<keyword id="2823" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Akshay-Kumar">Akshay Kumar</keyword> and Ileana D’Cruz starrer ‘<keyword id="433624" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rustom">Rustom</keyword>’ is releasing on August 12 and movie buffs are already busy booking tickets online. 
 
‘Rustom’, which is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, is based on a real-life story of K.M Nanavati vs Maharashtra. 
 
The story of Nanavati is quite thrilling and interesting on how the Naval officer killed his wife’s lover Prem Ahuja and got away with it. The story dates back to 1959, which gained international prominence too. 
 
The movie ‘Rustom’ is going to be an interesting watch as the trailers also look promising. The music of the movie is already a hit and both, Akshay and Ileana look straight from a classic novel. 
 
It is also worth mentioning that this is not the first time a Bollywood movie is being made on this story. Vinod Khanna-starrer 'Achanak' was also made on the same subject and was a box office hit.

While on one hand <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword> star <keyword id="2823" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Akshay-Kumar">Akshay Kumar</keyword> was not even nominated for the role in the movie <keyword id="433624" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Rustom">Rustom</keyword> in Filmfare Awards this year, he has managed to grab the most prestigious film award for the same. 
 
The actor was announced the winner of the National Film Award for Best Actor for his role as Captain Rustom Pawri in the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/entertainment/Rustom-release-Akshay-Kumars-Rustom-is-inspired-by-this-real-life-story-and-it-is-a-must-read/articleshow/53663632.cms">semi-autobiographical movie</a>, based on the story of Naval Officer K. M. Nanavati.

Sonam Kapoor's critically acclaimed 'Neerja,' based on the life and death of braveheart airhostess <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/entertainment/movies/Sonam-Kapoor-To-Play-Neerja-Bhanot-In-Biopic/articleshow/46766082.cms">Neerja Bhanot</a> was honoured with the Best Film Award. 
These are the 64th National Film Awards, and the jury was headed by director Priyadarshan. 
 
The awards were held at the National Media Centre, where Ajay Devgn's 'Shivaay' also won the award for Best Special Effects.

Akshay Kumar wins the National Award for best actor; 'Neerja' wins best film

He surely is the busiest man in Bollywood. Barely a month after he touched the patriotic strings in our hearts with <keyword id="171884" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="airlift">Airlift</keyword>, <keyword id="2823" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Akshay-Kumar">Akshay Kumar</keyword> is back as a naval officer for his upcoming period film Rustom. 
 
The 48-year old Kumar took to Twitter to share the first look of the film, which is directed by debutant Tinu Suresh Desai.

"The film is set in the late 1950s and is a pure work of fiction. Rustom is inspired from certain real life incidents that happened in the past and will be shot in India as well as in Britain," Shital Bhatia of production company Friday Filmworks had told IANS. 
 As the name suggests, Akshay would be playing <keyword id="1397650" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Rustom-Pavri">Rustom Pavri</keyword>, a Parsi naval officer in the film. This would be his first role as a Parsi, the minority section mainly living in Mumbai and Gujarat. 
 
Rustom will see Akshay reuniting with Neeraj Pandey, who directed him in <keyword id="6397822" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Special-26">Special 26</keyword> and <keyword id="6358733" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="baby">Baby</keyword>, and is serving as the producer of this film.

Affable lawyers with twisted minds Solanki’s character, based on a real-life model, brings forth the struggles of the legal system in India. But it’s not the only one, especially on OTT. Yet another celebrated actor, Pankaj Tripathi plays Madhav Mishra, an affable-yet-brilliant lawyer from Mumbai who investigates his cases closely in Criminal Justice on Hotstar. The genius underdog also takes up controversial cases like defending a drug-addict teenager accused of murdering his sister, a woman who murdered her husband, and also a cab driver accused of rape and murder of his client —- across three seasons. Tripathi says that his character is based on aam aadmi, who mixes humour with common sense. “His behaviour, mannerisms, sense of timing and body language all make him easy to understand and relate to. Like most American series, it takes us through a variety of cases on dating apps to cola giants — navigated by lawyers with twisted agendas and sharp comebacks. Legal dramas keep it real While the US has many legal dramas to boast be it the super-hit Suits, Boston Legal or The Good Wife and its spinoff, Indian screens have been a late entrant into this genre in spite of a brilliant start in the 80s with Ek Ruka Hua Faisla. The movie starring Pankaj Kapoor brings the story of the now-abandoned jury system in India, as they discuss the depths of a case where a young teen from a slum stabs his father. Later, in addition to a few movies with courtroom scenes, few full fledged legal movies made their mark, with a few exceptions like Sunny Deol’s strongman cum lawyer in Damini. Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar both played the titular roles in Jolly LLB series — as not-so-clean lawyers who had their hearts at the right place. Kumar however headlined another movie Rustom which is based on the highly publicized K M Nanavati vs State of Maharashtra court case from the 50s. The case also inspired another web series named 'The Verdict – State vs Nanavati’ on AltBalaji. In fact, most legal dramas in India have mimicked real life like No One Killed Jessica, starring Vidya Balan and Rani Mukherjee.
