Kathmandu, Cinema halls across Kathmandu on Friday stopped the screening of '<keyword id="9776044" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="adipurush" source="Orion">Adipurush</keyword>', a day after Mayor Balen Shah warned that no Indian movie will be allowed in the Nepal capital if the film based on the Hindu epic <keyword id="6363500" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="ramayana" source="Orion">Ramayana</keyword> does not correct the "mistake" about the birthplace of Sita. The <keyword id="17720608" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="nepal-film-union" source="Orion">Nepal Film Union</keyword> has urged all the cinema halls in Kathmandu to stop showing 'Adipurush' and urged theatres outside the capital to release it only after assessing the security situation. In a tweet on Thursday, the Mayor said that in 'Adipurush', it is mentioned that "Sita is the daughter of India". He added that until this mistake will not be corrected in India and Nepal, no Indian movie will be allowed to be shown within the Kathmandu metropolitan city limit. The film is written and directed by <keyword id="2236748" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="om-raut" source="Orion">Om Raut</keyword> and produced by T-Series and Retrophiles. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages, the film has courted controversy in India as well. In a statement, Nepal's QFX Cinemas said: "Keeping the security of our viewers, QFX is not going to show 'Adipurush'... We are waiting for the government's decision. As soon as this issue is resolved, we will issue another notice and apologise for the inconvenience to our viewers." Nepal's Censor Board also decided to hold back permission to the upcoming Indian epic mythological film, based on the Hindu epic "Ramayana", for the same reason. Sita was born in Nepal's Janakpur and Lord Rama came and married her, as per the Ramayana. Besides Mayor Balen Shah, some sister organisations of various political parties have also protested against the film and warned that they will not allow the screening until the filmmakers correct the mistakes regarding the birthplace of Sita. This is not the first time that Mayor Shah ratcheted up the nationalist planks. Mayor Shah on June 8 placed the map of Greater Nepal in his chamber to counter the Indian "Akhand Bharat" map placed in the new Parliament building. Kathmandu cinema halls stop screening of Adipurush over Sita birthplace issue

Global aviation IT firm The Societe Internationale de Telecommunications Aeronautiques (SITA) has completed the technical requisites for <keyword id="2573" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Air-India">Air India</keyword>’s system integration with that of <keyword id="137192" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Star-Alliance">Star Alliance</keyword>, including those concerning ticketing, e-commerce, departure control and revenue integrity. 
 
SITA also provided its Horizon Passenger Services System (PSS) suite of solutions for Air India to seamlessly integrate with the global airlines' grouping. 
 
The PSS suite consists of technological solutions for various purposes like integrating reservations, frequent flyer programmes etc. 
 
SITA CEO Francesco Violante said Air India's entry into the alliance was "achieved in record time" and Air India would "now be able to offer passengers a seamless travel experience across the Star Alliance network around the world."

SITA, a Swiss air transport technology company, predicts passengers checking into flights on smartphones, tablets and other devices is set to almost triple in the next two years. The Geneva-based conglomerate also predicts that passenger check-ins at traditional ticket counters will drop by 20%. <div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div></div></div> "Passengers typically want a stress-free trip and airlines are deploying more technology-based services to meet that need," said SITA in its annual <a href="http://www.sita.aero/globalassets/docs/surveys--reports/airline-it-trends-survey-2015.pdf">Airline IT Trends survey</a>. "In particular, passengers are switching to mobile apps and the web for check-in, which give passengers less stress and more convenience." No more is the one-size-fits-all service the best approach, airlines are learning. Mobile apps and other online services are not only cheaper than hiring and training employees, they allow for more personalization. <div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div></div></div> As of now, only 20% of airlines offer personalization opportunities, the survey says, but 82% of airlines surveyed are investing heavily in programs to improve personalization. Airlines are shedding services because they want passengers to take care of themselves

One of the biggest concerns for any airline passenger is arriving at their destination but their baggage does not. The good news is that increased digitization, automation and other smart baggage systems have over the past few years contributed to a significant drop in the number of mishandled bags globally. 
 
According to the 2016 SITA Baggage Report, baggage mishandling rates have plunged 65.3% between 2007 and 2015, saving the air transport industry around US$22.4 billion and increasing passenger confidence in airlines’ ability to delivery baggage on time. 
 
Given technology’s role in these achievements, it’s no wonder that investment in further baggage systems automation and processes remains high on the agenda for most airlines and airports. 
 
The challenge is to further reduce mishandled baggage rates over the next few years while passenger numbers globally are expected to double from today’s 3.3-billion passengers by the mid-2030s. 
 
