<ul><li><keyword id="99676" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shilpa-Shetty-Kundra">Shilpa Shetty Kundra</keyword>, who has been missing from the big screen for the past 13 years has become the face of yet another brand. </li><li>She has 13 brands in her kitty from varied categories like Food &amp; Beverages, Telecom, Skincare, FMCG, Chocolates, and more. </li><li>As Shilpa signs another brand, we try to decode what still makes the actor relevant and how she has become an example of breaking age-disparity in the industry. </li></ul>Shilpa Shetty Kundra, the 43-year-old Bollywood actress, has bagged yet another brand in her kitty. She is now the face of home decor brand, Stellar Homes USA and represents 13 brands in total. Shilpa was last seen on the silver screen in the 2007 film Apne but she never really left the limelight. She continued judging various TV reality shows, became an entrepreneur by starting her own fitness channel called The Shilpa Shetty app and invested in a start-up called Mamaearth. Shilpa has over 1.6 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, which covers fashion tips, her fitness regime and a cooking show. While on Instagram, she has gained more than 6 million followers in a short span of time. According to media reports, she has a net worth of $20 million. This year, her long sabbatical of 13 years will also come to an end as she will be seen in two movies -- Nikamma and Hungama 2. Brand Journey Shilpa was 16 and a part of the modelling world when an aerated drinks brand approached her. Today, she regrets falling for money and choosing shortcuts. Shilpa is now wary of the kind of brands she chooses to work with. She has walked out of the meeting rooms if she doesn’t resonate with the brand. “Earlier, I really didn't think about whether I suited the brand. It was only about whether I was getting paid enough to leverage my name. But in the last five years, there has been a change in my thought process. When people take you seriously as a brand or rather someone synonymous with health and fitness, you become more responsible. So if something doesn't resonate with my personality or something that I can't use at home for my family or me, I won't endorse it,” admits Shilpa. Before her big release lined up this year, Shilpa turned down a Rs 10 crore offer from an Ayurvedic Slimming Pill brand because she did not want youngsters, who look up to her, to fall for fad diets. “There's so many brands I have turned down, I can't sit down and list those,” she breaks into a chuckle. She says she would have bagged a lot more brands and made more money had she not been so fastidious. Pan Masala brands and Aerated Drinks are completely off her list and she says she wouldn’t consider endorsing them ‘for all the money in the world.’ Explaining her modus operandi of choosing deals, she says, “I'm very particular and there's a lot of due diligence that goes into the brands that I work with. And I really believe that there is no shortcut in life. If you were to tell people that by popping pills you will lose weight, I think people who actually work out the right way will start losing faith in what they're doing. And I just feel that though we stopped focusing on mental health, and we will be talking about prizes and losing weight, fitting into a certain size, I think mental health is equally important. And I can't endorse something that doesn't fall into line with my philosophy.” The secret behind her relevance in the industry It was during her post-pregnancy period that Shilpa was asked a lot of questions about her fitness regime on the internet. She joined social media to help people out and realised that the audiences’ love for her hasn’t changed. She used that to her advantage and started her own application. It is her penchant for fitness and strong social media following, that brands still find her relevant. “After all these years, I feel like I stayed relevant. Today, I'm doing two films after 13 years but people still know me, not only because of television, but also because I stand for propagating good health. I want to bring about an awareness and want to play the role of a catalyst. As actors, we are always looked up to, and we have the power of social media. I used that to start my own YouTube channel,” shares Shilpa. Now, Shilpa Shetty is in-between meetings, looking for a fundraiser for her application to expand her reach further. Experts Speak Ashutosh Harbola, CEO and Co-founder, Buzzoka thinks that Shilpa had a strong influence on the industry since she made her fortune in Big Brother; her brand image changed after that and IPL, he says, added a cherry on the cake. “Shilpa Shetty is an ever-blooming social media star and her constant touchpoint with her audience makes her relevant even when she doesn't have too much in her kitty. From a brand's perspective, it's the right fit. Since the social and digital-first audience is always on social media, their appetite for relevancy is much filled. Also, Shilpa has been testing a couple of other