Valarivan wore Bib No. 1441 and fired her shots from lane 24, while Ramita donned 1436 and occupied lane number 37. Ramita started the event on a dominant note, scoring 10.5 and followed it up with a perfect 10.9. Elavenil began the proceedings with a 10.6 and 10.7. Ramita's performance started to dip in the first series after she slipped out of the top 20. She finished the first series with a score of 104.3. Elavenil ended the first series with a score of 105.8 and finished inside the top five. In the second series, Ramita continued to hit the region of 10 and moved to the eighth spot. Valarivan maintained consistency and stayed inside the top five. Elavenil moved to the second spot in the second series and looked well set for the remainder of the event. Ramita continued to hit the low 10 which affected her positioning. The event proceeded and Ramita gradually made her comeback while Elavenil floundered in her final shots which led to her downfall. Ramita struck 10.4 and accumulated 105.7 points in the final to move past Oceanne Muller and book her place in the final. Paris Olympics: Indian shooter Ramita Jindal qualifies for final in women's 10m air rifle event

The markets regulator Securities &amp; Exchange Board of India (<keyword id="35210" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="sebi" source="Orion">SEBI</keyword>) has served final notices to nine 'missing' entities pertaining to various proceedings the watchdog is conducting against them. The SEBI has proceeded against these entities -- all are based in north India -- under various provisions of the SEBI Act, 1992, and has given them a 'final opportunity of personal hearing' this day (January 20) in the interest of natural justice. However, the regulator said that the notices for the online hearing -- in the matter of Fairwealth Securities Ltd. and Fairwealth Commodity Broking Pvt. Ltd -- could not be delivered at the known addresses of the concerned entities via SPAD, hand delivery and affixture. Three of the noticees are: Fairwealth Securities Ltd. and Katashraj Securities Pvt. Ltd. (both Gurrgram) and <keyword id="5192298" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="sandeep-jindal" source="Orion">Sandeep Jindal</keyword> of Gurugram. The other six are from different areas of Delhi: <keyword id="16175979" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="naveen-gaba" source="Orion">Naveen Gaba</keyword> of Mayur Vihar; Aagas Software Solutions Pvt. SEBI slaps final hearing notices to 9 'missing' entities

New Delhi, Jan 23 () Markets regulator Sebi on Thursday slapped a total fine of Rs 10.7 crore on Jindal Cotex and its three officials in a matter related to manipulation in issuance of global depository receipts (GDR).
 Managing director of the firm Sandeep Jindal, whole time director Rajinder Jindal, and chairman Yash Paul Jindal are the officials on whom the regulator has levied fines.
 The regulator, during an investigation conducted between June 2010 to July 2010, found that the firm had issued 5 million GDRs amounting to USD 38.75 million on June 30, 2010, equivalent to 2,00,00,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each.
 During the probe, Sebi observed that the entire 1.51 million GDRs were subscribed by only one entity, Vintage FZE (now known as Alta Vista International FZE).
 The subscription amount for GDR was paid by Vintage after obtaining loan from European American Investment Bank (EURAM).
 Sebi found that the loan paid by Vintage was secured by pledge agreement between Jindal and EURAM Bank.
 The firm was found to have made false and misleading corporate announcements.
 Jindal did not inform stock exchanges with regard to pledge agreement entered into with EURAM Bank for subscription of GDRs, delisting of GDRs on Luxembourg Stock Exchange, and termination of GDR program, which was price sensitive information and could have impacted the price of the scrip.
 The regulator said that "the GDRs were not issued in a genuine manner, but rather through a fraudulent arrangement."
 With this fraudulent arrangement, the firm violated Prohibition of Fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices regulations and by not making requisite disclosures to the exchanges it violated Listing Agreements norms.
 Accordingly, a total fine of Rs 10.3 crore has been imposed on the firm, while Sandeep Jindal faces a fine of Rs 20 lakh and Rajinder Jindal and Yash Paul Jindal face a fine of Rs 10 lakh each. SRS

Record shooting contingent out to end India's 12-year medal drought

(Eds: Updating figure) Shimla, May 19 () Two men including a Dubai returnee tested positive for coronavirus whereas four patients recovered from the disease in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday, taking the tally of total positive cases to 93. A Dubai returned man from Chamba district, who was quarantined in Kangra district, and a Mumbai returnee from Una district have tested positive on Tuesday, Special Secretary (Health) Nipun Jindal said. The 21-year-old man had returned from Dubai in United Arab Emirates (UAE) via Punjab's Amritsar airport on May 13, Jindal said. He was kept under institutional quarantine in Kangra's Damtal, he said, adding that he would be shifted to PRT Baijnath. While the 28-year-old man had recently arrived from Mumbai and was quarantined since then, Una deputy commissioner Sandeep Kumar said. Additional Chief Secretary (Health) R D Dhiman said that three patients in Kangra and two in Bilaspur recovered from coronavirus on Tuesday. With this, eight people have been cured in Kangra out of the total 22 positive cases in the district, he added. Now, active cases in Kangra stand at 13 whereas one man died in March. Similarly in Bilaspur, five out of the total seven cases are active while two are cured. The total number of infected people in the state stands at 93, while 51 of them have been cured whereas four have died. The active cases in the state now stand at 38 including 13 from Kangra, 11 from Hamirpur, five each from Bilaspur and Chamba, two each from Sirmaur and Una. DJI RHL