Bag tracking 
 
The industry’s continued sharp focus on smarter baggage is imperative to further reducing baggage mishandling rates. A key industry priority is to keep track of passengers’ bags through all major stages of the journey – helping improve the travel experience, save money and keep passengers in the know. 
 Bag tracking is also a crucial focus area given the demands of <keyword id="64233" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="IATA">IATA</keyword>’s Resolution 753, which requires airlines keep tabs on every item of baggage from start to finish and to maintain an accurate inventory of baggage by monitoring the acquisition and delivery of baggage. The resolution will come into effect in June 2018. 
 
Parcel-like 
 
SITA’s new BagJourney will help airlines and airports track bags every step of the way as well as provide the possibility of sharing those updates with their passengers. 
 
In fact, it’s an innovative solution that enables passengers to track their bag like they would a parcel and is able to follow each bag from check-in to final delivery through multiple airports and airlines. 
 
SITA 2016 Passenger IT Trends Survey shows that 79% of passengers said they would definitely use a mobile bag notification service while two-thirds said they would use mobile to report missing baggage at the airport. 
 
With 95% of passengers carrying a smart mobile device when traveling, there’s now the huge potential for airlines and airports to provide them with real-time information about the status of their bags. It means that passengers’ are no longer waiting for this information to be provided by the airline and have more control over their baggage. 
 
Freed data 
 
BagJourney mines the 2.5 billion baggage information messages (BIMs) which SITA manages on behalf of the airlines and airports in its BagMessage message distribution service to provide a real-time status on each and every bag. More than 220 airports and 500 airlines around the world use BagMessage to exchange information on the location of passengers’ baggage. 
 
 
It’s also uniquely integrated with WorldTracer – the only truly global tracing and matching service of delayed bags. This allows a bag’s journey to continue to be tracked even if it’s mishandled. 
 
 
API power 
 
The new BagJourney service is delivered to the community through an application programming interface (API) via www.developer.aero. 
 
This allows airlines and airports to integrate it into to their existing systems quickly and easily, including services such as mobile updates which they might offer to passengers. 
 
Smarter baggage will continue to improve the travel experience and save money, with real-time bag tracking keeping passengers informed.

<div class="KonaFilter image-container float_right"><div class="image on-image"></div></div>For Christopher Ahlberg, predicting the future is as simple as typing a single word into a piece of software. For example, punching the word "protest" into the dashboard of his software product pulled up a real-time map of areas around the world where conversations about future protests were taking place. "Interesting," Ahlberg told me on the phone. "We get a very specific set of places in Nigeria where there are protests."Ahlberg is the CEO of Recorded Future, a company that makes software that he claims can create actionable data points about what is happening - or what is going to happen - in the world by analyzing all of the text on the open web.In this specific example, Ahlberg was able to predict where protests in Nigeria would pop up next by using his software to aggregate open calls for participation that protesters have already published on the web through blogs and other public sources. But it's not always as easy for Recorded Future to see what's going on in the world. Tech savvy hackers, for instance, don't publicly announce their actions in the same way, Ahlberg noted. Even so, his company is likely to be clued in. That's because Recorded Future doesn't just mine open forums for information: it tries to scan every part of the open web. Hackers frequently talk to each other on chat platforms known as IRCs - and Recorded Future is able to pick up those conversations too."8 billion data points, 600,000 sources," Ahlberg rattled off. "English, Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, and French. Thousands of sources each week; from the deepest underbelly all the way up to news," he explained.Recorded Future's software is programmed to constantly monitor these sources and relay data in real time. In short, if it's being written on the open web, Recorded Future will likely see it and index it.<h2 class="p1">Preventing future cyber attacks</h2>Recorded Future has been around since 2008, but it's been getting more attention in recent years. When the company first launched, it considered itself an intelligence platform for anyone trying to get an idea of what's going on in the world. It wanted to be a go-to automated intelligence platform for any operation big or small. Both Google and In-Q-Tel (the CIA's investment arm) <a href="http://www.wired.com/2010/07/exclusive-google-cia/">invested money into the company</a> in 2010. The company has since kept a relatively low profile, building out its service offerings based on its hallmark technology.In the early days, Recorded Future saw the most interest from the financial sector. Quant investors were able to use the platform's intel to make market predictions.But now, Recorded Future has morphed into more of a cybersecurity outfit."We started seeing about two years ago this area of cybersecurity exploding," Ahlberg said. Companies trying to get a handle on what cyber-criminals are aiming to do have been seeking out Recorded Future's technology. It's slowly becoming known as an automated cyber-attack platform.<div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div></div></div>At first glance, Recorded Future looks almost like a web analytics dashboard.One page shows all the known online attackers, what methods they use for attacking, and which geographical areas they are targeting. Another indexes all of the instances a specific threat has been mentioned. If a customer is trying to track a certain threat, it can set up email alerts so they can remain abreast of the situation. That's primarily why the global air transport technology company SITA uses Recorded Future. SITA provides the backend IT and communications technologies for nearly all aspect of air travel, and its customers consist of airlines, airports, and even governments. Big players in the airline industry are frequently facing cyber threats, so it needed a way to analyze potential attacks. Companies like SITA, whose partnerships are vast and with heavy-hitter aviation names, face cyber-attack issues everyday. For example, every year hackers perform an annual campaign against Israeli targets. Given that SITA's customers fly to the country, and many of its clients are based there, it's necessary to have up-to-date information about what precise hacks are happening.SITA has even used Recorded Future to monitor leaked user names and passwords of its customers.<h2 class="p1">Can it read everything?</h2>But with this technology comes potential for controversy surrounding privacy. This was exhibited earlier this year when a coding website asserted that Recorded Future <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/recorded-future-and-facebook-whats-going-on-2015-4">was even analyzing Facebook private messages</a>. The website, Bosnadev, had posted a link to a private link in a Facebook chat box. It then claimed that the link was opened by Recorded Future, despite it never posting the link to anything but Facebook. To Bosnadev, this meant that Recorded Future had access to private chat messages.It turns out that this thought-to-be private link had actually been posted online via a server log put on website Pastebin. While Recorded Future <a href="https://www.recordedfuture.com/facebook-chat-messages/">adamantly maintains</a> that it does not have access to private Facebook chat messages, the fact that it was able to access such an obscure link so systematically demonstrates the technology's capabilities.Privacy concerns aside, Recorded Future's software creates vast business opportunities for some. Ahlberg emphasized that his company's services shouldn't be pigeonholed to one specific use case - saying nearly any business with a stake in online intelligence could likely find a use for its online engines. For now, though, many cybersecurity firms are using Recorded Future to mine more robust data."Our customers are incredibly innovative," he said. Inside the company that can predict the future by analyzing every piece of information on the web