platforms too which is keeping her both busy and buzzed. We all saw her entry on TikTok and it's a perfect example of being in the news for the right reasons,” says he. “Post her marriage, she is amongst the rich kids of Instagram making the world drool on her cuteness and the lavish lifestyle,” adds Harbola. N Chandramouli, CEO, TRA Research, highlights how strong her social media currency is, which is one of the reasons why brands still love her. “It is not easy for an actor who has been out of an active acting career for over 10 years to continue to stay relevant. However, Shilpa Shetty has reinvented herself in many new avatars to do what she is good at. She is a fitness icon, TV reality show judge, fashionista, partner in a spa chain, has over 1.6 million subscribers on her Youtube food channel, 6 million followers on her Instagram, among other things. Guess that's more than enough to keep her relevant with new-age millennials and others,” says Chandramouli. Social Media and Brand Expert, Karthik Srinivasan thinks Shilpa’s relatability factor for millennials and Gen Y has worked in her favor. “Shilpa Shetty, I believe, appeals to and can be recognised by a whole lot of middle-aged and older women unlike an Ananya Panday or Alia Bhatt. That relatability is what perhaps works in her favor. Ditto for actors like Vidya Balan. To some extent, it's also a factor of a 40+ woman actor to continue to want attention, work and assignments. Some may choose to shun the limelight and live a more obscure life surrounded by people close to them, as a way to escape the excess attention of earlier times. Shilpa Shetty has been in the limelight long after her exiting the film industry, including her foray into owning teams and so on. So, modeling and films continue to help her position her brand,” explains Srinivasan. An inspiration for other actresses The Khans of Bollywood and actors like Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan, still continue to be the Top 10 celebrities. Senior actresses, on the other hand, struggle to find film projects. As they vanish from the limelight after they get married, brands stop approaching them. Shilpa is unhesitant to agree that she found her calling much later in her career arc and feels women are finally stepping up to turn the tables. “I found my calling very late but I guess better late than never. Also, times are changing. You see actresses are far more daring today. It's also a more egalitarian world now. Women are given far more opportunities. I think women today are willing to take risks. And yes, it's a different world. And I think that's the only thing that's constant - change,” says Shilpa. Srinivasan also thinks the situation is changing, thanks to actresses like Shilpa Shetty and Vidya Balan and script writers that are breaking the age stereotypes. “I think as an industry, Bollywood (and the regional film industries, in particular) have moved definitely away from age-limits for women actors. While there's always (and still) a demand for young women actors, there are scripts being written for older ages as well, who do not fit the conventional stereotypes of a leading woman in films,” says Srinivasan. He adds, “From a branding point of view, I was very pleasantly surprised to see Tapsee Pannu featured in a Horlicks ad where she was specifically called out as being 30+. Or a Kangana Ranaut playing a mother of a boy in Panga. This scenario was unheard of a few years ago when only men had the freedom to be called 30+, 40+ and still get away with conventional roles in films. 40+ Shilpa Shetty is a variant of the 30+ Tapsee and Kangana.” Chandramouli, on the other hand, feels the onus also lies on actresses. “Brands take endorsements from 53-year-old male actors endorsing colas, and 77-year-old males endorsing everything. When it comes to women celebrities, there are occasions when you will see someone like Madhuri Dixit, who is above 50 years get endorsements. But many don't get as lucky as her. And this age-related aberration is one of the strangest as many times when choosing actors playing an older role, directors tend to cast younger actors. To correct this is the responsibility of female actors as also it is of brands and advertising agencies. Many times due to the paucity of opportunities, women celebrities above 40 tend to start focusing on other areas of their interests in work and personal life. In a highly competitive world, they must continue to stay relevant in their interest areas, stay connected with audiences, and find new interests which find newer fans. Since all endorsements are a commercial arrangement, the fee of endorsement also matters, for the potential endorsers must be willing to adjust fees in line with market demand. For the brands and agencies, it is important to have greater acceptance, to try the different, reink campaigns with such potential endorsers.” While many actresses have come and vanished with time, Shilpa Shetty Kundra has never left the showbiz, setting an example for other female actors in the industry.

