Pharma major <keyword id="105572" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="glenmark-pharmaceuticals">Glenmark Pharmaceuticals</keyword> Limited on Monday announced the launch of Ryaltris-AZ <keyword id="61332" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="nasal">nasal</keyword> spray for the <keyword id="6355989" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="treatment">treatment</keyword> of moderate to severe allergic rhinitis, in <keyword id="3658" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="India">India</keyword>. Glenmark has been the first to launch the branded generic version for the treatment of allergic rhinitis in India. According to a study, around 20-30 per cent of the Indian population suffers from allergic rhinitis, Glenmark said. Glenmark has priced the nasal spray Ryaltris-AZ at ₹175 per pack of 75 metered doses (MD). The average cost of therapy of top 10 existing brands of the similar drug category is ₹365, the company said. According to Glenmark, it is the first company in the world to launch Ryaltris-AZ, as a novel fixed dose combination of Mometasone furoate 50 mcg + Azelastine 140 mcg. Developed by Glenmark, Ryaltris-AZ is a novel fixed-dose combination nasal spray of an anti-histamine and a steroid, indicated for treatment of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (AR) in patients over 12 years of age. It relieves symptoms of allergic rhinitis, including stuffy nose, <keyword id="1680926" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Runny-nose">runny nose</keyword>, nasal itching, sneezing, as well as itchy, red and watery eyes, Glenmark said. Pharma major Glenmark rolls out new nasal spray Ryaltris -AZ for moderate to severe allergies rhinitis in India

New Delhi, Feb 27 () Glenmark Pharmaceuticals on Thursday said it has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC for commercialising its novel nasal spray Ryaltris in the US.The company, however, did not disclose the amount that it stands to receive from Hikma. The licensing pact for Ryaltris has been signed between the company's Swiss subsidiary, Glenmark Specialty SA and Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC (Hikma).Ryaltris is a novel fixed-dose combination nasal spray of an anti-histamine and a steroid, indicated for treatment of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR) in patients over 12 years of age.Under the terms of the agreement, Mumbai-based Glenmark will be responsible for the continued development and regulatory approval of Ryaltris by the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA). Hikma will be responsible for the commercialisation of Ryaltris in the US following approval. Hikma would also have the ability to produce the product utilizing its nasal manufacturing capabilities in Columbus, Ohio, it added. Glenmark said will receive an upfront payment, regulatory approval and commercial milestone payments as well as royalties from Hikma for Ryaltris.The agreement with Hikma is Glenmark's fourth regional licensing deal for Ryaltris. The company has already signed licensing deals for commercialising Ryaltris in China, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea."We are happy to partner with Hikma in the US as Ryaltris is a perfect strategic fit in their near-term plan to build a branded nasal spray portfolio. Glenmark inks licensing pact with Hikma for commercialisation of nasal spray Ryaltris in US

New Delhi, Dec 20 () Drug maker Glenmark Pharmaceuticals on Friday said that it has received approval from Australian regulator Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to commercialise Ryaltris in Australia through its partner Seqirus.
 Ryaltris is a new fixed dose combination nasal spray of an antihistamine and a steroid indicated for treatment of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis and rhinoconjunctivitis in patients over 12 years of age in Australia.
 "Glenmark... announced that Seqirus has received marketing approval for Ryaltris from the Therapeutic Goods Administration, Australia," the company said in a filing to BSE.
 This paves the way for the launch of Ryaltris in Australia through our partner, Seqirus. Australia will be the first market globally where Ryaltris will be launched, the company said.
 Seqirus, part of Australia-based specialty biotechnology company CSL Ltd, entered into an exclusive licensing agreement in July last year with Glenmark's subsidiary Glenmark Specialty S A to commercialise Ryaltris in Australia.
 Under the terms of the agreement, Glenmark will be responsible for product supply and Seqirus will be responsible for regulatory filing and commercialisation of the product in Australia.
 Glenmark is entitled to receive commercial milestone payments from Seqirus. Ryaltris will be manufactured at Glenmark's Baddi manufacturing facility in Himachal Pradesh.
 Australia has one of the world's highest rates of allergic rhinitis with nearly 20 per cent of the country's population suffering annually from this disease.
 In Australia and New Zealand, Seqirus is a pharmaceutical company operating with expertise in specialty and primary care pharmaceuticals and vaccines.
