Coding Elements was started in 2017 by Mudit Goel that offers computer science courses to students such as data science, machine learning, and full-stack web and mobile app development. The platform also offers coding courses for kids. It claims to have about 4,000 students on its platform. Moreover, it is also offering courses in partnership with the government think tank NITI Aayog to 2 million students across 6,000 schools under Atal Innovation Mission. With this acquisition, Bengaluru-based two-year-old startup Scaler aims to strengthen further and expand its offering in the professional upskilling space. Goel has joined the startup as the strategy and product lead. “This acquisition will enable us to further strengthen our upskilling platform by expanding our course offerings beyond core software engineering … The acquisition is another step towards accelerating our growth and making Scaler a world-class virtual tech university. Further, we continue to assess and evaluate potential M&amp;A [mergers and acquisitions] opportunities in the segment that matches Scaler’s vision and mission,” said Abhimanyu Saxena, co-founder of Scaler. Sequoia and Tiger Global-backed edtech startup Scaler Academy makes its first acquisition

That means, the salaries offered after reskilling was more than double, compared to the campus offers. “Once the youth of our country is empowered with the necessary skills and knowledge, they are capable of creating hundreds of unicorns like Facebook and Google. Reskilling startup InterviewBit raises ₹142.6 crore from Sequoia India and Tiger Global

On Monday, news platform Bloomberg reported that the ride-hailing company has selected banks “including” Citigroup and Kotak Mahindra Bank, quoting sources it did not name. According to the news report, Ola is planning to raise $1 billion (around ₹7300 crore at current exchange rate) from its initial public offering (IPO). When Business Insider reached out to Ola via a text message, its spokesperson declined to comment. As per Bloomberg, Ola is seeking a valuation of $8 billion from its IPO. It had been planning its public market debut since 2019. The company had also set up a pre-IPO trust in September 2019. According to a Reuters <a href="https://www.reuters.com/article/us-ola-ipo-idUSKBN1Y30L9">report</a> published in 2019, Ola was planning to hit the public market by March 2021. However the plans were obviously pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ola had to lay off about <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/business/startups/news/ola-fired-1400-employees-as-revenue-is-hit-by-95-in-the-last-two-months/articleshow/75843656.cms">1,400 employees</a> from its workforce in May 2020, as its revenue had declined by 95% in the first two month of the pandemic-induced lockdown during wave one. New Delhi, Jan 28 () Bengaluru-based InterviewBit on Tuesday said it has raised USD 20 million (over Rs 142 crore) in funding led by Sequoia India and Tiger Global among others.
InterviewBit, a Surge 01 (a Sequoia program) start-up, offers an advanced online computer science program for college graduates and young professional software engineers called Scaler Academy.
"The company will use these funds to scale up their enrolment and launch in new markets, while also investing in their curriculum and their live teaching product to enhance the student-teacher experience," a statement said.
 InterviewBit co-founder Anshuman Singh said a lot of young engineers don't always have access and exposure to the relevant technical skills or recruitment processes of global companies. 
"Our mission is to bridge that gap and help them grow in their careers. We are very pleased to be able to help young engineers expand their knowledge and coding skills and enable them to get top tier software engineering jobs at the best global tech companies," he added.
Founded in 2015 by Abhimanyu Saxena and Anshuman Singh, InterviewBit is an online platform that teaches skills needed for technology jobs, mentors students to crack recruitment processes and provides referrals to opportunities in the software industry globally. 
It has more than a million registered software developers with over 3,00,000 monthly active users. Over 600 companies work with InterviewBit for their hiring requirements including Google, Uber, Amazon, Facebook, Flipkart, Myntra and Dunzo. SR RUJ
