<ul><li>About 200 existing and former employees will be eligible to participate in the ESOP buyback plan.</li><li><keyword id="3358959" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="ShareChat">ShareChat</keyword> has updated its ESOP exercise price, which will allow the employees to buy each share at ₹1.</li><li>The company entered the unicorn club in April 2021, after raising $500 million at a valuation of $2.1 billion.</li></ul>Mohalla Tech, the parent company of vernacular social media platform ShareChat and short video app Moj, has announced its first employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) buyback programme worth $19.1 million (₹140 crores at current prices). Nearly 200 existing and former employees with vested options will be eligible to participate in the process. The company also announced that it has revised its existing vesting schedule. Under this, qualified employees will be allowed to vest 25% of ESOPs in the first year, followed by 8.25% every quarter. In case any employee leaves the organisation, the individual can still keep all the vested options and continues to enjoy the related benefits. Further, it has revised its ESOP exercise price from ₹1551 to ₹1, meaning that eligible employees can buy each share at ₹1. The firm’s chief executive officer (CEO) and cofounder Ankush Sachdeva attributed the success of ShareChat and Moj to the employees that have been working in the company for years. “We are presently witnessing an exciting growth journey and following an ambitious plan. Therefore, we have aligned our ESOP policy accordingly to reward our people who will be instrumental in paving the way for the next level of growth,” he added. The announcement comes only two months after ShareChat raised<a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/business/startups/news/sharechat-is-2021-9th-unicorn-as-it-raises-over-500-million-from-tiger-global-snap-and-twitter/articleshow/81964106.cms"> $500 million</a> at a valuation of $2.1 billion. The Series E investment was led by Lightspeed Ventures and Tiger Global, along with the participation from Snap Inc, Twitter and India Quotient. Overall, the company has raised about $824.8 million since its inception in 2015. ShareChat has also acquired five businesses over the years. This includes Clip App, Elanic, Circles Internet, Memer and HPF Films. Four of these acquisitions were announced in 2020 to enhance the platform’s content offerings. The company seems to have witnessed an exponential growth in 2020, due to growing digital adoption during the pandemic and the ban on Chinese apps like TikTok. The company claims to have recorded a <a href="https://inc42.com/buzz/sharechats-monthly-user-base-reaches-160-mn-riding-on-tier-i-growth/">166% spike</a> in its monthly active users base during the pandemic from 60 million in March 2020 to 160 million in November 2020. Moj, Sharechat’s <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/business/startups/news/sharechat-moj-will-air-exclusive-content-from-bigg-boss/articleshow/79425405.cms">youngest offering</a>, has garnered over 120 million monthly active users within a year of its launch. Sharechat employees will make $19 million out of the latest ESOP plan, as growth spikes in the absence of TikTok

All this happened after Yes Bank filed an application before the NCLT to initiate a corporate insolvency resolution process (CIRP) against Zee Learn because the firm failed to repay its debt. Zee Learn informed the BSE that it has received a notice from NCLT over YES Bank's petition and is in the process of compiling information to verify the facts claimed by the bank. Yes Bank allegedly claimed that the total amount in default with respect to the financial facility is ₹468 crore. Zee Learn tumbles 20% as Yes Bank drags the firm into insolvency proceedings

This is the highest Nykaa has ever spent on its marketing activities. An investment banker, on the condition of anonymity, added that the Nykaa’s IPO is one of the major reasons why the company’s expenses went up in the July to September quarter. Since the company was doing an IPO this year, they had to reach out to the sort of audience that would generally not consume their products. “I may be a user of Nykaa, but my parents may be the one investing [in the stock market]. To reach them, Nykaa would have to pay 2X-3x of that cost per click to achieve that engagement. This is not a marketing strategy, it’s to ensure that their IPO gets subscribed” they added. The cost of selling its IPO has eroded nearly all of Nykaa's profit

banking shares rally in the last three months? The winds were already on the uptake with not enough shares of HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank for foreign investors to pick up back in August. The more recent rally Over the last two days, one announcement has overshadowed all others — the RBI’s new rules for how private sector banks can be owned. While there are <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/finance/banks/news/former-rbi-governor-raghuram-rajan-and-viral-acharya-believe-its-a-bad-idea-to-allows-companies-to-own-banks/articleshow/79370513.cms">varying opinions</a> on whether or not large companies and NBFCs should be allowed to own banks, one thing most seem to agree on is that increasing the cap for promoters’ stake from 15% to 26% is a good move. IndusInd Bank’s share price rallied by more than 4% yesterday and opened on high in trade this morning as well. The promoters of the Bank, the Hinduja Group, had expressed its interest to pump in more money. And, if the RBI’s proposed change is accepted, it would be fresh capital infusion for the private sector bank. Uncertainty over what lies ahead The stock market’s rally may paint a rosy picture, but analysts believe that the worst is yet to come. Once the Supreme Court announces its final