Here's a first-of-its-kind startup auctioning 'A Weekend Yoga Retreat with Shilpa Shetty'

The Indian Premier League (IPL) or popularly called ‘India ka tyohar’ has begun with the expected pomp and show. And with the <keyword id="2565794" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="IPL-8">IPL 8</keyword> on, many of us are cheering for our favourite teams before the idiot box. But while we enjoy this season, IPL also reminds us of the murky business that cricket has become. But has that deterred the game from being the nation’s favourite? 
 “Let’s not get carried away. Yes, some of the stuff is not right for the image of the game. But there has been controversy in sports since 1930s,” said <keyword id="201892" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ravi-Krishnan">Ravi Krishnan</keyword>, the former managing director of IMG South Asia, who went on to become the co-founder and CEO of Stepathalon, a global wellness company. 
 
Substantiating his point, he asserted that the scam has hardly an impact on the game’s image. “Now when you say marred, there are more people, more viewership and more money in the game. So, where is the mar here?” averred Krishnan. 
 
Krishnan reaffirmed that the IPL controversy that happened in 2013, did not impact the sport enthusiast. He clarified that people still love the game and everything it stands for. “It brings more people to the game and the game is on an upward trajectory. I agree match-fixing is not good for the game but at present, the game is bigger than anything else,” he stated. 
 It is worth noting that in 2013, IPL was embroiled in a controversy when three players from Rajasthan Royals- <keyword id="13418" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="S-Sreesanth">S Sreesanth</keyword>, <keyword id="219674" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ankeet-Chavan">Ankeet Chavan</keyword> and <keyword id="1050075" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ajit-Chandila">Ajit Chandila</keyword>, were arrested for spot fixing. Later, Gurunath Meiyappan, the team principal of Chennai SuperKings was also arrested on charges of betting. <keyword id="6358615" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Shilpa-Shetty">Shilpa Shetty</keyword>’s husband and co-owner of <keyword id="13808" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rajasthan-Royal">Rajasthan Royal</keyword>, Raj Kundra too confessed to be involved in betting.

The other two releases on Friday the 28th included <keyword id="2179863" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Underworld-action-flick">underworld action flick</keyword> <keyword id="2025912" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Dishkiyaoon">Dishkiyaoon</keyword> and the comedy movie <keyword id="1669247" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="O-Teri">O Teri</keyword>. Although the themes and the genres vary widely, there’s one thing in common about these Bollywood flicks – all three had a <keyword id="2179866" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Poor-opening-day">poor opening day</keyword> at home, with low occupancies ranging from 5-10%. And the <keyword id="25892" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="box-office">box office</keyword> numbers did not look up even after Day 5. 
 Directed by debutant <keyword id="2071198" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Syed-Ahmad-Afzal">Syed Ahmad Afzal</keyword>, Youngistaan is still the best as far as content and <keyword id="1996031" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Box-office-performance">box office performance</keyword> go. The movie netted Rs 3.79 crore at the <keyword id="827271" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Domestic-Box-Office">domestic box office</keyword> during the opening weekend while Dishkiyaoon netted Rs 3.45 crore in the first three days and O Teri just managed to nett Rs 2.45 crore, according to trade figures. 
 
Youngistaan, however, saw a sharp fall in revenues on the crucial Day 4 (Monday, March 31), netting around Rs 75 lakh, while Day 5 (April 1) collections were estimated to be a little over Rs 50 lakh, according to some industry sources. Going by the current trend, the movie may turn out to be a huge flop as it has been made on a budget of Rs 22-23 crore and opened across 1,000 theatres in India. 
 
The storyline of Youngistaan is intriguing enough, though. Here, you have a young <keyword id="1043723" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Game-developer">game developer</keyword> <keyword id="2179870" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Abhimanyu-Kaul">Abhimanyu Kaul</keyword> (Jackky Bhagnani) living in <keyword id="6355311" type="COUNTRY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Japan">Japan</keyword> with his girlfriend <keyword id="2179850" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Anwita-Chauhan">Anwita Chauhan</keyword> (Neha Sharma). But things turn topsy-turvy when Dad <keyword id="2179873" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Dashrath-Kaul">Dashrath Kaul</keyword> (he is also the <keyword id="71" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Prime-Minister">prime minister</keyword> of India) suddenly dies and Abhimanyu is forced to step into his shoes. The rest could have been mayhem, but the <keyword id="2179851" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="young-PM">young PM</keyword> seems to be handling it all (except his love life) with incredible efficiency. We do believe that is the weakest part of the movie – the incredible ease of things. However, one can’t help admiring Farooque Sheikh who handholds the <keyword id="2179854" type="POSITION" weightage="100" keywordseo="novice-politician">novice politician</keyword> throughout the twists and turns. It is definitely worth a watch but tends to get too predictable at the end. As Shubha Shetty-Saha of Mid-Day says, “While the film has a very interesting premise, it is totally diluted by lazy scriptwriting and sketchy direction.” 
 
