A leading strategy consultant Ram Charan has highlighted that firm needs to think about growth with profitability for sustainability. 
“Exploring bigger picture involves thinking beyond short-term interests of external stakeholders, such as consultants, financiers,” said Prof. Kiran Momaya of Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay.

Ratan Tata-backed energy distribution startup <keyword id="1598562" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="repos" source="Orion">Repos</keyword> is expected to grow by close to three-fold to Rs 185 crore in the current fiscal on account of increased traction for its service among business-to-business clients, a top official of the firm said. <keyword id="8449067" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="repos-energy" source="Orion">Repos Energy</keyword> founder and CVO Aditi Bhosale Walunj told PTI at the Auto Expo 2023 that the company is in the process of raising Rs 300 crore to fund expansion of business across India as well as a platform to offer carbon-neutral fuels such as ethanol and electric vehicle chargers. "We have been fortunate enough to have Mr Ratan Tata as our initial investor. Last fiscal year we did business of Rs 65 crore. Our business has been growing multifold. This fiscal we expect our top line to be around Rs 185 crore," Walunj said. She said that the company's fuel distribution platform is mainly built around the delivery of diesel but it is now adding new fuels to the platforms to make it available at the doorsteps of end consumers with the help of technology. "Like ATMs, we are providing mobile fuel stations. It is helpful for enterprises to get fuel at the doorstep, check fuel theft, monitor fuel consumption etc. We are now present in 280 cities across India where we have deployed over 2,000 mobile fuel stations. Now we are in the process of raising Rs 300 crore which we will use to further expand our presence and develop technology for the distribution of carbon neutral fuels," Walunj said. Repos recently onboarded management expert Ram Charan on its advisory board for mentoring the company towards growth path. One of the reasons that the HR heads are shifting loyalties can be that they want more recognition and motivation at work. 
 
According to industry experts, HR heads are looking for more challenging roles or bigger brands. While for others, it was their inability to adapt to the organisational culture. 
 
"Often HR heads think they can make drastic changes very early on in the new company but that is not possible. They do not realise that company culture was built over decades by the promoter family and they will have to work with their coterie and not topple them," said a research firm executive. 
 But, as per an <keyword id="6392746" type="POSITION" weightage="100" keywordseo="HR-Head">HR head</keyword>, who recently quit a prominent business group, revealed companies need the best HR leaders to help them navigate through today's complex <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=talent">talent</a> scenario but they aren't always receptive to changes. 
 
"While their sales pitch is great, companies are unwilling to really go along with professional advice. Or old coteries make professional HR a strain. Worst, HR heads get blamed as an easy scapegoat. With more opportunities, they cut their losses rather than waste their time," the HR head added. 
 
A recent article published in the Harvard Business Review had Ram Charan, Dominic Barton and Dennis Carey explaining the demand in quality HR talent - those moving out and companies eager to get them onboard. 
 In the last few months alone, there have been exits galore - many of them high-profile. In July, Prabir Jha, CHRO of <keyword id="6355199" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Reliance-Industries">Reliance Industries</keyword> quit – it was recently reported that he is set to join Cipla soon - while earlier this month, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=vedanta+group">Vedanta Group</a> HR head Rajesh Padmanabhan put in his papers. 
 
Another headhunter said that the next stage would be a generational shift. “After all these senior seasoned HR leaders, there is a generational shift that is bound to happen," the head added.