verdict, the stay on accounts being declared NPA will end and the true situation will reveal itself. The time is also ticking against borrowers who may have dipped into their savings to make payments as the unemployment rate continues to rise. Meanwhile, a storm may be approaching with a second wave of COVID-19 likely to hit the country in winter. I have spent almost a week with the Realme 9 Speed Edition and here’s what I found out. Price and availability Realme 9 Speed Edition starts at a price of ₹19,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. There is another high-end variant that is priced at ₹22,999 and packs in 8GB of RAM and similar storage. It is available on Flipkart and Realme’s own D2C website. Design and build quality At 199 grams, there is a certain heft to the Realme 9 Speed Edition that I felt after taking the phone out of the box for the first time. That being said the in-hand feel was quite satisfactory and holding it was not a difficult task at least for someone with relatively bigger hands. But if you are someone with small hands, then you might take some time to adjust for comfortable one-handed usage. <div type="image" title="DSC_0023_1200x900" msid="90150305" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Realme 9 Speed Edition sports a polycarbonate back. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The variant with me is in a starry glow colourway which is a combination of blue and pink depending on the angle you are looking from. The matte finish gives it a premium look. The rest of the physical characteristics are what we see on classic Realme mid-rangers. There are volume rockers with satisfactory build quality, a power lock and unlock button incorporating the fingerprint sensor, which is very snappy, and a SIM card slot. The SIM card slot also has space for a microSD card (upto 1TB), alongside two SIM cards. <div type="image" title="DSC_0037_1200x900" msid="90150383" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Realme 9 Speed Edition has a bottom firing loud speaker, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> There is a camera bump on the back that houses three cameras along with an LED flash. You also get a prominent feature on the Realme 9 Speed Edition which has become endangered lately, a 3.5mm audio jack. This is a welcome feature at a time when the audio jack has been disappearing from smartphones at an alarming rate. <div type="image" title="DSC_0038_1200x900" msid="90150841" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Realme 9 Speed Edition runs on Android 11. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> Software Experience– bloatware alert Quickly touching upon the software, the Realme 9-Speed Edition runs on Android 11 with Realme UI skin out of the box. My initial experience with the smartphone was smooth and fairly responsive. Do note, that this was a brand new unit, which is expected to feel fast and responsive, but usually, these phones tend to get slower with extensive usage. As I used the phone longer, the amount of bloatware stuck out like a sore thumb. Mixed between Google and Realme’s proprietary apps, there are some bad apples, like MX TakaTak and Josh, an image editing app Soloop, and even ShareChat. Thankfully all of the above can be uninstalled, but booting up the device and seeing them first hand was a turn-off for me. Also, I am still adjusting to ads. spamming my notifications. After getting rid of them, the actual user experience is intuitive, with plenty of options to customize including useful widgets to add intuitiveness to the experience, and the usual themes and fonts. Display – bright and smooth This is my first time using a Realme device at a stretch and the screen quality has amazed me. The Realme 9 Speed Edition features a 6.6-inch LCD display with a punch-hole notch. The display is adequately bright and produces vivid colours, which makes it a good device to watch content on. Even though it uses an LCD panel, the black levels are fairly good, having watched Zack Snyder’s Justice League on it. The maximum refresh rate on the Realme 9 Speed Edition is 144Hz. Be it browsing on the internet or playing video games, the experience is buttery smooth, as expected. Complimenting the display is a bottom-firing loudspeaker, which produces high levels of volume but underwhelms in terms of details. Also, if you use the phone in landscape mode, your palm tends to cover the speaker blocking the sound which is annoying for a mono loudspeaker. Performance Realme 9 Speed Edition is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset. In my four days of usage so far, the phone stands out with its smooth and fast performance. It boots up in a jiffy, with zero lags, and handles heavy games like Battlegrounds Mobile India smoothly, even at Ultra HD settings. <div type="image" title="IMG_1348_1200x900" msid="90151790" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Realme 9 Speed Edition runs BGMI on UHD settings. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> My review unit has 8GB RAM which is ample to hold applications in memory for longer periods of time. Rarely did the phone miss a beat and I would usually jump straight to the point where I left off in a particular app. Internal storage is 128GB which should be sufficient for most users. Battery life and management is where the Realme 9 Speed Edition should get your attention. Packing in a decent 5,000mAh cell, I had to charge the smartphone once in two days. It is worth noting that your mileage in this regard might vary based on your usage patterns. This is incredible, given that the screen refresh rate and audio profiles were maxed out. When I had to put it on charge, the 30W Dart Charge fast charging came in handy, with the Realme 9 Speed Edition going from 0 to 100% in about 50 minutes. Now, it is a 5G smartphone but I can’t test that performance just yet because of the absence of infrastructure. What I can tell you is that on 4G LTE the performance was quite satisfactory, I used it with my Vi sim and there were no call drops. Data connectivity was also stable and 4G internet speeds were decent. Yet again, it is worth noting that your mileage may vary based on network conditions in your area. <div type="image" title="DSC_0029_1200x900" msid="90150684" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Realme 9 Speed Edition has a triple rear camera set-up. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> Camera performance Realme 9 Speed Edition features a triple camera array, housed in the camera island on the back. The primary camera is a 48MP sensor which is snappy to click pictures but the end results are not very pleasing. The colour tones do not look natural, and the pictures have a milk tint to them. The AI retouching does help, but the execution is not perfect yet, and it’s a little obvious that the picture has been enhanced post-capture. <div type="image" title="IMG20220310111733_1200x900" msid="90150481" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Realme 9 Speed Edition features a 48MP primary camera. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>Then there is a dedicated 2MP monochrome portrait lens, which at first sounds like marketing lingo, but the results are good and worthy of your Instagram feed. <div type="image" title="IMG20220310125331_1200x900" msid="90150501" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Ultra-Wide angle shot from Realme 9 Speed Edition. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>The 2MP macro sensor produces rich images in perfect lighting conditions, but I won't suggest keeping your hopes high with this one either. <div type="image" title="IMG20220311113447_1200x900" msid="90150532" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Realme 9 Speed Edition portrait selfie. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The front camera is a 16MP shooter which performs decently by itself. But it's with AI retouching that things get interesting. The AI beauty selfie feature lets you fiddle around with everything on your face. You can change the size of your nose, eyes, and cheeks, and of course, the classic option to change your skin tone. It’s like giving yourself an AI plastic surgery. Maybe some users will find it amusing, I am not a big fan. After that experience, it’s the video mode that surprised me. With electronic image stabilization (EIS) enabled, you can document whatever is in front of the sensor without losing the meaning. Audio is also crisp and goes well with the visual outcome. There are classic features onboard as well like dual video mode which might come in handy. Verdict The Realme 9 Speed Edition has the potential to stand out and carve its own name in the mid-range smartphone category. It seems like a safe bet for buyers looking for powerful performance without shelling premium. To be more specific, gamers and aggressive users don’t mind compromising on the camera. In its price bracket of under ₹20,000, we only have a handful of choices from Xiaomi and Samsung both of which are now repeating the same recipe with multiple devices. In that situation, Realme 9 Speed Edition can be considered a value choice liberating the buyers from the obvious. But if you need an overall package with a better camera, display and can do with decent performance, you can explore other options like the Samsung A52 5G, Redmi Note 11T or Nord CE 2 5G. Post listing, the market capitalisation of the company stood at ₹16,688 crore, according to BSE data. The shares of Aptus Value Housing were trading at ₹342, lower by 3% at 10.01 a.m., on August 24. However, the grey market had indicated a premium of ₹13-15 on its issue price on the issue price. The IPO ⁠— open between August 10 and August 12 ⁠— saw good demand from investors. It was subscribed 17.20 times on the last day of the bidding. The Chennai-based retail-focused housing finance company primarily serves low and middle-income self-employed customers in the rural and semi-urban markets of India. The company was looking to raise ₹2,780 crore through the public offering, out of which ₹500 crore is to be fresh issue and offer for sale up ₹2,280 crores from existing shareholders. Analysts expected the stock to open with a tepid listing but recommend holding the stock for a long term. “We had given a SUBSCRIBE rating to the IPO from a long term perspective and expect the company to do well in the long run given consistent strong financial performance, industry leading return ratios and good asset quality. Given the recent volatility in the markets there is a likelihood of a tepid listing for the stock tomorrow,” said Jyoti Roy, deputy vice president, equity strategist at Angel Broking. The display is protected by AGC Dragontrail Star 2 glass. The display comes with HDR10+ support and offers good visuals. The high peak brightness ensures good visibility, even in direct sunlight. The sleek bezels offer a distraction-free experience. