While not everyone believes in it, 360 ONE Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2023 report gives a detailed list of the star signs of India’s most successful billionaires. As of 2023, those with the <keyword id="123559" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="pisces" source="Orion">Pisces</keyword> sign had a great year, followed by Taurus and Libra. Things were not that smooth for the Cancerians who saw 26% of their wealth eroded. While there was a cumulative wealth increase of almost 35% for the Pisces, Taurus saw an uptick of 26.6%. Librans were just behind with 25.2% growth in wealth. Virgos, Aquarians, Capricorns, Leos and Gemini’s saw a double digit growth in wealth in the last one year. Aries, and Scorpios saw single digit rises. For Sagittarians, there was barely any change. The top contributors to the list A closer look at the star signs of India’s richest shows that, overall, Virgos and Scorpios led the way in total contribution, with the highest number of entries followed by Pisces. Virgo, the star sign was led by the likes of Shapoor Pallonji Mistry, Anil Agarwal, Gopikishan Damani and contributed 9.6% to the Hurun Rich list. Shapoor Pallonji Mistry has total wealth of ₹70,800 crore and is fifth on the list of Richest Non-Resident Indians. Anil Agarwal of Vedanta Group has ₹66,900 cr with his family after seeing a 14% uptick. While Cancerians cumulatively saw an erosion, the likes of Gautam Adani, who has come second overall despite a tough year, contributed 8.5% to the rich list. Star power: Indian billionaires with Pisces zodiac sign had a good run last year

He was an Irish by nationality as his mother was Irish.</li><li>He was the second son of billionaire and construction magnate <keyword id="6689214" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="pallonji-mistry" source="Orion">Pallonji Mistry</keyword> and his elder brother is <keyword id="844645" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="shapoor-mistry" source="Orion">Shapoor Mistry</keyword>. Both his parents held Irish citizenship.</li><li><keyword id="6391150" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="mistry" source="Orion">Mistry</keyword> went to Cathedral &amp; John Connon School in Mumbai. He went to Imperial College in London and got a Bachelor of Engineering in civil engineering from University College London. </li><li>Pallonji Mistry died earlier this year in June. The Pallonji’s have had business interests in India for over 100 years. In the 1930s Mistry’s grandfather acquired a stake in Tata Sons. He also got a Masters degree in management from University of London. </li><li>The Mistry family has 18.37% in Tata Sons, which is the largest shareholding by a single entity.</li><li>Cyrus Mistry joined the Tata Sons board in 2006 after his father retired from it. He served as director on Tata Elxsi between 1990 and 2009 and was also a director on Tata Power board till 2006.</li><li>In 2013, Mistry was appointed chairman of Tata Sons and was also appointed chairman of several other Tata group companies. </li><li>Cyrus Mistry was married to Rohiqa Chagla, the daughter of lawyer Iqbal Chagla and granddaughter of jurist MC Chagla. Born on July 4, 1968, Mistry earned a civil engineering degree from London's Imperial College of Science and Technology and a postgraduate degree of Master of Science in Management from London Business School. CPM, as he was fondly known, was a voracious reader and joined the family business in March 1991 as a Director, overseeing the group's construction business. Mistry's entrepreneurial <keyword id="34279" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="mindset" source="Orion">mindset</keyword> helped the Shapoorji Pallonji Group achieve many milestones over the past two decades, including one of India's first integrated, project-financed power plants, and the development of India's first biotechnology park. With his vision and eye for detail, he was instrumental in steering the Group from a pure contractor to a 'value-added' player, by developing competencies in allied areas such as EPC and 'Design &amp; Build'. He also envisioned, and oversaw, the evolution of the Group into an end-to-end business group, spanning design and engineering, construction, and asset development, and committed to a journey of lifelong learning across multiple disciplines. Despite his success, Mistry always kept a low profile, away from the limelight, deeply valued righteousness and honesty, and was known for his transparency and integrity in all his business dealings, it said. "He was extremely humble, approachable to all, and always lent a helping hand to the less