People hate the effort of getting up and going to a gym and that’s where half the battle is lost. Our idea was to build a community and make fitness fun and different,” he said. Sohfit has become popular for its 21-day and 40-day challenges that are a hit on Instagram, which started in April, 2019. “We wanted to educate people with the right kind of knowledge, there’s just a lot of rubbish about food and dietary requirements and we wanted to clear the air. The idea was to not make fitness a number-based thing, where only if you lose weight you are fit,” he said. For the challenges, it isn’t just something where one follows a routine seen on Instagram. Khushrushahi said that during the pandemic, as people started taking their health more seriously, their numbers also grew. “We saw the numbers stay high during the pandemic. And it also helped that celebrities like Alia Bhatt further promoted the challenge on social media. Mumbai, Jul 12 () Designer Riddhima Kapoor Sahni has slammed rumours that her mother Neetu Kapoor and brother, actor Ranbir Kapoor, have tested positive for COVID-19 and asked people to not spread misinformation. Soon after megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for COVID-19 and were admitted to a city hospital on Saturday, rumours started to spread that even Neetu and the "Sanju" actor are infected with the novel coronavirus. Dismissing the reports, Riddhima told , "Obviously not (true). Please stop spreading fake rumours. At least not at this time, would appreciate." Social media was abuzz with a tweet which claimed the Bachchans, who are at Nanavati Hospital, got the virus after Amitabh's grandson, Agastya Nanda, attended a birthday party hosted by Riddhima. The fashion designer also took to Instagram and called the claim baseless. "Attention seeking? Least verify/clarify! We are fit. We are good! Stop spreading rumours! #lunatics," she wrote . Amitabh and Abhishek on Saturday said that they had tested positive for COVID-19 and have been admitted to Nanavati hospital. "I have tested COVID positive. Shifted to Hospital. Hospital informing authorities, family and staff undergone tests, results awaited," Amitabh, 77, posted on Twitter. "All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested," he added. Abhishek, 44, said both his father and he had mild symptoms and requested everybody to be calm and not panic. Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Rishi Kapoor — the romance king of the 80's and Bollywood's beloved 'Chintu' — passes away at 67

Growing up as a star kid surrounded by parents who’re not only famous Bollywood actors, but are also worshipped by people nationwide can be as daunting a experience as it can be extraordinary.

Five star kids who've said no to acting in Bollywood movies

<ul><li>The <keyword id="1136682" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Union-Ministry-of-Labour-and-Employment">Union Ministry of Labour and Employment</keyword> is working on new <keyword id="2853042" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Labour-codes">labour codes</keyword> which will make way for a three-day weekend.</li><li>A survey conducted in 2020 showed that Indian employees feel a four-day workweek concept is at least five years away.</li><li>Especially given that employees are made to work beyond five days in a week in today’s corporate set-up.</li></ul>The Indian government might soon allow companies to go ahead with a four-day work week. The Union Ministry of Labour and Employment is working on new labour codes which will make way for a three-day weekend, but will keep the <keyword id="73926" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Working-hours">working hours</keyword> at 48 hours a week, which means employees might be subject to long days. “Companies will have to give three days’ of paid leaves and 12 hours of work per day to their employees with the consent of the workers. We are not forcing employees or employers. It gives flexibility. It’s an enabling provision in sync with the changing work culture. We have tried to make some changes. We have tried to give flexibility in working days,” said <a href="https://www.news18.com/news/business/new-labour-codes-may-allow-4-day-work-week-but-with-longer-hours-3408323.html">Labour and Employment Ministry </a>Secretary Apurva Chandra. A <a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/company/corporate-trends/growing-call-for-four-day-work-week-as-india-inc-employees-work-overtime/articleshow/74667625.cms?from=mdr">survey</a> conducted in 2020 showed that employees feel a four-day work week concept is at least five years away in India. Especially, given that employees, in many cases, are made to work beyond five days in a week currently. In India, employees work way beyond 48 hours a week – crossing the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) norms of working. According to the labour standards. “the general standard is 48 regular hours of work per week, with a maximum of eight hours per day.” says the ILO website. The changes will be a part of the new labour codes, whose draft rules are being formulated by the government. It will also provide free medical check-ups to workers through the Employees State Insurance Corporation, according to <a href="https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/new-labour-codes-to-allow-4-day-work-week/article33784975.ece">reports.