RIL's shares closed at ₹2,524.45 on Monday. The stock rose as much as 25% in the last one year. Reliance Jio’s positioning in the digital ecosystem, Reliance Retail's aggressive store network expansion, the potential of oil-to-chemical (O2C) business to be segregated into a separate entity and the company’s upcoming investments in new energy initiatives were likely to trigger these future price performance, as per ICICI Direct. “Long term prospects and dominant standing of RIL in each of its product and service portfolio, provides comfort for long term value creation. RIL’s consumer business will be the growth driver, going ahead. The company has a strong balance sheet post fundraising while its traditional business will continue to generate steady cash flows. We initiate coverage on the stock with a HOLD recommendation,” the report reads. Reliance Industries ended the second quarter of 2021 — April to June — with a consolidated income of ₹1,48,591 crore, representing nearly 6% decline from ₹1,58,133 crore reported in the previous quarter. The company’s net profit also fell to ₹12,273 crore from ₹13,227 crore in the previous quarter. Reliance share price soars as Mukesh Ambani continues with his fundraising blitzkrieg for retail venture

<ul><li>The shares of <keyword id="6355199" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="reliance-industries">Reliance Industries</keyword> opened 2.14% lower.</li><li><keyword id="10926" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Reliance">Reliance</keyword> had announced its financial results on April 30 (Friday) after markets closed.</li><li>Reliance’s revenue for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2021 stood at ₹172,095 crore, while its net profit doubled to ₹14,995 crore.</li></ul><keyword id="3820" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mukesh-Ambani">Mukesh Ambani</keyword>’s Reliance Industries’ earnings seemed to disappoint the markets as its stocks fell by 2.14% at 9.16 am. <div type="image" title="RIL share price May 3" msid="82364522" hostid="261"></div> The fall in stock price comes even when RIL had managed to score profits in the middle of a pandemic. Reliance’s revenue for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2021 stood at ₹172,095 crore, while its net profit doubled to ₹14,995 crore. But some of the company’ major focus areas seemed to be wearing off their sheen. While the oil to chemical vertical saw a growth of 4.5% in revenue, the profit shrunk by just as much despite a one-time gain of ₹4,420 crore from sale of its petrol pumps. Even the much talked about Reliance Jio reported a profit decline of nearly 4% with net profit of ₹3,508 crore. The company also cited the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on its business as a factor it continues to consider. “The outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic globally and in India is causing significant disturbance and slowdown of economic activity. The Group’s operations and revenue during the period were impacted due to COVID-19,” the company said in a statement on Friday. For Ambani, the growth was led by Reliance Retail. The retail arm, of Reliance Industries, clocked a 50% growth in its profits to ₹3113 crore, while its revenue has grown by 21% to ₹46,099 crore in the months from January through March, compared to the same period, last year. Reliance also announced on Saturday that it produces over 1000 MT of medical grade liquid oxygen per day — or over 11% of India’s total production. This the company claims meets “the needs of nearly every one in ten patients”. “This oxygen is being provided free-of-cost to several state governments across the country to bring immediate relief to over 1 lakh patients on a daily basis,” said the company.

Reliance Industries’ earnings disappoint markets – stocks fall by over 2% in morning trade

Shares of <keyword id="6355199" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="reliance-industries">Reliance Industries</keyword> on Wednesday rebounded nearly 6 per cent after plunging over 12 per cent in the previous session.The stock was trading 3.49 per cent up at Rs 1,152.05 on the BSE. In early trading hours the stock gained as much as 5.8 per cent to Rs 1,178.40. On the NSE, it was quoting at Rs 1,151.65, up 3.37 per cent. It touched a high of Rs 1,178.45, higher by 5.77 per cent. More than 1.71 crore shares of Reliance Industries were traded on the NSE, while BSE saw an exchange of 57 lakh shares till noon. The spurt in volume was more than 6.70 times during the day on the BSE. After surging 308 points in highly volatile trade, BSE benchmark Sensex was up 196.45 points, or 0.55 per cent, at 35,831.40, and the NSE Nifty rose 33.60 points, or 0.32 per cent, to 10,485.05. Shares of Reliance Industries on Monday slumped as much as 13 per cent amid a price war among oil producers leading to international crude prices crashing by their biggest margin since the 1991 Gulf war. Global oil benchmark Brent crude futures were trading 0.24 per cent higher at USD 37.31 per barrel at 1230 hours. Domestic financial markets were closed on Tuesday for Holi.