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Software and performance" comment="subhead" text="Software and performance">Software and performance</cmsannotation> The Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ runs on Android 13 out of the box with the company’s ColorOS 13.1 on top. The device will receive three years of Android updates and four years of security updates. Those familiar with ColorOS will know that it is a highly customizable version of Android. It adds a lot of features and allows you to customise the device as per your preference. You may expect the device to be bloatware-free after paying a premium price but the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ disappoints in this aspect. The device comes pre-installed with applications such as Tiki, ShareChat, Snapchat, Moj, Dream11 and more. <div type="image" title="Software" msid="101687663" hostid="261" sizebytes="64858" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Bloatware on the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> In addition to this, you also get a “recommended applications” screen while setting up the phone. The device also has the “Hot Apps” and “Hot Games” folders, which are again filled with recommended applications for you to install. Coming to the performance, the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ is equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset coupled with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The powerful chipset, coupled with ample RAM and storage allows the device to easily multitask. I tried popular titles such as Battlegrounds Mobile India and Call of Duty: Mobile on the smartphone. The device offers a good gaming experience, even with Full HD graphics and I did not notice any stuttering or lags. It is powered by a 4,700mAh battery coupled with 100W fast charging support. The company has claimed that the device can be fully charged in 27 minutes, allowing you to quickly power up the smartphone. The images captured using the 50MP primary sensor turned out well, capturing good details and in daylight conditions. At the same time, it has its fair share of issues, such as the presence of bloatware on the smartphone. Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ review: A camera-centric smartphone at a premium

<ul><li>India’s hotel industry is headed for a slow recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, it is also poised to be a major contributor to <keyword id="977682" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="online-travel">online travel</keyword>’s doubling growth over the next five years. </li><li>A Goldman Sachs report pegs hotels to be the fastest growing segment within the sector with a CAGR (compounded annual growth rate) of 20%.</li><li>Even with the hopeful outlook, hoteliers will have to be patient as the recovery is expected to be slow in the near-term.</li></ul>The battered Indian hospitality industry can make room for growth over the next five years, if they survive the low phase during the pandemic and the key to survival is a robust digital strategy. India’s millions of hotel rooms will have to opt for a digital transformation. Even though the situation looks bleak, Goldman Sachs believes that ‘all hope is not lost’ for hotels in the online space. The report dated July 2020 says that the online travel industry in India is expected to double in the next five years. <div type="image" title="travel." msid="77670730" hostid="261"></div> And hotels will be the fastest-growing segment within the sector with a CAGR (compounded annual growth rate) of 20%. “We estimate hotels alone will contribute c.47% of the online travel revenue pool in India by FY25 (36% in FY20), making it the key battleground within the space,” said the report. Adapting technology and joining branded hotel chains will be key to survival India’s current online penetration is one of the lowest in the world at just 22%, according to the report. Out of the 2 million rooms accounted for hotel rooms in India, only over 140,000 are affiliated with hotel chains. Long-term growth will be driven by budget hotels falling under the unorganized category, who are deeper in the Indian market and can be brought online, believe analysts at Goldman Sachs. “These last few months have proved that branded hotels are and will continue to be the safest environment even in the worst pandemic. Along with safety, hotel brands that figure out how to offer meaningful experiences will lead the way,” said Ankur Gupta, Managing Partner &amp; Head of India Real Estate, Brookfield Asset Management in a report by JLL. All hope is not lost While hotel chains like <keyword id="74790" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Lemon-Tree">Lemon Tree</keyword>, Indian Hotels Company, which is a subsidiary of Tata Group, EIH which runs Oberoi and Trident, and hospitality unicorn <keyword id="2808667" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="OYO">OYO</keyword> are all set to benefit from it, the biggest beneficiary could be <keyword id="54613" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="makemytrip">MakeMyTrip</keyword> which currently accounts for 50% of the online hotel aggregator market. For the first three months of the year, MakeMyTrip had reported a 15.9% fall in adjusted revenue to $137.2 million. The NASDAQ-listed company also posted an adjusted operating loss of $10.3 million. MakeMyTrip, which is set to announce its earnings results today, had said during the last earnings call that the current quarter might see its losses ballooning to over $20 billion, but over the next few quarters they will bring down the loss to the $10 million range before targeting breakeven. Recovery will be slow The Hotels Association of India recently requested the <a href="http://bwhotelier.businessworld.in/article/Indian-Hotel-Sector-will-collapse-if-not-supported-by-the-Govt-and-RBI-HAI/28-07-2020-302439/">government</a> to step in to help the sector citing losses to the tune of ₹90,000 crore this year. With hotels being shut for over three months and now opening gradually across the country, the listed hoteliers have all gone to report massive losses for the first quarter of the financial year. Patanjali Keswani, Chairman &amp; Managing Director, Lemon Tree let out a word of caution even said that while he is hopeful for a gradual recovery in the second half of the year, he is still shoring up cash for the next one year, "assuming the worst-case scenario." MakeMyTrip has liquidity of nearly $168 million as of 31st March which will help them survive for two years.