</a> The four-day work week is not a new topic. It started off as a debate in Germany when the country’s largest trade union – IG Metall, called for a four-day week in 2020. And this, even when Germany already has the lowest working hours in a week at 34.2 hours. Then came Microsoft's experiment in 2019 in its Japan office, where <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/tech/news/microsoft-experimented-with-a-4-day-work-week-in-its-japan-office-and-productivity-jumped-by-40/articleshow/71901595.cms">productivity jumped by 40%,</a> as a four-day week made for the perfect work-life balance. And it wasn’t just great for the employees; the number of pages printed was down, electricity consumption was a lot less as well. A World Economic Forum survey of businesses that had implemented the policy showed that it can help companies “make savings of almost £92 billion (around 2% of total turnover) each year”. But there are also challenges said the WEF survey, especially, in the service sector where four days might not be enough to meet consumer expectations and demands. <ul><li><keyword id="10730402" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="indian-space-startup-agnikul">Indian space startup Agnikul</keyword> Cosmos has become the world’s first company to successfully test a fully <keyword id="3176690" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="3D-printed-rocket-engine">3D printed rocket engine</keyword>.</li><li>It only takes four days to produce and can carry payloads of upto 100 kilos into lower earth orbit (LEO).</li><li>While the first company to be successful in such an endeavour, there are others who are fast catching up and realise the value of 3D printed engines versus conventional assembly.</li></ul>Rocket engines are tough to build, and they’re even tougher to 3D print because all the details have to be ‘just right’ for the rocket to work successfully. But, an <keyword id="10031551" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="indian-space-startup">Indian space startup</keyword> based out of Chennai has pulled off this mammothian task. <keyword id="7122982" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="agnikul-cosmos">Agnikul Cosmos</keyword> has successfully fired its higher stage semi-cryogenic <keyword id="413298" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rocket-engine">rocket engine</keyword> called Agnilet. “This entire engine, Agnilet, is just one piece of hardware from start to finish and has zero assembled parts,” said co-founder and CEO Srinath Ravichandran. <div type="javascript" title="Custom" contenttype="Video"><cdata><![CDATA[]]></cdata></div> Normally, rocket engines have 100s of different parts that have to be built individually. This includes things like injectors which inject fuel into the engine, cooling channels that ensure the engine doesn’t overheat and the igniter which actually kindles propellants to push the rocket off the ground. Agnilet, on the other hand, is a three-in-one solution. It takes all three of these modules and puts them into a single piece of hardware. There is no complex assembly and the turnaround time for the entire setup is less than four days. The rocket engine is capable of carrying upto 100 kilos to low earth orbit (LEO), which is around 700 kilometers above the Earth’s surface. That’s only a fraction of what the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) is capable of and possibly only enough to carry a single satellite at most. Agnikul may be the first to be successful, but it’s not alone Agnikul was the first <keyword id="3081463" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-space">Indian space</keyword> startup to enter into a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with the Department of Space (DoS) under the newly established Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe). <div type="image" title="Agnilet - Agnibaan’s higher stage semicryogenic engine(1)" msid="80763882" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Agnilet - Agnibaan’s higher stage semicryogenic engine&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> Another space startup that’s hot its heels is Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace founded by former Indian Space Research Organisation (<keyword id="6358064" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="isro">ISRO</keyword>) scientists Pawan Kumar Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka. In September last year, they too revealed their fully 3D printer cryogenic rocket engine dubbed Dhawan-I. Dhawan-I will be used to power the Vikram-II rocket, which Skyroot is also building from scratch. The startup entered an NDA with the DoS earlier this month on February 2. They will be able to use ISRO’s test and launch facilities to test their Vikram-I rocket and eventually Dhawan-I as well. The global space industry is expected to generate $1.1 trillion or more by 2040, according to <a href="https://www.morganstanley.com/ideas/investing-in-space">Morgan Stanley</a> — more than triple its current value of $350 billion. And, new space engine technology like 3D printed rocket engines are expected to play a big role in this explosion of value. But even international players like Elon Musk’s SpaceX, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), <a href="https://3dprint.com/278184/startup-accelerator-ursa-major-is-3d-printing-rocket-engines-to-grow-space-economy/">Ursa Major</a> and Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin are only 3D printing components for rocket engines. This means that putting together these engines and making sure they work is still a fairly complicated task. The only US-based startup close to producing a fully 3D printed rocket engine is <a href="https://manufactur3dmag.com/firehawk-aerospace-raises-2-million-for-3d-printed-rocket-engines/">Firehawk Aerospace</a>, and they only just raised the $2 million needed to start on their project. Indian space startup fires world’s first fully 3D printed rocket engine as others play catch up

