All its production units are located in one geographic area and therefore, any localized social unrest or natural disaster can affect its business and financial condition. It also operates in a highly competitive and fragmented industry with low barriers to entry. It has experienced negative cash flows in relation to its operating, investing and financing activities in the last three financial years. They have entered into related party transactions in the past and may continue to do so in the future. Its promoter has provided personal guarantee for loans availed by the company, and any default can adversely affect the promoter’s ability to manage the affairs. Apart from this, three more companies -- SaaS platform Unicommerce eSolutions, Maharashtra-based Gala Precision Engineering and Interarch Building Products -- obtained the regulator's nod to float the initial share sale. These companies -- who filed their preliminary IPO papers with Sebi between January and May 2024 -- obtained the regulator's observations during June 25-28, according to the update. In Sebi's parlance, obtaining its observations means its approval to float the public issue. According to the fresh draft red herring prospectus (DRHP), Pune-based Brainbees Solutions' proposed IPO is a combination of a fresh issue of equity shares, aggregating up to Rs 1,816 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 5.44 crore equity shares by existing shareholders. Under the OFS, SVF Frog, a Cayman Islands-registered entity of <keyword id="19944037" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Softbank" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Softbank" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="Softbank">Softbank</keyword>, will sell 2.03 crore equity shares of Brainbees Solutions Ltd, and automaker Mahindra &amp; Mahindra (M&amp;M) will offload 28.06 lakh shares of the company. Currently, Softbank holds a 25.55 per cent stake in Brainbees Solutions, and M&amp;M owns a 10.98 per cent stake in the multi-brand retailing platform. Apart from Softbank and M&amp;M, other entities selling shares in the OFS are PI Opportunities Fund, TPG, NewQuest Asia Investments, Apricot Investments, Valiant Mauritius, TIMF Holdings, Think India Opportunities Fund and Schroders Capital. Brainbees Solutions re-filed preliminary papers with Sebi in May after the company was directed by the regulator to re-file the draft papers, citing insufficient disclosure of key performance indicators (KPIs), market sources had said. The company's key performance indicators include its number of orders, average order value and annual transacting customers. Unicommerce's issue is entirely an offer for sale (OFS) aggregating up to 2.98 crore equity shares by the selling shareholders. Under the OFS, SB Investment Holdings (UK) Ltd, an affiliate of Japan's SoftBank, will offload 1.61 crore shares, promoter AceVector Limited (formerly known as Snapdeal Limited) will sell up to 1.14 crore shares, and B2 Capital Partners will be selling up to 22 lakh shares. Proceeds from the fresh issue will be utilised towards strategic investments, acquisitions, and inorganic growth, customer acquisition and retention, technology, and other organic growth initiatives and general corporate purposes. The company claims to be India’s largest corporate travel services provider in terms of number of corporate clients. It is the third largest online travel company in India among key online travel agency (OTA) players in terms of gross booking revenue and operating revenue for FY23. The company’s revenues have been growing steadily for the last three years and has turned profitable in FY23, after cutting its losses progressively over two years. At the upper price band, the company is valued at a market-cap to sales ratio of 5.8 times as per its FY23 earnings. Its peer EaseMyTrip is valued at 15.7 times, as per Anand Rathi Securities. “We believe that for Yatra there is a scope of business improvement on the back of industry tailwinds, brand recall and business scalability, resulting in expansion of the EBITDA margin from here on,” the report said, adding that it recommends a ‘subscribe’ rating for the long term.

It claims to be a leading player in spend management, with more than 50 million prepaid cards issued in partnership with banks and more than 2.27 million users served, as of March 31, 2023. It has diverse offerings like fintech products and services, and a portfolio of SaaS, including tax and payroll software, it said in its RHP. Its profits in FY23 fell by 45% in FY23, as compared to the year before. It also experienced negative operating cash flows of ₹15.6 crore in FY23 primarily due to an increase in trade receivables of ₹58 crore. Its revenues, however, have been steadily growing due to increases in user base, accompanied by an increase in spending by the users. An increase in program fees received due to an overall increase in business scale also aided the growth. “Several factors contribute to its appeal, including a diverse client base spanning various industries, consistent revenue growth over the years, the company's expansion strategies, a diversified revenue model, and the flourishing digital payments sector,” said a report by Geojit which gave a subscribe recommendation on a short- to medium-term basis.

QIB rush. The IPO which is the first from the steel to power conglomerate in 13 years, was subscribed 37 times over the shares on offer. The Qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) rushed into bid for the offer on the last day as this portion was subscribed 57 times. Retail and non-institutional investor portions received good response. The offer, unlike most others, is a completely fresh issue. The second largest private port operator in the country intends to use the proceeds to pay loans. The rest will be used towards capex to commission and expand projects, besides general corporate purposes. The offer fixed a price band of ₹113-119 per equity share. Long-term play say analysts The company expanded from one port in Mormugao in 2002 to nine ports as of June, 2023. Its ports are present in Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka on the west coast, and Odisha and Tamil Nadu on the east coast. It also operates two port terminals under operations &amp; maintenance agreements in Fujairah Terminal and Dibba Port in the UAE. It also plans to expand its operations through brownfield and greenfield projects. It also has a third party cargo business in India and witnessed a compounded annual growth rate of 65% between FY21 to FY23. The company’s revenues and profits have been steadily growing for the last three years. Its total debt as of June 2034 is at ₹4,228 crore. “JSW Infra is well-positioned to benefit from the continued growth of the Indian economy. We think the company has diversified its cargo profile and geographical spread which have helped them to minimise the risk and ensure stability,said Prashanth Tapse, senior VP of research at Mehta Equities which recommends investors to ‘subscribe for long term’. “We like the way the company is strategically focusing on expanding its footprint in non-major ports which would help them to broaden their operations to provide fully integrated logistics solutions,”’ Tapse adds. An IPO note by Anand Rathi also says that JSW Infrastructure has strategically located assets at close proximity to JSW group customers and industrial clusters supported by a multi-modal evacuation infrastructure and predictable revenues. “At the upper price band, the company is valuing at P/E of 27x, with a marketcap of ₹2,49,900 million post issue of equity shares and return on net worth of 18.8%. We believe that valuations of the company are fairly priced and recommend a ‘subscribe-long term’ rating to the IPO,” said Anand Rathi.

