It is the last year of my school life and I haven't come to school even one day," said Pragati Diwan, an excited class 12 student. For another student at Geeta Bal Bharti School, the feeling was similar to that of attending first day at school. "It does not feel like I am coming to school after ten months, it feels like I have come to school for the first time. I am looking forward to the preparations for <keyword id="32862" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="board-exams">board exams</keyword> here," she said. Prince, a student at Delhi government school, said, "The online classes were a great help for theoretical subjects but the practical subjects were a challenge. The school put up posters of "welcome back" in corridors where teachers stood with sanitisers and checked the temperature of each student before letting them in. Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Mandawali decorated the premises with balloons and the teachers showered flower petals on students, welcoming them. The teachers are also overjoyed to meet students, saying it has filled an empty space in their life," Sisodia said Calling students in different slots, shorter school hours, frequent sanitisation and staggered entry and exit are among the plans of various schools in the national capital as they gear to welcome class 10 and 12 students on Monday for the first time in the academic session. The schools are reopening in Delhi after 10 months, after being shut last year to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, and they have been instructed by the <keyword id="6389012" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="directorate-of-education">Directorate of Education</keyword> (DoE) to follow all COVID-19 guidelines when classroom studies resume. New Delhi, Jul 11 () State-owned RCF on Saturday said it has introduced a hand sanitiser in the market as part of its effort to control spread of coronavirus disease. "To assist government in its effort to combat COVID-19, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd (RCF) has introduced a Hand Cleansing IPA Gel RCF SAFEROLA," an official statement said. According to RCF, this hand cleansing gel is a skin friendly moisturizer based hand-sanitiser, which contains Iso Propyl Alcohol (IPA) and Aloe Vera extract. It is enriched with Vitamin-E and has a fresh lime fragrance. RCF has made available this hand cleansing gel in easy to carry non spillable 50 ml and 100 ml bottles at a reasonable price of Rs 25 and Rs 50 per bottle, respectively, the statement said. RCF proposes to market this product through its country wide distribution network. RCF CMD S C Mudgerikar said the product is the company's small contribution towards controlling spread of the current pandemic. RCF - a Mini Ratna - is a leading producer of fertilisers and chemicals in the country. It manufactures urea, complex fertilisers, bio-fertilisers, micro-nutrients, water soluble fertilisers, soil conditioners and a wide range of industrial chemicals. RCF launches hand sanitiser to control COVID-19

Schools in <keyword id="6355588" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="rajasthan">Rajasthan</keyword> that have been closed for the last seven months in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, may finally start from November 2, at least for Classes 10 to 12, confirmed officials. Three days back, the State Education Department sent a ready proposal to the state government for opening schools for the senior classes November 2 onwards. It is now awaiting the response from the state government, state education minister Govind Singh Dotasara confirmed to IANS. The senior classes will be opening in the first phase. "A detailed SOP has been drafted in this context and sent to the state government as well. Our worry is to ensure that the schools are being run for 150 days at least which is the minimum requirement for operating one academic school session," he said, adding that zero academic sessions are no where on our minds. New Delhi, Mar 24 () The government on Tuesday banned export of all sanitisers and ventilators with immediate effect in wake of the coronavirus outbreak. "Export of all sanitisers...is prohibited, with immediate effect," the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a notification. It also banned exports of all types of ventilators, including any artificial respiratory apparatus or oxygen therapy apparatus or any other breathing appliance or device. Last week, it had banned export of certain ventilators, surgical and disposable masks and textile raw material used for making masks. There is a shortage of hand sanitisers and face masks in the market amid the coronavirus outbreak as people resorted to panic buying. RR HRS

New York, Apr 25 (AP) Federal prosecutors charged a New York retailer with hoarding tons of disposable masks, surgical gowns and hand sanitiser in a Long Island warehouse and selling the items at huge markups.Amardeep "Bobby" Singh (45), was charged with violating the Defense Production Act of 1950 in what authorities described as the first such prosecution during the coronavirus pandemic. Singh is expected to surrender to authorities next week in the case around what is known as personal protective equipment, which has become a hot commodity during the outbreak. Singh's attorney, Bradley Gerstman, called the charges "mostly fiction" and said the complaint misstated his client's costs. "If selling PPE goods is improper or criminal, then a lot of people need to go to jail," Gerstman said in a telephone interview. "The Defense Production Act is wildly vague, and I don't think this would pass muster on any appellate level. I think this statute would be struck down as null and void." The charges come more than a month after President Donald Trump issued an executive order making it illegal to hoard scarce medical supplies or sell personal protective equipment at inflated prices."Singh's amassing of critical personal protective equipment during a public health crisis and reselling at huge markups places him squarely in the cross-hairs of law enforcement armed with the Defense Production Act," Brooklyn US Attorney Richard Donoghue said in a written statement. Singh sells sneakers and apparel at his Plainview store, prosecutors said, but dedicated a new section last month to "COVID-19 Essentials," including N95 masks, face shields, gloves and disinfecting products. In late March and early April, authorities said, Singh stockpiled more than 1.6 tons of disposable masks; 2.2 tons of surgical gowns; 1.8 tons of hand sanitizer and seven shipments of digital thermometers. Records from the store showed he bought the face masks for 7 cents apiece and then resold them for $1 each, prosecutors said. A search of his business and warehouse turned up more than 5,000 face shields, 2,471 full-body isolation suits and 711,400 disposable vinyl gloves, according to court records. Authorities said Singh marketed the products on social media and continued selling them even after he received a cease-and-desist letter from the New York Attorney General's Office, which called his pricing "unconscionably excessive." Singh's stockpiles for now are being held as evidence, but the Federal Emergency Management Agency is "working through the details" of how to reallocate the materials to institutions in need of such equipment, said a law enforcement official familiar with the matter.