National carrier <keyword id="2573" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Air-India">Air India</keyword> on Friday reported that some information of its passengers has been compromised in a massive cyber data breach with its vendor SITA PSS. According to industry sources, the data breach has impacted other global airlines as well. Recently, systems of SITA PSS came under a cyber-security attack leading to personal <keyword id="6360618" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="data-leak">data leak</keyword> of certain passengers. The vendor is responsible for storing and processing of personal information of the passengers. In a statement on Friday, Air India said the incident has affected around 4,500,000 data subjects in the world. "The breach involved personal data registered between 26th August 2011 and 3rd February 2021, with details that included name, date of birth, contact information, passport information, ticket information, 'Star Alliance' and 'Air India' frequent flyer data (but no passwords data were affected) as well as credit cards data." "However, in respect of this last type of data, CVV or CVC numbers are not held by our data processor." The airline said it is investigating the data security incident, securing the compromised servers, engaging external specialists of data security incidents, and notifying and liaising with the credit card issuers. Furthermore, the airline said the data processor has ensured that no abnormal activity was observed after securing the compromised servers. "While we and our data processor continue to take remedial actions including but not limited to the above, we would also encourage passengers to change passwords wherever applicable to ensure safety of their personal data." "The protection of our customers' personal data is of highest importance to us and we deeply regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate continued support and trust of our passengers." Air India passengers' personal data leaked in a cyber attack does not include CVV number

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched the second leg of his campaign for Bihar assembly elections, raking up the <keyword id="6354931" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ayodhya">Ayodhya</keyword> issue and urging the people to defeat the opposition which had ushered in a "<keyword id="3362535" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="jungle-raj">jungle raj</keyword>" in the state and embezzled funds meant for development schemes. Invoking the imagery of Goddess Sita and her father Janaka, the king of Mithila of which this north Bihar town became the capital later on, Modi said those who used to taunt the BJP over the delay in construction of Ram temple were now forced to applause. "I am happy to be here, in the birth place of Mother Sita. Construction of temple at Ayodhya has also begun. Those siyasi log (political opponents) who used to taunt us with the question what is the date (for commencement of construction), have now been forced to clap in applause," Modi told a rally here. The prime minister, who shared the stage with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, lavished praise on the latter, calling him the "bhaavi mukhyamantri" (prospective CM) and crediting him with Bihar's economic turnaround. "The people of Bihar have made up their mind to inflict yet another defeat on those responsible for the 'jungle raj' where crime graph had soared to an extent that living a normal life became difficult for the common people, our mothers and sisters," Modi said in an obvious attack on the RJD-Congress combine, without mentioning either by name. "They committed financial irregularities in the name of waiving farm loans. They took bribes to give jobs. The NDA stands for development. The show has set off social media discussion, too.
