New Delhi, Reliance Brands, part of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL), is planning to buy Ed-a-Mamma, a kidswear brand promoted by Bollywood actress <keyword id="6354526" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Alia-Bhatt" source="Orion">Alia Bhatt</keyword>, according to an industry source. The leading retailer would ultimately acquire the company, which specialises in providing sustainable clothing options for kids at affordable rates. Talks between Reliance Brands and the kidswear retailer, which mainly sells online are in the final stages, the industry source said. According to a media report, the deal is estimated to be around Rs 300 crore. The deal would help strengthen Reliance Brands' play into the branded kidswear segment, which is rapidly growing in the country. Ed-a-Mamma brand is owned by Eternalia Creative and Merchandising, in which Alia Bhatt is a director. The company was incorporated in 2019. An e-mail sent to Reliance Brands remained unanswered by the time of filing of the story. Established in 2007, Reliance Brands has collaborated with of over 50 international brands and operates over 2,000 stores in India. Reliance Brands to acquire Alia Bhatt-promoted kidswear brand Ed-a-Mamma

Two <keyword id="10926" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="reliance" source="Orion">Reliance</keyword> group firms - Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL) and Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL) - have announced an open offer to acquire a 26 per cent additional stake in <keyword id="8109735" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="lotus-chocolate" source="Orion">Lotus Chocolate</keyword>. The firms will together acquire 33.38 lakh shares of <keyword id="71296" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="lotus" source="Orion">Lotus</keyword> Chocolate from the open market at a fixed price of ₹115.50 per share, said a notice by DAM Capital, which is managing the offer. The offer will aggregate to a total consideration of ₹38.56 crore over the full acceptance, said an open offer-detailed public statement shared by the company with stock exchanges on Thursday. The open offer starts on February 21 and closes on March 6, said the public notice. Shares of Lotus Chocolate, which manufactures chocolates, cocoa products and cocoa derivatives, had on Thursday closed at ₹149.35 apiece, which was the highest price in the last three months. RCPL is the FMCG arm and a wholly-owned subsidiary of RRVL. The open offer follows RCPL's announcement last week for the acquisition of 51% stake of the paid-up equity share capital of Lotus from the current promoter and promoter group at a price of ₹113 per share aggregating to ₹74 crore. After that, RCPL made a public announcement to acquire 26% stake in Lotus in accordance with the SEBI Takeover Regulations. Reliance makes open offer to acquire 26% stake in Lotus Chocolate

<keyword id="58448" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Reliance-Retail">Reliance Retail</keyword> Ventures Limited (RRVL), <keyword id="6436290" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="just-dial">Just Dial</keyword> and <keyword id="614985" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="vss-mani">VSS Mani</keyword> and others on Friday executed definitive agreements which will entail preferential allotment of 2.12 crore equity shares, equivalent to 25.33 per cent post preferential share capital, at a price of <keyword id="11656458" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="rs-1022-25">Rs 1,022.25</keyword> per share. Post the agreements, <keyword id="6484187" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="ril">RIL</keyword> will acquire 1.31 crore equity shares by RRVL from VSS Mani (equivalent to 15.62 per cent post preferential share capital) at a price per share of Rs 1,020. RRVL will hold 40.95 per cent and would make an open offer to acquire up to 26 per cent stake in accordance with takeover norms. RRVL would make a public announcement to the public shareholders of Just Dial to acquire up to 2.17 crore equity shares of Just Dial, representing 26 per cent in accordance with <keyword id="35210" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="sebi">SEBI</keyword> takeover regulations, RRVL said in a statement. VSS Mani shall continue as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer to lead Just Dial through the next phase of growth. The capital infused by RRVL will help drive the growth and expansion of Just Dial into a comprehensive local listing and commerce platform. Just Dial would expand discovery on its platform and enhance transactions for millions of products and services. These investments will leverage Just Dial's existing database of 30.4 million listings and its existing consumer traffic of 129.1 million quarterly unique users (as on March 31, 2021). Speaking on the transaction, Isha Ambani, Director of RRVL, said: "Reliance is excited to partner with Justdial and VSS Mani, a first-generation entrepreneur, who has created a strong business through his business acumen and perseverance. Reliance Industries (RIL) Silver Lake Partners has <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/retail/news/reliance-retail-raises-1-billion-from-silver-lake-valuing-the-chain-at-57-billion/articleshow/78009435.cms">picked up 1.75% stake</a> in the retail arm of Mukesh Ambani owned RIL. The company invested ₹7,500 crore into its arm Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL). The shares of RIL ended 1% higher on Friday. NTPC Ltd The state-owned NTPC Ltd said it has successfully synchronised a 660-MW unit of its supercritical thermal power plant in Bihar with the grid. The company said it would help the commercial generation of electricity from it. The shares of NTPC ended 2.36% higher on Friday. Videocon Industries ad BPCL The state-owned Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) has been forced to pay for its defaulting partner Videocon Industries after it had relied on a rarely used model to acquire a stake in five oil blocks in Brazil, according to <a href="https://energy.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/oil-and-gas/bpcl-pays-for-defaulting-videocon-in-brazil-oil-block/78355979">reports</a>. The shares of Videocon Industries ended 5% lower on Friday, whereas BPCL shed nearly a percent. Sun Pharma The drug major Sun Pharma in its Annual Report for 2019-20 said the company is looking to expand its speciality business across different regions like Greater China and Japan after having established presence in the US market. The shares of Sun Pharma ended 0.72% higher on Friday. Berger Paints India’s second-largest paint maker, Berger Paints said that despite the coronavirus uncertainty its capital expenditure for this fiscal year remains unaffected and will be the same as last year. The major investment will be in its upcoming Sandila plant near Lucknow of around Rs 260 crore, and the plant is expected to be operational from 2022 onwards. The shares of Berger Paints ended 0.88% higher on Friday. Vodafone Idea The telecom regulator TRAI has decided to drop proceedings against Vodafone Idea in priority plan matter after the telco withdrew contentious claims on faster speed and modified its offering. The shares of Vodafone Idea ended 12% higher on Friday.
