The global chip giant, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Intel-launches-7th-Gen-core-processor/articleshow/53944384.cms">Intel</a>, may be buying <keyword id="2352403" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="soft-machines">Soft Machines</keyword>, which is a chip design company founded by an Indian origin entrepreneur Mahesh <keyword id="2937547" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Lingareddy">Lingareddy</keyword>. Based out of <keyword id="6357722" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="silicon-valley">Silicon Valley</keyword>, this company has been bought reportedly for $300 million ( Rs 2,000 crore). While both the companies haven’t declared anything officially, the sources have confirmed that it is a <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Intel-launches-7th-Gen-core-processor/articleshow/53944384.cms">cash-cum-stock</a> deal with cash component over $250 million. 
 
As per the deal, all professionals of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Intel-launches-7th-Gen-core-processor/articleshow/53944384.cms">Soft Machines</a> will now become a part of <keyword id="28115" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Intel">Intel</keyword>. Soft Machines develops technology that helps computation process faster and efficient. It was co founded by Lingareddy along with <keyword id="3658398" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mohammad-A-Abdallah">Mohammad A Abdallah</keyword> from <keyword id="6358619" type="COUNTRY" weightage="20" keywordseo="jordan">Jordan</keyword>. 
 The company’s website says that Lingareddy is a pass out of <keyword id="6386394" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Andhra-University">Andhra University</keyword> in <keyword id="94836" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Kakinada">Kakinada</keyword> and University of Toledo. Founded in 2006, Soft Machines is based in <keyword id="146130" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Santa-Clara">Santa Clara</keyword> of the US. It has raised $175 million from Samsung Ventures, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Intel-launches-7th-Gen-core-processor/articleshow/53944384.cms">AMD</a> and Global Foundries. 
 The source has informed the <keyword id="6474066" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="economic-times">Economic Times</keyword> that all existing investors will exit the venture and Intel will take full control. Teams from Intel have already initiated the process of expanding the four-year-old operations of Soft Machines in <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Intel-launches-7th-Gen-core-processor/articleshow/53944384.cms">Hyderabad </a>by acquiring office space in the Financial District.

In other words, he focused more on tools for iOS engineers, rather than iOS apps themselves. He says he was "super impressed" by the opportunity to create faster, more powerful chips.Lattner is now running the platform engineering team at SiFive, writing the software and tools needed to design chips. "Nobody really thinks of it as writing code," Lattner said. "Chip design is one of the most software intensive worlds you've seen. The verification of chips involves writing tons of test code. Designing the chip itself involves tools and languages."Lattner says one of the biggest challenges he expects to face is how fast SiFive is scaling, but those are "good problems to have.""Our mission is to make the hardware engineers and the people who design circuits be way more productive and be happier," Lattner said. "We're applying new technology to old problems."<h2>'Very distinct corporate cultures'</h2>Lattner brings to SiFive experience from working at Apple, Tesla, and Google. After working nearly 12 years at Apple where he built developer tools, he did a six-month stint at Tesla leading its autopilot software. Most recently at Google, where he worked for two and a half years, Lattner helped lead the TensorFlow team, working on projects like the Swift for TensorFlow effort and launching Cloud tensor processing units, a chip that powers Google products like Translate, Photos, Search, Assistant, and Gmail.Still, he says joining SiFive wasn't about leaving Google. He thought the opportunity at SiFive was exciting, and he "had to jump.""The decision to leave Google was incredibly difficult," Lattner said. "I was leaving an amazing company with a lot of great things going on...I felt like they're in good shape and in good hands."From working at three tech giants, Lattner says he learned from the cultures of Apple, Tesla, and Google, all of which have "very distinct corporate cultures.""Apple is a very product driven company. It thinks a lot about users," Lattner said. "Tesla is a very mission driven one, like 'Let's fix global warming.' A lot of it was down to 'Let's help with this.' Google is a very technology driven company. That's really what drives Google."SiFive brings all of these traits together Lattner says. "SiFive is a very nice mix of all these things," Lattner said. The obvious exceptions are apps that require smartphone-only functions like accelerometers and a GPS.BlueStacks has proved particularly popular with gamers looking to play mobile gaming apps like "Candy Crush" and "Angry Birds" through their computer. The company claims that mobile gamers are more willing to spend significantly more through in-app game purchases when they're playing through their PC."As our product and platform has matured, it has attracted a new genre of gamers," said BlueStacks CEO, Rosen Sharma. "Hardcore PC gamers we find are also into playing midcore mobile games. These users spend a lot of money, which has attracted app developers to our platform in droves. On the other end of the spectrum, apps like messaging and eCommerce also tend to get heavy usage and attract high-value users. The platform has been a boon for advertisers."Coinciding with the milestone, BlueStacks also announced that it has updated the app player with a number of new features.
