<ul><li><keyword id="10591" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="samsung" source="Orion">Samsung</keyword> has unveiled the latest prototype of its stretchable display technology.</li><li>It shows the screen moving up and down according to the flowing lava.</li><li>The display gives an immersive 3D representation of the 2D content.</li></ul>Samsung is one of the pioneers when it comes to innovative displays on smartphones, TVs and monitors. Its latest experiment in this field is a stretchable display. Samsung Display showed off a prototype of its stretchable OLED display that is 13-inches long and can be three-dimensionally stretched as per the content displayed on the screen. The stretchable OLED display was unveiled at the Global Tech Korea 2021 event, ET News <a href="https://www.etnews.com/20210908000190?mc=em_002_00001">reported</a>. Samsung Display actually showed a video demonstrating its stretchable display. It shows the video of flowing lava where the display actually moves according to how the lava flows. It looks somewhat like a breathing display where the screen moves up and down, which then gives the illusion of 3D from a 2D content. Back then it unveiled the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EMBTHbkXnE">first prototype</a> of its stretchable OLED that was 9.1-inches long which couldn’t reproduce as many movements as the latest one does. It has now expanded the length and with more improvements. According to ET News, stretchable displays are the most difficult when it comes to implementing the technology, and it’s also considered the end point of flexible display technology. Samsung Display had also demonstrated a stretchable OLED display earlier this year in June. Here, the company integrated the display into a stretchable heart monitor that can be stuck onto the skin. The purpose of this is to measure your biometric data anytime without having to remove the device. It should also feel more natural than using another device. The display also shows your biometric data. Samsung expects this stretchable display to be used in health wearables and also for patients with certain diseases. Eleven new cases of <keyword id="6360092" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Dengue" source="Orion">dengue</keyword> have been reported from <keyword id="6355192" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="lucknow" source="Orion">Lucknow</keyword> in the past 24 hours, which is the highest count in a single day so far. Five of the patients are women and six men. While three cases each were reported from <keyword id="6385711" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indira-Nagar" source="Orion">Indira Nagar</keyword> and <keyword id="310205" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="gomti-nagar" source="Orion">Gomti Nagar</keyword>, one patient was from <keyword id="3676834" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="faizullaganj" source="Orion">Faizullaganj</keyword> and other cases were from Kakori and Malihabad. The condition of two patients, under treatment at SPM Civil Hospital and a private hospital in Indira Nagar respectively, is said to be critical. Other patients are recovering at home and are stable, said health officials. Chief Medical Officer Manoj Agrawal said: "The situation is under control. Activities like anti larvae sprinkle and fogging are being done in the affected areas. Besides, beds have been reserved in hospitals. We have directed rapid response teams to visit these areas with instructions to send a report if anyone is found with dengue symptoms." However, no death due to dengue has been reported yet in the state capital. SP leader and ex-minister K.P. Yadav who got infected in Jaunpur, died due to dengue shock syndrome while under treatment in a hospital in Lucknow on September 1. The Health Department teams found larvae of Aedes aegypti, the mosquito that is carrier of dengue virus, at 37 houses in Faizullaganj and Malihabad localities. Larvae were also found in a mall in Vikas Nagar. "At most places, the larvae were found in flower pots or desert coolers. The Aedes aegypti breeds in fresh water in households and people should not allow water to accumulate at any place in the rainy season," said a health official.
