two variants – 8GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB of internal storage. I tested the 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant. This is a mid-range chipset that offers decent performance and is enough to get you through your day-to-day activities. While it is not the most powerful chipset, I did not notice any stuttering or lags while gaming at default settings. The device does get slightly warm after an extended gaming session. The Redmi Pad Pro 5G comes with a huge 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The battery on the tablet is good, offering two days of battery life with some gaming and steaming. Another important feature of the tablet is that it supports 5G connectivity, which is great to have, especially for data connectivity. <h2>Redmi Pad Pro 5G camera</h2>It features an 8MP primary camera with 4K recording support and comes with an 8MP selfie camera with 1080p video recording support. Asus claims that the ROG Ally has double the performance of the Steam Deck thanks to the custom Zen 4 RDNA3 4nm APU from AMD, which allows for higher graphics settings without sacrificing performance. The kickstand can be opened up to 170-degrees, allowing you to set it as per your preference. I found this quite useful as I could set it differently based on whether I’m gaming or catching up on my favourite show. Another interesting feature at the back is a little window that gives you a glimpse of the hardware and provides RGB accent lighting. <ul><li>Kaspersky researchers have warned about a new <keyword id="54201" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="malware" source="Orion">malware</keyword> that is targeting gamers.</li><li>The <keyword id="12192194" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="bloodystealer" source="Orion">BloodyStealer</keyword> malware targets session data, passwords, bank card details, browser autofill data and more.</li><li>The malware also targeted account details of users on Epic Games, Steam, GOG, Origin and Bethesda.</li></ul>Cyberattacks have been increasing over the years due to an increase in online users. Now, a new <a href="https://securelist.com/bloodystealer-and-gaming-assets-for-sale/104319/">report</a> by researchers from popular cybersecurity firm Kaspersky has revealed that cybercriminals have started targeting gamers and their accounts with a new malware dubbed as BloodyStealer. The BloodyStealer malware is capable of fetching session data and passwords and cookie exfiltration. The stealer is capable of targeting bank card details, browser autofill data, screenshots from the computer, desktop and uTorrent client files and more. As per the report, the malware also targeted the session details of clients such as Epic Games, Steam, Origin, GOG, Bethesda, Telegram and VimeWorld. Some of the popular titles available on these stores include GTA V, Fortnite, Battlefield, FIFA 2022 among others. As per the researcher, the malware was first spotted in March 2021 after an advertisement for a malware named as BloodyStealer was noticed on a Russian underground forum. The author asked potential customers to contact him using Telegram. “What caught our attention is BloodyStealer’s capability to fetch information related to computer games installed on an infected system. BloodyStealer targets major online gaming platforms, such as Steam, Epic Games Store, EA Origin, etc.” said Dmitry Galov, researcher, Kaspersky. The BloodyStealer malware was priced at 700 RUB (approx. $10) for one month and a lifetime purchase was priced at 3000 RUB (approx. $40). The data scraped by the malware is sent to a command and control (C&amp;C) server which can then be accessed using Telegram or a dark web panel. “Both C&amp;C servers are placed behind Cloudflare, which hides their original IPs and provides a layer of protection against DDoS and web attacks,” added Galov. The researcher added a few tips for users to protect their gaming accounts from such malware. <ul><li>Enable two-factor authentication for all your accounts.</li><li>Purchase games from official sites only and avoid unknown third-party websites.</li><li>Avoid clicking links received in emails from unknown senders as it could be a phishing attempt.</li><li>Do not click on links directing you to external sites from game chat.
