The apex court, in a unanimous judgement, allotted the land to a government trust which will oversee the construction of a Ram mandir on the disputed land. The Waqf board was allotted five acres of land at a prominent place in Ayodhya. <br /><br />Within the next three months, the centre will appoint board of trustees and the 2.77-acre complex will be handed over to the trust. <br /><br />Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the <keyword id="399476" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ayodhya-verdict">Ayodhya verdict</keyword> said that the verdict will reaffirm the independence, transparency and far-sightedness of the judiciary.<br /><br />Political and corporate leaders alike welcomed the decision.