Reliance share price rebounds by 6% as crude prices rise

<ul><li>The share prices of <keyword id="9171" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Anil-Ambani">Anil Ambani</keyword>’s <keyword id="6368073" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Reliance-Communication">Reliance Communication</keyword> and Reliance Naval and Engineering (RNEL) seem to be rebounding as the deadline to bid for its assets nears. </li><li>The shares of Reliance Naval and Engineering (RNEL), which was as low as ₹0.75 — shot up by 10 times at ₹7.70 in a span of 11 weeks. </li><li>While Reliance Communications’ share prices, which closed down at ₹0.57 on November 18, also climbed over 4% on November 26. </li><li>This comes as Airtel and Reliance Jio bids to purchase the assets of the company and its two subsidiaries. </li></ul>The share prices of Anil Ambani’s Reliance Communication and Reliance Naval and Engineering (RNEL) seem to be rebounding — after taking hit for most part of the year. The shares of Reliance Naval and Engineering (RNEL), which was as low as 75 paise— shot up by 10 times at ₹7.7 in 11 weeks. Its market capitalisation stood at ₹565 crore. Last financial year, RNEL recorded a net loss of ₹10,927 crore, while its revenue was at ₹180 crore. Nifty 50 broke below the 18,000 mark and Reliance Industries (RIL) contributed to nearly 30% of the fall, as at 2:40 p.m. 37 of the 50 stocks were in decline at the time. If not for the rally in automobile stocks like Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki, the fall may have been sharper. The sell-off was the worst in pharmaceuticals, banks ⁠— particularly the state-owned ones like State Bank of India (SBI) ⁠— and the energy index fell over a percent largely due to the sell off in RIL shares. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the billion dollar company that has a near monopoly in railway ticket bookings and catering, jumped 1.8% today. Reliance Industries makes for nearly a third of Nifty’s fall today ⁠— Tata Motors and Maruti beat the trend

<ul><li>After the 42nd <keyword id="6355199" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="reliance-industries">Reliance Industries</keyword> Limited (RIL) Annual General meeting yesterday, the company's stocks at trading at an 11% high today.</li><li>Chairman of RIL, <keyword id="3820" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mukesh-Ambani">Mukesh Ambani</keyword>, announced the upcoming launch of <keyword id="4056036" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jio-Fiber">Jio Fiber</keyword> and its many features which has left its competitors in a lurch.</li><li>As a result, companies like Airtel, Tata Communications, PVR cinemas and Vodafone Idea are trading in the red.</li></ul>Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) saw the biggest intraday rise in its share price today driving shares up by 12% and taking the benchmark indices like Sensex and Nifty along with it. Nearly half of all stocks on these indices are in red but heavyweight Reliance alone has managed to keep mood afloat. The spike in RIL's share price has put it back in the race of becoming the highest valued Indian company trailing behind Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) by $1 billion. Given its size, scale, its pile of cash and Ambani's deep pockets, anyone competing with Reliance Industries is expected to have a tough time. Jio Fibre, the frontier Ambani announced that <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/reliance-jio-gigafiber-launch-heres-what-it-will-offer-consumers/articleshow/70630655.cms">Jio Fiber</a> will be launching commercially starting 5 September 2019 with plans that start at ₹700 with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps. Jio's competitors, Airtel and Vodafone Idea, are already feeling the pressure with their stocks taking a dip when the markets opened today morning. But both Airtel and Vodafone Idea have more to fear than just Jio Fibre. The Aramco energy Jio's mobile phone services has about 340 million subscribers as of now. Ambani is targeting to take this number to over 500 million over the next few months. That would mean Jio will remain an aggressive player in the market and that's bad news for other players like Airtel and Vodafone Idea. Given that RIL is getting additional cash from Aramco and BP, and if it becomes a zero net debt company by March 2021, the company of its size and scale will only have more money to muscle out other players with its aggressive pricing.