 
 
As for Dishkiyaoon, starring the likes of <keyword id="9271" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sunny-Deol">Sunny Deol</keyword>, <keyword id="13128" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Harman-Baweja">Harman Baweja</keyword> and newcomer <keyword id="322563" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Ayesha-Khanna">Ayesha Khanna</keyword>, the first Monday collections were equally dismal and stood in the range of Rs 70 lakh, according to Koimoi (Day 5 collections are not available yet). Directed by Sanamjit Singh Talwar, this one was made on an all-inclusive budget of Rs 35 crore and released across 1,500 screens all over India. Interestingly, <keyword id="6358615" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shilpa-Shetty">Shilpa Shetty</keyword> Kundra and <keyword id="217320" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sunil-Lulla">Sunil Lulla</keyword> are the producers here but in spite of the big names all around, the action flick has failed to gain much traction. And not without reasons. The movie could have portrayed the rise of the young aspirant, <keyword id="2179853" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Viki-Kartoos">Viki Kartoos</keyword> (Harman Baweja), to ‘gangsterhood’ with a lot more depth and understanding. Instead, we simply get some stereotype script, some superb action scenes and nothing more. 
 
Finally, there is the Umesh ​B​isht-directed comedy flick O Teri, narrated by <keyword id="6354583" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Salman-Khan">Salman Khan</keyword>. This one, too, has opened across 1,000 screens, but totally fails to impress (weekday numbers are yet to come in). New Delhi, Apr 14 () Donation platform GiveIndia on Tuesday said it has launched the 'India COVID Response Fund' (ICRF) with initial donations worth Rs 75 crore to support the on-ground COVID relief efforts being carried out by its network of verified non-profits.Some of the early donors to the fund include the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation, Google.org, HSBC India, Omidyar Network India, UBS Optimus Foundation, Marico, Uber India (through Uber Care driver fund), Binny Bansal and A.T.E. Chandra Foundation.The fund will use a data-backed approach to identify the most critical areas of intervention and scale the relief efforts pan India, a statement said.The donation platform is aiming at creation of a larger corpus that can support up to 10 million people nationally, it added."Since we started fundraising for COVID relief work on March 22, we have received donations from more than 2 lakh people globally, raised Rs 75 crores, partnered with over 40 organisations, onboarded more than 100 non-profits, and these initial efforts will impact one million people," GiveIndia Director and ICRF Advisor Govind Iyer said.However, the on-ground requirement is much larger and the fund is an open platform for all to come together and support the most critical need of the hour, he added.Other partners in the collective are CSIP (Centre for Social Impact and Philanthropy) from Ashoka University, Bridgespan, Indiaspora, Sattva, Dasra and IIFL Wealth, the statement said.An expert advisory group has been set up to guide fundraise and allocations, including Dr Devi Shetty, (Chairman, Narayana Health), Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (Chairman, Biocon), Sanjiv Mehta (Chairman, HUL), Surendra Rosha (CEO, HSBC India), Binny Bansal (Co-founder, Flipkart), Manoj Kohli (Country Head, Softbank) and Amitabh Chaudhry (CEO, Axis Bank).Shilpa Kumar (Investment Partner, Omidyar Network India), Ingrid Srinath (Director, CSIP, Ashoka University), Arun Seth (former Chairman-BT), Amita Chauhan (Chairperson, SVP Mumbai), Shailesh Haribhakti (CA), Haigreve Khaitan (Managing Partner, Khaitan &amp; Co), V Vaidyanathan (MD &amp; CEO, IDFC First Bank), Neeraj Aggarwal (Head APAC, BCG) and Karan Bhagat (MD &amp; CEO, IIFL Wealth) are also part of the effort."ICRF will focus on preventing the spread of the coronavirus, providing humanitarian aid, supporting our health workers and enabling the COVID-hit families to rebuild their livelihoods. For some time now, Indian investors have been gravitating towards the luxurious setting of Dubai to invest in its financially rewarding real estate sector. 
 
