Stevenson died in Italy on Sunday, four days before his 59th birthday, his publicist confirmed with entertainment website Variety. No cause of death was available. <br /><br />In a Twitter post, Rajamouli said he was shocked to know about the Irish actor's death. <br /><br />"... Just can't believe this news. Ray brought in so much energy and vibrancy with him to the sets. It was infectious. Working with him was pure joy. My prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace," the filmmaker captioned a throwback picture with Stevenson from "RRR" sets. <br /><br />The official Twitter page of "RRR" shared a behind-the-scenes photo of the late actor filming a crucial action scene in the movie. <br /><br />"He was 56 years old when we were shooting this difficult scene but he did not hesitate while performing this stunt. We will forever cherish having you on the sets of #RRR, Ray Stevenson. Gone too soon," the tweet read. <br /><br />In his career spanning 25 years, Stevenson also played Volstagg, an Asgardian warrior in the "Thor" films and a member of the 13th Legion in the BBC/HBO drama series "Rome". <br /><br />Filmmaker <keyword id="2077056" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="james-gunn" source="Orion">James Gunn</keyword> said while he didn't work extensively with Stevenson, he has fond memories of collaborating with the actor while shooting post-credits scenes of "Thor: The Dark World" (2013). <br /><br />"Damn. So sorry to hear about the passing, far too young, of Ray Stevenson. I only knew him a little from shooting post-credits of Thor 2 &amp; a couple interactions at events, but we had some good laughs &amp; he was a joy to work with. His friends &amp; family are in my heart today," Gunn said in a tweet. <br /><br />The official Twitter page of Marvel Studios, home to "Thor" film franchise, said the actor will be missed. <br /><br />"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ray Stevenson, who brought humor and wit to the character of Volstagg. He was a wonderful actor who will be deeply missed, and our thoughts are with his family and loved ones," the studio said. <br /><br />Stevenson also did voice work in "Star Wars Rebels" and "The Clone Wars" as Gar Saxon. <br /><br />He has a role in the upcoming "Star Wars" live-action series "Ahsoka", in which he plays a villain, Baylan Skoll. Ray Stevenson brought infectious energy to film sets: S S Rajamouli

Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli's magnum opus '<keyword id="46758" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="rrr" source="Orion">RRR</keyword>', which hit the Indian screens in March 2022, was scheduled to be screened at the world's biggest IMAX theatre and the tickets for the screening got sold out in a matter of 98 seconds.<br /><br />'RRR' was screened as a part of an initiative by Beyond Fest at Los Angeles' Chinese Theatre.<br /><br />The official handle of Beyond Fest took to Twitter to share the news. Gone in 98 seconds: RRR show sold out at Chinese theatre in LA