fortunate. Deeply loved by his family, he was a friend to countless many. We pray that his soul rests in eternal peace," the family said. Mistry's last rites shall be performed at the Worli Crematorium at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. "A friend to many, loved by all. The company’s promoters including Cyrus Pallonji Mistry, Shapoorji Pallonji and Co and Khurshed Yazdi Daruvala hold over 69% stake in Sterling and Wilson Solar. They, <a href="https://www.businesstoday.in/magazine/corporate/story/debt-challenge-288681-2021-02-18">reportedly</a>, missed the deadline to repay the remaining ₹1,148 crore to Sterling &amp; Wilson out of the ₹2,644 crore promised at the time of the company's initial public offer (IPO), which hit the market in August 2019. This took the market by surprise and the stock went down 17% in the four months that followed. “Once the loans are repaid, we should be focusing on growth aggressively and increasing shareholder value," Bikesh Ogra, chief executive officer at Sterling &amp; Wilson Solar, had said in February this year. The promoters started to sell some of the other businesses including a stake in Eureka Forbes to global private equity firm Advent International for ₹4,400 crore. Eureka Forbes is known for the Aquaguard brand, a household name in water purification, besides Forbes vacuum cleaners. In April last year, the group sold five solar assets to KKR &amp; Co for ₹1,550 crore. The promoters of the SP Group, the Mistry family, also raised ₹4,500- ₹5,000 crore from credit fund Ares SSG and US hedge fund Farallon Capital in March to meet their immediate liquidity concerns. Promoters (the Mistrys) have also infused funds in group companies from borrowings. India added more than three dollar billionaires every month in 2019, taking the tally to 138 that has helped the country to feature at the third position globally, says a report. China and the US occupied the first and second spot with 799 and 626 billionaires, respectively. In total, India got 34 new billionaires to take the count to 138 on the list, topped by Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries with USD 67 billion in networth, minting Rs 7 crore every hour, and the number jumps to 170 if Indian-origin billionaires outside the country are tallied. According to the ninth edition of the Hurun Global Rich List 2020, which has a list of 2,817 individuals across the globe having a networth of USD 1 billion or more, the world has added 480 billionaires in 2019, more than one a day, while China added more than three a week and India did more than three billionaires a month. However, according to the report, with 799 China is home to more billionaires than the US (626) and India combined and is set to add many more pharma billionaires this year as the communist nation fights a deadly coronavirus epidemic that has already killed more than 2,710 people since mid-January. There is no surprise that Mumbai is the home to more than a third of the richest individuals in the country with 50 of them living in the megapolis, making it the ninth richest city globally, followed by New Delhi with 30, Bengaluru with 17 and Ahmedabad with 12. With USD 67 billion, Ambani is also the ninth richest in the world which is topped by Jeff Bezos of Amazon with USD 140 billion. The second in the list is SP Hinduja family (USD 27 billion), Gautam Adani (a little over USD 17 billion), Shiv Nadar &amp; family (close to USD 17 billion), and Lakshmi Mittal with over USD 15 billion in networth. At the sixth lot is banker Uday Kotak with a networth of around USD 15 billion, making him the richest self-made banker in the whole world. At the seventh slot is Azim Premji with (USD 14 billion), followed by Cyrus Poonawalla of Serum Institute (USD 12 billion) and Cyrus Pallonji Mistry and his son Shapoor Pallonji with USD 11 billion each. And Oyo founder Ritesh Agarwal, all of just 24 years, is the youngest Indian in the rich list with a networth of USD 1.1 billion. Hurun Report India managing director Anas Rahman Junaid said the Indian billionaires are defying gravity as the deepening slowdown does not seem to hamper their growth. It can be noted that 2019 was a good year for the stock markets globally with the US bourses rallying 26 per cent and Indian and Chinese indices gaining 15 per cent and 14 per cent, respectively in the year. The 50 billionaires of Mumbai control around USD 218 billion of wealth between them, followed by 30 in New Delhi holding USD 76 billion and 17 in Bengaluru are worth USD 42 billion, while the 12 in Ahmedabad are worth USD 36 billion and the seven in Hyderabad are worth USD 13 billion, according to Junaid.