The report, prepared by the <keyword id="20068545" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="biotechnology" source="keywords">Biotechnology</keyword> Industry Research Assistance Council (<keyword id="22722619" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="BIRAC" source="keywords">BIRAC</keyword>) and the Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE), outlines transformative advances across biotechnology, agricultural innovation, healthcare, and <keyword id="22906123" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="biomanufacturing" source="keywords">biomanufacturing</keyword>, driving the sector's expansion. It was released during a session at the Global Bio-India Summit 2024. The report said that India's bioeconomy has experienced significant growth, reaching a valuation of USD 151 billion by the end of 2023. "This surge highlights the bioeconomy's critical role in national development, contributing 4.25 per cent to the country's GDP and positioning India among the top five global bioeconomies," it said. One of the major drivers of this growth has been the BioE3 (Biotechnology for Economy, Environment, and Employment) Policy, the report said, noting that the policy focuses on bio-based chemicals, precision biotherapeutics, climate-resilient agriculture, and advanced research in marine and space technologies. Rajesh S Gokhale, Secretary DBT, Chairman BIRAC &amp; DG-BRIC said the India bioeconomy report 2024, launched at the 4th edition of Global Bio India, marks a pivotal moment in India's journey to becoming a global leader in biotechnology. "The report underscores India's bioeconomy growth from USD 10 billion in 2014 to USD 151 billion by 2023, driven by rising demand for vaccines and biopharmaceuticals. With the new BioE3 Policy, we are poised to accelerate this momentum, aiming to reach USD 300 billion by 2030. This report sets the foundation for India's bio-revolution and highlights our path towards global leadership in biotechnology," Gokhale told PTI. The report also emphasises the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in biomanufacturing, with plans to create biomanufacturing and Bio-AI hubs. These efforts are expected to create new employment opportunities, particularly in tier-II and tier-III cities, while supporting the integration of biotechnology across various industries, the report said. The Bioindustrial sector remains the largest contributor to India's bioeconomy, accounting for USD 72.6 billion or 48.09 per cent of the total market, the report said. This sector includes biofuels, bioplastics, and enzymatic applications in industries such as textiles and detergents. Biofuels, in particular, have seen a sharp rise, with ethanol production capacity increasing to 13.8 billion litres in 2023, making India the world's third-largest producer of ethanol. The Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) programme, which promotes domestic ethanol production, has been central to reducing India's dependency on imported fuels and enhancing energy security, the report added. The biopharma sector also saw impressive growth, contributing USD 53.8 billion or 35.65 per cent to the bioeconomy. India's vaccine manufacturing capacity continues to be a global leader, with companies like Serum Institute of India (SII) producing over 3 billion doses annually. Major breakthroughs, such as the R21/Matrix-M malaria vaccine and India's first quadrivalent Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, have highlighted India's prowess in vaccine production. The diagnostics and medical devices segment, which grew to USD 19.4 billion, has also played a crucial role in addressing healthcare challenges, particularly through advancements in early disease detection and personalized medicine, the report said. In the bioagri sector, which accounted for USD 12.44 billion (8.24 per cent), agricultural biotechnology continues to drive innovations in sustainable farming practices. Precision agriculture technologies, such as genetically modified crops and bio-based products like biopesticides, are being increasingly adopted to enhance agricultural productivity. "Bt cotton remains a key example of how biotechnology is improving crop resilience and yields, contributing to sustainable agriculture growth in India," the report said. India's bioservices sector, valued at USD 12.1 billion (8.02 per cent), has emerged as a critical support system for the bioeconomy, providing contract research, clinical trials, and biotech software services, the report said. "This segment grew by 30 per cent in 2023, reflecting India's expanding role as a global hub for research and development. The sector's growth is expected to continue, with increasing demand for outsourced research and specialised bioservices that help accelerate product commercialisation," the report added. Looking ahead, the report said India's bioeconomy is expected to continue its robust expansion, targeting a valuation of USD 300 billion by 2030. "This growth will be driven by advancements in sectors like bioindustrial, biopharma, and bioagri, along with strategic government policies such as the BioE3 initiative. The bioeconomy is also projected to support over 35,000 startups and create 35 million jobs by the end of the decade, underscoring its potential as a key driver of India's sustainable development and economic growth," it said. For the financial year ended March 2023, SSKL reported a total revenue of ₹1,351 crore with a net profit of ₹97.6 crore. “Sai Silk (Kalamandir) is a leading apparel retail brand in India with a scalable model, which is well positioned to leverage growth in the ethnic and value-fashion apparel industry in India with a track record of growth, profitability, and unit economics with an efficient operating model,” said a research report by Anand Rathi. At the upper price band, the company was valued at P/E of 33x and market cap of ₹3,404 crore post issue of equity shares and return on net worth of 24.56%, said the research firm, which gave it a subscribe for long-term rating to the IPO.