It was a surprising revelation that he had an apprentice because none of the movies mentioned it.</p><p>When <a href="https://www.insider.com/why-to-watch-star-wars-clone-wars-2020-5">"The Clone Wars"</a> continued as a TV series, Ahsoka's training continued as the Jedi and the Republic continued to wage war against the droid armies that belonged to the Separatists. During this time, she became close with clones like Captain Rex (Dee Bradley Baker) and the Mandalorian warrior Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff). </p><p>Her friendship with Bo-Katan is largely why Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka was brought into live action back in "The Mandalorian" season two, as Bo sent <a href="https://www.insider.com/pedro-pascal-the-mandalorian-voice-fans-creepy-2023-2">Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal)</a> to look for her so that she could help train <a href="https://www.insider.com/the-mandalorian-baby-yoda-details-to-know-grogu-2023-4">Grogu</a>.</p><h2><strong>Ahsoka left the Jedi Order after being framed for bombing the Jedi Temple</strong></h2><p><strong></strong></p><div type="image" title="Ahsoka (Ashley Eckstein) leaving Anakin Skywalker (Matt Lanter) and the Jedi Order." height="1022" width="1363" msid="102955366" hostid="261"></div><p>While Ahsoka is definitely a hero, she doesn't class herself as a Jedi, and in fact, she left the Jedi Order in "The Clone Wars" season six when she was framed for bombing the temple. </p><p>The person responsible was another Jedi, Barriss Offee, who carried out the attack because she believed that the order had become corrupt — and that they were the ones actually responsible for the war with the Separatists. </p><p>While this didn't turn Ahsoka to the dark side, it <em>did</em> make her face the fact that the Jedi weren't as perfect and wholly good as they made themselves out to be, which is why she chose to leave and forge her own path.</p><h2><strong>David Tennant's Huyang is an ancient droid who helped Jedi padawans build their lightsabers</strong></h2><p><strong></strong></p><div type="image" title="David Tennant at the 2023 BAFTA Television Awards at The Royal Festival Hall on May 14, 2023 in London, and as Huyang in &quot;Ahsoka.&quot;" height="900" width="1200" msid="102955368" hostid="261"></div><p><a href="https://www.insider.com/ahsoka-star-wars-disney-plus-cast-real-life-photos-2023-8">The "Ahsoka" TV series</a> will also reintroduce "Star Wars" fans to Huyang (<a href="https://www.insider.com/david-tennant-fought-for-doctor-who-to-wear-converse-2018-10">David Tennant</a>), an ancient droid whose job it was to teach Jedi padawans how to build their own lightsabers when they were old enough. Tennant voiced the droid in "The Clone Wars" season five back in 2013.</p><p>Huyang has 25,000 years of Jedi history stored in his memory, which is pretty important because he could potentially help teach new Jedi alongside <a href="https://www.insider.com/every-star-wars-movie-ranked-worst-to-best">Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill)</a>.</p><p>The iconic hero last appeared in "The Book of Boba Fett" when he was seen building a new Jedi Order on a remote planet. Sabine was actually Ahsoka's padawan at the end of "Rebels," but the teaser trailers for "Ahsoka" hint that they went their separate ways.</p><p>The main character from "Rebels," Ezra Bridger (Esman Esfandi), is also set to cross over into live action. He was a young orphan who trained as a Jedi under Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and eventually became extremely powerful in the Force. </p><h2><strong>Ezra Bridger saved Ahsoka from Darth Vader by pulling her into the World Between Worlds</strong></h2><p><strong></strong></p><div type="image" title="Ezra Bridger (Taylor Gray), Morai the owl, and Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein) in the World Between Worlds." height="1191" width="1588" msid="102955370" hostid="261"></div><p>"Rebels" also introduced a huge new concept into the "Star Wars" galaxy with the World Between Worlds, which could only be entered through an old Jedi Temple on the planet of Lothal. </p><p>When Ezra found it, he realized that it connected all the major points of the <a href="https://www.insider.com/best-ways-to-watch-star-wars-movies">"Star Wars" timeline</a> — including a duel between Ahsoka and Darth Vader, her former master. Bridger managed to save Ahsoka from being killed by pulling her into the World Between Worlds.</p><p>Ahsoka managed to persuade Ezra that using it to save people in his life who had died could have drastic consequences because he would be changing time itself. Ultimately, they both left the bizarre realm, and kept it hidden from the Empire. But it's not impossible that it could return in live action.</p><h2><strong>Morgan Elsbeth has been working for Thrawn and previously appeared in 'The Mandalorian' season two</strong></h2><p><strong></strong></p><div type="image" title="Morgan Elsbeth (Dianna Lee Inosanto) fighting Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) in &quot;The Mandalorian&quot; season two." height="1159" width="1546" msid="102955371" hostid="261"></div><p>The trailers for the series also revealed that Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) will return, as she works alongside two mysterious Dark Side users, Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson) and Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno). </p><p>Elsbeth previously appeared in <a href="https://www.insider.com/mandalorian-season-2-details-you-missed-2020">"The Mandalorian" season two</a> when Tano was hunting Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) on the planet Corvus. While Elsbeth is a skilled fighter, Ahsoka quickly defeated her and liberated the people that Elsbeth was ruling over. </p><p>It's not clear what she was doing for Thrawn, or what their plan for the universe is besides reviving the Empire to its former strength.</p><p>Thrawn was last seen at the end of "Rebels" when Ezra Bridger used the Force to transport the Imperial villain to the opposite end of the galaxy to try and stop his schemes. Introducing Castle into the hero's orbit will likely force him to further develop his ideals and cement his place as a street-level hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.</span></p><p>This means we'll likely see a brutal showdown between the two characters, since Daredevil, while operating outside of the law, very much believes in it, and is certainly against killing. <p>The two turn over the Aether - a powerful weapon that turns matter into dark matter - to The Collector to keep it out of the wrong hands. </p>
<p>After Sif and Volstagg head out, The Collector turns to an associate saying, "One down, five to go."</p>
<p>This is the first time we're seeing Del Toro as the character since it was <a href="http://www.totalfilm.com/news/benicio-del-toro-talks-guardians-of-the-galaxy" target="_blank">announced he will play the role in the upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy" film</a>. </p>
<p><strong>What it means:</strong></p>
<p>This is the most important end-credit scene as it sets up another preview for next year's "<a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/category/guardians-of-the-galaxy" target="_blank">Guardians of the Galaxy</a>" film. </p>
<p>Sif and Volstagg mention the Aether is an Infinity Stone.</p>
<p>What is that?</p>
<p>The Infinity Stones, also known as Infinity Gems, each contain an individual specific power. When combined in a special glove called the <a href="http://marvel-movies.wikia.com/wiki/Infinity_Gauntlet" target="_blank">Infinity Gauntlet</a>, the person in possession becomes an all powerful God. As you may have guessed, there are six in total.</p>
<p><a href="http://marvel-movies.wikia.com/wiki/Tesseract" target="_blank">The Tesseract</a> - what Loki was after in "The Avengers" film - is another Infinity Stone. Claiming they don't want two Infinity Stones in one location on Asgard, the duo deliver the Aether to <span style="line-height: 1.5em;">The Collector.</span></p>
<p>Knowing this, now re-watch the end-credits scene after last year's "The Avengers."</p>

<p><strong>So, what's this guy's deal? Why does he collect things?</strong></p>

He has a few powers including the ability to change his size and strength and some telepathic powers. <span style="line-height: 1.5em;">In addition, he's a precog, meaning he can see the future.</span></p>
<p>Though he looks pretty evil, he's not really an all-out villain as opposed to someone who looks out for his best interests.</p>
<p>After losing both his wife and daughter, he decided to start collecting both living things and rare objects after a vision showed him someone would one day come to power and try to destroy life as we know it in the universe.</p>
<h2><strong>The Second Scene</strong></h2>

After getting clearance from "his father" the King of Asgard (Loki in disguise), Thor heads back to Earth to join his love Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and settle into a more (boring?) mortal life. We also see a monster still frolicking around London.</p>
<p><strong>What this means:</strong></p>
<p>The big takeaway here is that Thor is hanging up his cape and hammer for a simpler life. This is very similar to the ending of "Iron Man 3" in which Tony Stark decided to retire from the superhero life.</p>
<p>In the future, we wouldn't be surprised to see <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/captain-america-the-winter-soldier-first-trailer-2013-10" target="_blank">Captain America</a> also hang up his shield and suit in the next film our next April. </p>
<p>For "The Avengers 2" it means that <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/category/agents-of-shield" target="_blank">S.H.I.E.L.D.</a> or someone would have to convince all the Avengers to come out of "retirement" to save the world once again.</p>
