According to Android Central, the new chip -- <keyword id="11897190" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="snapdragon-898" source="Orion">Snapdragon 898</keyword> -- will power the best Android phones of 2021. A leaked image of an upcoming phone featuring the Snapdragon 898 chipset has now surfaced online, the report said. Going by the leaked image, the Snapdragon 898 will have a tri-cluster configuration featuring a Cortex-X2 prime core clocked at 3.0 GHz, three Cortex-A710 based cores running at 2.5 GHz, and four efficiency-oriented Cortex-A510 cores at 1.79 GHz. The new chip may come with an all-new Adreno 730 GPU, which is expected to bring significant improvements in graphics performance compared to the Adreno 660 in the Snapdragon 888 and 888+. Rumours also suggest the chip will feature a new X65 5G modem and is going to be built on a 4nm process. According to the tipster, the Xiaomi 12 will be the first phone to be powered by the Snapdragon 898 chipset. Motorola is also said to be planning to announce a Snapdragon 898-powered phone before the end of the year. Samsung's Galaxy S22 series is also expected to use the chipset, but only in a few markets such as the US and China. The international variants of the Galaxy S22 series phones are likely to be powered by the Exynos 2200. As per media reports, the Snapdragon 898 will probably be unveiled on November 30. When you go to 30x, the images start losing detail and are grainy. Realme is stepping into the premium smartphone segment to take on Samsung, Apple and others with its new offering

Smartphone maker <keyword id="2210217" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="oneplus" source="Orion">OnePlus</keyword> has officially announced the Pac-Man Edition of the <keyword id="12009978" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="nord-2" source="Orion">Nord 2</keyword>. According to the company, the smartphone will be sold in a single variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage for ₹37,999. Currently, there is no word yet as to when it will go on sale. The <keyword id="10865875" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="oneplus-nord-2" source="Orion">OnePlus Nord 2</keyword> x PAC-MAN Edition comes with games, challenges, and lots of exclusive PAC-MAN content throughout. The Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition bears the same specifications as the regular Nord 2 5G smartphone. The Pac-Man edition comes with a back that glows in the dark and will feature Pac-Man themes. The smartphone boots Oxygen OS 11.3 based on Android 11 out of the box. "With the OnePlus Nord 2 x PAC-MAN Edition, we have not just overhauled OxygenOS UI and filled it with nods to PAC-MAN. Samsung has already unveiled its 3nm prototype back in 2019, so a 2022 launch seems very likely. On the other hand, the 2nm chipsets are still 4 years away from launch. Samsung expects that it will take another 3-6 months for these chipsets to go into mass production, which means that the first smartphones powered by these chipsets will likely launch in 2026. This doesn’t mean that Samsung will continue to use 5nm until 3nm chipsets arrive – the company is expected to manufacture the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset on its 4nm fabrication process. But according to a report in <a href="https://www.vice.com/en/article/y3vz5k/booming-underground-market-bots-2fa-otp-paypal-amazon-bank-apple-venmo">The Vice</a>, hackers have deduced a way to steal these sensitive codes by using <keyword id="7142538" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="voice-bots" source="Orion">voice bots</keyword> to trick the users. The hackers can either login or make money transfers or perform other sensitive functions by using the 2FA or OTP verification codes that the users are tricked into revealing. These bots are made to sound like you are talking to an authentic customer care agent and then they ask you to enter the 2FA/OTP during the call. Once you enter it, the verification code reaches the hacker and they can now login to your account and perform sensitive transactions. The Vice in their report demonstrated one such instance where the user gets a call from PayPal’s fraud prevention system. According to the call, someone wanted to spend $58.82 by accessing the user’s PayPal account. Over the call, it said, “in order to <keyword id="12487304" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="secure-your-account" source="Orion">secure your account</keyword>, please enter the code we have sent your mobile device now.” Once the code was entered, it said “Thank you, your account has been secured and this request has been blocked.” Apart from these, the voice call also informed the users saying “Don’t worry if any payment has been charged to your account: we will refund it within 24 to 48 hours. Your reference ID is 1549926. You may now hang up.” The call was actually from a hacker who used the customisable bot to trick the user into giving their one-time codes for verification. Similarly, hackers can target your Apple Pay, PayPal, Amazon, Coinbase, and other accounts to steal money or cryptocurrencies. To hack into an account, one will need a username or email address or phone and password. This can be obtained from a previous data breach, and if the user has 2FA or OTP enabled, the hackers bring in voice bots to their use. Users also use these combinations of emails, phone numbers and names to determine whether the specific user has an Amazon or PayPal account before targeting them. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="How to stay secure" comment="subhead" text="How to stay secure">How to stay secure</cmsannotation> Users can stay secure by being aware of such attacks.
