According to the company, the collaboration with Blinkit will help Samsung cater to the huge demand for its flagship S24 series in the country. People purchasing the Galaxy S24 series on Blinkit can avail an instant cashback of Rs 5,000 if the purchase is done through HDFC Bank credit card. Samsung has secured record pre-bookings for the Galaxy S24 series, making it the most successful S series ever. More than 250,000 customers pre-booked a Galaxy S24 smartphone in just three days since January 18, the company stated. The sale of the Galaxy S24 devices will begin from January 31. Samsung India partners Blinkit to deliver Galaxy S24 series in 10 min

Online food delivery platform <keyword id="19901323" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="zomato" source="keywords">Zomato</keyword> on Thursday announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary <keyword id="20332565" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="zomato-payments-private-limited" source="keywords">Zomato Payments Private Limited</keyword> (<keyword id="20332941" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="zppl" source="keywords">ZPPL</keyword>) has been granted a certificate of authorisation from the <keyword id="19899810" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="reserve-bank-of-india" source="keywords">Reserve Bank of India</keyword> (<keyword id="19899808" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="rbi" source="keywords">RBI</keyword>) to operate as an '<keyword id="20332942" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="online-payment-aggregator" source="keywords">Online Payment Aggregator</keyword>'. The authorisation came into effect from January 24. "We wish to inform that ZPPL has been granted a certificate of authorisation dated January 24, 2024, from the RBI to operate as an 'Online Payment Aggregator' in India with effect from January 24, 2024, as per the guidelines issued by the RBI," Zomato said in an exchange filing. With this, Zomato Payments has expanded its role beyond food delivery and restaurant discovery into the realm of digital payments. Apart from this recent development, Zomato had partnered with ICICI Bank last year to introduce its own unified payments interface (<keyword id="19900911" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="upi" source="keywords">UPI</keyword>), Zomato UPI. Earlier this month, Zomato introduced a new feature called "daily payouts" to support emerging restaurant partners. Currently, the feature will be available for restaurant partners who receive 100 or fewer orders a month, according to the company. "Our discussions with various restaurant partners highlighted the financial challenges smaller eateries face, using the traditional weekly payout system. This feature is designed to address this critical need for more frequent access to earnings," Zomato said in a blogpost. Zomato gets RBI approval to operate as 'online payment aggregator'

Electric two wheeler manufacturer <keyword id="6077703" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="okinawa-autotech" source="Orion">Okinawa Autotech</keyword> on Tuesday said it has commenced operations at its second manufacturing unit located in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. The company aims to manufacture close to three lakh electric vehicles per year at the new plant, which will eventually be increased to a capacity of 1 million or 10 lakhs in the next two-three years -- over five times the capacity of its current plant located in Alwar. The new manufacturing facility will also employ over 250 people. "The market is evolving at a fast pace, and the ramped-up capacity will undoubtedly aid us in bolstering the mass transition to e-mobility with a diverse and innovative product portfolio," said Jeetender Sharma, MD and Founder of <keyword id="143042" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="okinawa" source="Orion">Okinawa</keyword> Autotech. The expanded production capacity will enable Okinawa Autotech to not only meet soaring demand in India but also for exports globally. The company will also invest nearly Rs 250 crore in the development of its new facilities, and develop the upcoming ingenious products, including Oki90. The company's Alwar plant has an annual capacity of 1,80,000 units. The company has over 400 centres catering to metros as well as tier 2, 3 and rural markets. Okinawa currently faces tough competition from EV industry players such as Ola, Ather, TVS and others. Okinawa Autotech opens second plant in India, to manufacture 10 lakh EVs per year by 2024

<keyword id="19965774" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="punjab-national-bank" source="keywords">Punjab National Bank</keyword> (<keyword id="19918505" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="pnb" source="keywords">PNB</keyword>) on Thursday announced an over three-fold jump in its profit to Rs 2,223 crore for the October-December quarter of the current financial year, compared to the corresponding figure of Rs 629 crore in the same period last year. The government-owned bank's total income shot up to Rs 29,962 crore during the quarter from Rs 25,722 crore in the same period last year. PNB's net interest income (<keyword id="19936363" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="nii" source="keywords">NII</keyword>) went up 12.1 per cent to Rs 10,293 crore from Rs 9,179.4 crore in the year ago period, according to a regulatory filing. The bank's asset quality also improved during the quarter with gross non-performing assets (<keyword id="19964545" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="npas" source="keywords">NPAs</keyword>) declining to 6.24 per cent of total loans from 9.76 per cent in the same period last year. Net NPAs came down to 0.96 per cent from 3.30 per cent. The provisions for bad loans made by the bank came down to Rs 2,739.1 crore from Rs 4,713.34 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. Even in a list of desolate destinations, Pitcairn Island wins by some distance. Best known as the 18th century hiding place of mutineers from the British ship HMS Bounty, no inhabited island is further from a mainland. The British Overseas Territory is barely more accessible today than it was in 1790. Anyone planning to visit from Hong Kong would need to fly to <keyword id="4741" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tokyo">Tokyo</keyword> for a connection to Papeete, in Tahiti, from where there are two four-hour flights a week to Mangareva, in the Gambier Islands. It’s then a 32-hour trip to Pitcairn aboard a supply boat that departs only every three months. A few years ago, officials launched a campaign to encourage people to join the isolated community. The world’s longest fjord serves as a gateway to Northeast Greenland National Park, the world’s largest. The luxury resorts of the Maldives are easy enough to reach, usually with a sea­plane or speedboat transfer after a long-haul flight. For something more quirky, book a flight to Gan. From 1941 to 1976, the southernmost island in the archipelago served as a British Navy and <keyword id="113964" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Royal-Air-Force">Royal Air Force</keyword> base. Much of the military infrastructure remains, including the airfield, parade ground, a mildewing art deco cinema and rows of low-rise garrison buildings. The British also built a causeway linking Gan to three neighbouring islands – the resulting 18km (11-mile) road is the longest in the Maldives. The beguiling beauty of Wadi Rum feels older than time. For centuries only nomadic Bedouins were able to survive in the inhospitable desert, situated in the far south of Jordan, the safest country in the Middle East. Then along came charismatic British officer T.E. Lawrence (of Arabia), who led an Arab revolt against the Ottoman Empire from Wadi Rum during the first world war. Supai is the capital of the <keyword id="8232283" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Havasupai">Havasupai</keyword> Indian Reservation and the “people of the blue-green water” inhabit what has been described as the most remote community in the lower 48 states. Despite being just 13km (8 miles) from the nearest road, the only way to reach the settlement and stunning turquoise waterfalls is by helicopter, mule or on foot. Located 480km (298 miles) north of the Arctic Circle, Utqiagvik, <keyword id="20636" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Alaska">Alaska</keyword>, is the northernmost town in the United States. When the sun sets in mid-November, it doesn’t rise again for 65 days. There are no roads in or out, so the Iñupiaq Eskimo settlement is accessible only by plane from Anchorage, or barge during the brief summer months.