Among these investors is a group of people who are worshipped by fans in India and abroad for their onscreen performances and off-screen antics. They are none other than Bollywood stars who have awed audiences with their stellar performances over the years and amassed the kind of wealth that mere humans can only dream of. 
 
After carving out successful film careers for themselves and cementing their position as top stars in the film industry, these actors are now putting their money where it matters. 
 
A common perception about rich people is that when they want to invest their money, they either purchase an expensive car, or a high-end property in a certain corner of the world. For some of the most famous Bollywood stars, Dubai is that corner of the world where properties offer them the best rates and rental yields anywhere in the world. 
 
According to leading UAE portal <a href="https://www.bayut.com/">Bayut.com</a>, average apartment rental yields in Dubai remained close to 5.5% in February 2016, although they went as high as 7.6% for studio apartments, the most popular apartment renting category. These lucrative yields have been the reason thousands of investors converge in Dubai each year, and Indian celebrities couldn’t be far behind, especially when Indian urban centers are become expensive by the day. 
 
Smart move 
 
Catching a whiff of the situation, real estate developers in Dubai have turned towards Indian sports stars and Bollywood celebrities to help them lure in wealthy Indian expatriates to invest in their development projects. The stars also make investments in the UAE, particularly Dubai, in a bid to add value to their capital while also acting as brand ambassadors for different developers. 
 
Keeping Indian investor culture alive, the latest addition to the long list of Bollywood stars who have purchased some of the finest properties in the emirate is Anil Kapoor, from the Slumdog Millionaire. 
 
Kapoor recently purchased a two-bed apartment in Danube Properties’ Ritz project in Al Furjan. The actor said this his decision was influenced by good property prices in Dubai which provide heartening yields. 
 
According to statistics revealed by Dubai Land Department, the total number of investments in the emirate’s realty sector in 2015 amounted to AED 135 billion. Out of this, around AED 74 billion investments were made by non-Arab investors. Sitting on top of this list were Indians who made transactions worth AED 20 billion in the emirate’s realty sector. 
 
Before Kapoor, other Bollywood stars had landed sought after properties in posh localities of Dubai. Sharukh Khan’s K-93 villa is located at the Al Khasab Cove of the Palm Jumeirah. The two-levels of development are spread over 8,500 square feet and 14,000 square feet plots respectively and houses all modern living facilities available at present. 
 
Similarly, Bollywood power couple Abhishek and Aiswarya Bachchan, the torch-bearers of the powerful Bachchan family of Bollywood, bought a villa in Sanctuary Falls, Jumeirah Golf Estates. The villa comes with landscaped gardens and a resort style swimming pool and its price is thought to be worth somewhere between AED 15 to 35 million. 
 Moreover, joining these famous faces from the world of celluloid is Bollywood star of yesteryears, namely Shilpa Shetty. Until recently she owned a two-bedroom apartment in the Burj Khalifa, which she later sold out. Nonetheless, Shetty still endorses <keyword id="3360361" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="property-investments-in-dubai">property investments in Dubai</keyword> in the capacity of a brand ambassador for renowned developers. 
 
After coming of age, real estate developers in Dubai were quick to realise the importance of attaching recognizable names with their brand, knowing well that a famous resident in their community will attract more investors to their projects, thus giving a boost to the emirate’s realty sector. To target investors in the South Asian market, Bollywood stars have proven to be the natural choice for most developers based in Dubai. 
 
Looking at the present situation, it is unlikely that the culture of Bollywood investments in Dubai will discontinue in the future since stars now realise that they can live quality luxurious life at a fraction of the cost of most Indian cities. Also, keeping in mind the flight time of two-and-a-half hours from Mumbai to Dubai, Bollywood stars have the added option to head out to the emirate over the weekend to lounge at their coveted properties, unwind from their hectic film shooting schedule and bask in the warmth of their savvy investments.