<ul><li>If you did not file your tax returns in 2018-19, you may be stuck in pickle this season and have to pay double the applicable rate or 5%, whichever is higher.</li><li>This rule shall come into force starting 1 July 2021.</li><li>Deductors will now have to ask for proof of ITR submission for the last two years, increasing the burden of compliance, according to Archit Gupta, the founder and CEO of ClearTax.</li></ul>“Suppose you are making payment to a contractor. And, when you’re getting the work executed, you’re supposed to deduct TDS at 2% — that’s the normal rate. If I made a payment of ₹ 1 crore, I deducted TDS of ₹2 lakh and deposited it in his account.,” explained Ved Jain, former President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) told Business Insider. “Starting from December 2021-22, I will ask him if he has filed returns for the last two years or not. For years 2018-19 and 2019-20. If he has filed for any of these, I will continue to deduct 2%. But, if he has not filed returns of the last two years, then I need to deduct at 5%,” he said. This provision has been brought in by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the latest budget to tighten the leash on those who haven’t filed their <keyword id="6355828" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="income-tax-returns">income tax returns</keyword>. This new provision comes into effect from 1 July 2021. However, it may be the case that some of the stick may hit those making the payment to the lax taxpayer, and therefore collecting the tax at source. The burden of compliance is on the the person⁠— who may be a prompt filer of returns⁠— deducting the tax. Some will have no choice but to pay double the tax The new proposal means that those who haven’t filed their tax returns in 2018-19 and 2019-20 may be in trouble. Some corporates already take a declaration, before processing payments, from their usual vendors that they have filed their returns. For transactions involving individuals, like contractors, artists and freelancers, and businesses in the unorganised sector, the situation is a little more complicated. How do you know if the person you are transacting with has filed returns? Deductors can check whether or not returns have been filed on the Income Tax Department’s official website. There is a utility available where the PAN number can be given, and deductors can check the last returns filed by an individual. “That utility is in the public domain,” said Jain. <div type="image" title="Form 26AS" msid="80765867" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Sample of Form 26AS&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> Wherever TDS or TCS applies, it should automatically come in Form 26AS and return filing could be ascertained through it. But it is still easier said than done for most people. "This is an additional burden of compliance for deductors. No additional remedy has been provided for cases where ITR filing was not applicable in the two previous years. Taxpayers who foresee facing this issue should prepare to file ITR for FY 2020-21 in due course," Archit Gupta, founder and CEO, ClearTax told Business Insider. Unanswered questions about the new TDS rule* The primary challenge that emerges from the proposed amendment is the ability of the deductor to determine whether the deductee or collectee has filed their income tax returns for the previous two years, according to <a href="https://www.taxmann.com/budget-2021-22/budget-story/154/are-you-a-non-filer%3F-tds%2Ftcs-on-non-filers-at-higher-rates">Taxmann</a>. The onus will also be on the deductor to determine whether the aggregate TDS and TCS over the last two years was more or less than ₹50,000. Another uncertainty is whether the deductee was mandatorily required to furnish their income tax return. For instance, individuals who don’t fall under any taxable bracket or if they are an NRI earning only dividend, interest, royalty or fees for technical services — as specified in section 115A of the Act — will they also be penalised for not submitting their TDS or TCS over the last two years. Taxmann points out that in cases where the due date of filing of return has not expired, should a deductor obtain a declaration from the deductee that the income-tax return will be filed within the prescribed due date and will such declaration be admissible? “It is also possible that the deductee or collectee may refrain from furnishing particulars of their income tax return with the deductors/clients. As a result, the onus of gathering information from the deductee or collectee shall trammel the deductors from ease of functioning and may impose additional compliances in terms of revision of e-TDS returns in case the information is retrieved belatedly from the deductee,” says Taxmann. During the lockdown, Pepsi also shifted its marketing monnies to digital media and is now slowly getting back to its 360-degree approach. The cola brand has constantly reinvented itself to create experiences that connect with consumer passions, be it Bollywood, Music or Sports and this year, it would continue to focus on the same areas. Sharing some of the focus areas for this year, PepsiCo’s spokesperson said, “Driving consumer awareness and engagement through effective advertising has always been our priority. In 2020, we launched digital-first campaigns given online content consumption was at an all-time high. This year, with the external environment slowly opening up, our intent is to elevate our marketing game a notch higher to create a 360-degree surround. We will be pivoting our brand communication across mass pillars of choice like entertainment, sports, music and gaming through multiple mediums to reach consumers across the country. While we shall continue to leverage digital platforms, we shall also leverage other mediums especially TV and outdoor as they are gaining prominence.”
