As Apple is preparing to launch new <keyword id="6354606" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="iPhone">iPhone</keyword>s, a new survey has revealed that nearly 44 per cent of current iPhone users intend to upgrade to an <keyword id="8419362" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="iphone-13">iPhone 13</keyword> model. According to a new survey by <keyword id="11830482" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="sellcell">SellCell</keyword>, 43.7 per cent of iPhone users said they plan to switch to iPhone 13, up 2.7 per cent compared to iPhone 12 purchase intent from a survey last year. Whereas 56.3 per cent revealed they are not interested in the upcoming iPhone range. The report mentioned that higher refresh rate display, under-display Touch ID, always-on display and smaller notch/notch-less design topped the list of most exciting rumoured features of iPhone 13 at 22 per cent, 18.2 per cent, 16 per cent, 10.9 per cent, respectively. Like the predecessor iPhone 12, the iPhone 13 will also likely be available in four variants -- 5.4-inch iPhone 13 Mini, 6.1-inch iPhone 13, 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max, despite rumours early on that Apple could ditch the 'Mini' model due to poor sales. The standard iPhone 13 was the most popular pick at 38.2 per cent, followed by the iPhone 13 Pro Max at 30.8 per cent. 24 per cent said they would go for the iPhone 13 Pro model, whereas a mere 7 per cent are interested in the smallest iPhone 13 Mini. Among the wearables, 27.3 per cent of iPhone owners said they would consider buying the Apple Watch Series 7 as it releases later this year. On the other hand, only a mere 12.9 per cent expressed interest in buying the third iteration of <keyword id="3500504" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="apple-airpods">Apple AirPods</keyword>, despite rumours about a new design, noise cancellation feature, spatial audio support and more. The online survey -- conducted between July 28 to Aug 6, 2021 -- involved more than 3,000 iPhone owners, aged 18 years or older, based in the US. Nearly 44% iPhone users intend to upgrade to iPhone 13, reveals new survey

The Centre is confident about its recent decision to relax withdrawal norms for <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Cabinet-clears-7th-Pay-Panel-proposals-23-pay-hike-for-government-employees/articleshow/52968874.cms">government employees</a> from the General Provident Fund (<keyword id="514222" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="GPF">GPF</keyword>), saying that both the government and <keyword id="6357081" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Employees">employees</keyword> will benefit from the decision. 
 
As the employees would be able to withdraw their funds, it would raise demand for consumer durables and housing, thus benefiting the economy.

 It was on March 7 that the government had liberalised <keyword id="4347550" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="GPF-rules">GPF rules</keyword> regarding withdrawals for education, obligatory expenses, illness and purchase of consumer durables. While earlier <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Demonetisation-effect-Central-government-employees-get-Rs-10000-in-salary-as-advance/articleshow/55601914.cms">employees</a> who had completed 15 years of service could withdraw their fund, now the criterion has been relaxed by 5.

 "These reforms may, in general, be taken as a reaffirmation of the mindset of the present Central Government and the prime minister of trusting the intention and basic honesty of purpose of the <keyword id="6384319" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Government-employees">government employees</keyword>, preventing undue harassment by cutting down the redtape, thereby making these withdrawals, that inevitably are availed at critical junctures or for imminent needs during the life of the government employee, easier and more financially beneficial for him," said a statement from government. 
 
"Along with the benefits accruing to the government employees, the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Indian-economic-growth-April-June-2016/articleshow/53960643.cms">economy</a> also stands to gain from these amendments. Demand for consumer durables and housing will get a boost with the larger and expedited withdrawals from GPF that the subscribers are projected to make with the implementation of these reforms. This will help these sectors at a time when bank credit off-take is low," it added.

The extra cash comes in the form of unused <keyword id="6608045" type="TECHNOLOGY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Cell-phones">cell phones</keyword>, which, according data released by <a href="http://www.sellcell.com/">SellCell.com</a> and OnePoll, adds up to $33.8 billion nationwide. 
That's a lot of cash to leave lying around the house. 
“Many Americans are looking for ways to earn some extra cash, especially in a sluggish economy and following the expensive holiday season," SellCell.com managing director Colin White said.
"So, it is very surprising that consumers are literally sitting on billions of potential dollars in their unused smartphones and feature phones, often stashed away in boxes at home."

About 20 percent of people reported not selling their old phones because "they're lazy," and another 20 percent said they're hanging on to the devices out of fear of jeopardizing their personal data by <keyword id="114175" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="recycling">recycling</keyword> them.

Neither of these are valid enough reasons to leave that much cash lying around.

Sell them. For other popular phones, SellCell data shows the HTC EVO 4G goes for about $40, a Motorola DROID X brings in about $35 and a <keyword id="6354356" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="BlackBerry">BlackBerry</keyword> Torch 9800 can cash in for close to $100.
Trade them in. Almost all cell phone retailers will let customers bring in their old smartphones and trade them in for an upgrade. How much you get depends on the age, model and functionality of the phone, but it's a nice way to get a discount on a newer model. 
Donate them to a good cause. For those not interested in the money, several other sites accept cell phone donations for a good cause, including <a href="http://www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com/">Cell Phones for Soldiers</a>, <a href="http://aboutus.verizonwireless.com/commitment/community_programs/hopeline/">Verizon Hopeline</a> and <a href="http://911cellphonebank.org/">911cellphonebank.org</a>. And you're also doing Earth a favor. <a href="http://www.epa.gov/epawaste/conserve/materials/ecycling/donate.htm">The Environmental Protection Agency estimates</a> 35,000 pounds of copper, 772 pounds of silver, 75 pounds of gold and 33 pounds of palladium can be saved from every million phones recycled.