Seeking a double digit growth this year, <keyword id="45964" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Rolls-Royce">Rolls Royce</keyword> plans to attract women and younger buyers as these are its hot customers right now who are boosting its sales. Two factors, with cars starting at around Rs 3 crore and going up to Rs 6 crore depending on the level of customisation, only those with serious spending money can afford a Rolls and the growth in the number of female ultra-high net worth individuals is expected to exceed that of males, fuelled by entrepreneurship, albeit on a smaller base, are working behind its sales. 
 "This expected growth of affluent self-made women is very encouraging," said <keyword id="85936" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Paul-Harris">Paul Harris</keyword>, region director, Asia Pacific for Rolls Royce. "Buyers now are younger. I would say female interest has doubled, female ownership of our modern products has significantly increased." 
 Film star <keyword id="1655" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Priyanka-Chopra">Priyanka Chopra</keyword> bought a Rolls last year, according to industry sources. 
 
"I like the design, which I feel is a marvel that transcends time," Gupta told ET recently. "Every inch of the car is an epitome of superior craftsmanship. The design pays homage to the classical models, but is still contemporary. The Ghost starts silently, and stays silent even when it gathers speed. I find its power of silence remarkable," said entrepreneur Paras Gupta, 22, a director at pre-school chain Mother's Pride, who recently took delivery of a Rolls Royce Ghost Series 2 in Delhi. 
 
 
Moreover, Rolls Royce will be organising an exclusive women's event in Mumbai this year, said Harris. The events will revolve around the fashion and bridal arenas — no men will be allowed, not even Harris. 
 
He also pointed out that the seven members Asia marketing team is all women. Additionally, the company's Bespoke Design Team at the Goodwood headquarters in the UK has textile design experts Cherica Haye and Michelle Lusby who are responsible for designing exterior paint and leather colours as well as interior textures. In India, the dealership in Chennai is headed by a woman and the company intends to hire a significant female workforce at its sales outlets going ahead. 
 
"We need to adapt and make sure that there are enough women working at our dealerships, so we would be hiring more to cater to future need," Harris said. Besides this, the company is trying to make its communication more suited to a youthful audience rather than those of an older generation, he said. It collaborated with New York's <keyword id="212569" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="Pratt-Institute">Pratt Institute</keyword>, known for its architecture, interior design and industrial design programmes, on the 'Inspired by Fashion' version of the Wraith. The launch event in New York in March 2015 also featured three women fashion leaders discussing change in the fashion industry. 
 
Apart from the Wraith cited above, the Phantom Limelight has also been designed to appeal to women. The Limelight, of which only 25 have been made, features a women's pannier, or storage area, that can be personalised. 
 
Super sports carmaker Lamborghini is also catering to this trend. When it comes to choosing among sports cars, women tip the scales, according to internal research. Globally, celebrity Lamborghini owners include Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and model Deana Uppal. 
This is a reflection of women wanting to drive the powerful machines that were once the preserve of men, said Pavan Shetty, head of operations at Lamborghini India. 
 
"The number of women who own Lamborghinis today and the ones who share the cars with their husbands is increasing," he said. "We intend to seriously increase our engagement with women prospects and would like to see more women owning our cars." Harris, who declined to mention a target for sales this year, was asked if 100 cars a year would be possible. 
 
"That number is still the market we see as the potential, with the product lines that are coming in and as long as the rest of the platform remains same," he said. "I think it is possible. Absolutely." He also sees forthcoming models as widening the company's appeal. One is the Dawn, which will be launched globally this year and is likely to reach India by 2016. The Cullinan, the company's first SUV, is expected to be launched in three years or so. 
 All alike agree that catering to women’s likes is the key to its growth. The market for super <keyword id="6376889" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="luxury-cars">luxury cars</keyword> such as Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini and Ferrari, priced at Rs 2 crore to Rs 6 crore, posted a decline of 15% to 110-115 units due to sluggish macro-economic factors. 
 
Last year, Rolls Royce sold 4,000 cars worldwide — the fifth record year in a row. But only 40 of those cars were sold in India, down from 91 in 2011. In the luxury auto trade, the marque has unbeatable cachet but the BMW-owned Rolls Royce needs to rebuild sales in the country.
