“Looking for a girlfriend. Interested people please drop me a direct message. ‪#‎Lazy” read his FB post, which got 355 likes and 19 comments in just 5 minutes.

His followers suggested him to join Tinder. 
 
Recently, he also posted pictures of his apartment, saying he was vacating it as he could not afford its rent anymore. 
 
Mumbai-based online realty platform, Housing.com, had released its CEO Rahul Yadav, with immediate effect, after a regular board meeting. 
The Housing Board, unanimously agreed to bring Yadav's tenure to a close, with reference to his behaviour towards investors, ecosystem and the media. 
 
The Board believed that his behaviour is not befitting of a CEO and is detrimental to the company, known for its innovative approach to product development, market expansion and brand building.

 Yadav’s <keyword id="6354576" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Facebook">Facebook</keyword> post went viral and got more than 1,000 likes, 40 comments and 130 shares in just around 9 hours. It reads, “Now I challenge Deepinder Goyal of Zomato and Bhavish Aggarwal of Olacabs to continue this noble act and give away HALF (not full) OF THEIR SHARES to their employees. And I hope both of them spread the nominations further." 
 Goyal replied, "Aww, so cute," while Aggarwal posted, "Give that man a cookie," along with a picture of US President <keyword id="15962" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Barack-Obama">Barack Obama</keyword>. 
 
Yadav pulled off the stunt to apparently prove he was not there for the money. He currently owns only 4.57% of Housing.com. 
 
Social media has been abuzz over the past few weeks given Yadav’s antics. First it was the much hyped resignation, closely followed by the equally public withdrawal, and finally giving away all his shares to employees. Most thought that was the end, but he’s not done. Now he’s daring other CEOs to do a Yadav. Clearly there’s no escaping his theatricality.

This hope has come in the form of <keyword id="1133262" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Youwecan">YouWeCan</keyword> ventures, a <keyword id="351" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Yuvraj-Singh">Yuvraj Singh</keyword> initiative. The start-up aims to improve efficiency in governance. 
 "Proud to back Rahul Yadav and Intelligent Interfaces (ii) in helping the Government govern 100x better with the help of technology. Get ready for the (r)evolution!," Yuvraj Singh posted on his Facebook account, along with an image showing himself with Yadav and <keyword id="3190239" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Azeem-Zainulbhai">Azeem Zainulbhai</keyword>, Yadav’s co-founder. 
 
The details of the investments have not been disclosed by Yadav or Singh. 
 
The last we knew, Flipkart co-founders Sachin and Binny Bansal had made an undisclosed investment in Singh’s new venture. 
 Regarding YouWeCan, the venture was launched in April this year as a $10-million seedstage venture capital fund. He co-founded it with <keyword id="2926011" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Nishant-Singhal">Nishant Singhal</keyword>, with an aim to back internet start-ups in the country.

Rahul Yadav, the ex-CEO of real-estate portal Housing.com, posted a Facebook status about the same, seeking advice from his friends and followers about whether he should consider doing the show or not. We also need to wonder whether Sukhvinder Kaur would be able to go inside the Bigg Boss house. With a number of court cases against her, wouldn’t she be summoned to court within the three months that the show would run? 
 
Talking of Shiney Ahuja who is making a comeback to the silver screen six years after he was accused of rape by his housemaid, he too can be summoned to the court, given that his case has not been heard in the High Court yet. 
 
What remains to be seen is whether these lists are real or not, because if it is, the season is going to be really different from what the viewers have seen in the past.

The Bigg Boss list is not confirmed yet! Rahul Yadav in two minds

"Thinking of giving up on entrepreneurship and do a simple job. Will take decision by this weekend," Yadav, often dubbed as the bad boy of Indian startups, said in a Facebook post. 
 
The post comes barely days after Yadav said his second venture had failed to take off 
 
"Intelligent Interfaces (II) for government is not working out. Should I make it for enterprises or come back to real estate," Yadav posted. 
 
Intelligent Interfaces had the backing of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=flipkart&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Flipkart </a>founders Sachin and <keyword id="6364080" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Binny-Bansal">Binny Bansal</keyword> and cricketer Yuvraj Singh. "A 100x company needs a 100x team," Yadav had said in December after Singh came on board, adding that his new firm aimed at bringing efficiencies in the process of Indian government. 
 
However, at the moment, Yadav, it seems, is not happy with how the whole thing panned out. "Out of all big countries, we're the last in terms of development and quality of life (please don't compare with Africa, Bangladesh etc)...Before this country could even start its economic growth, its metro cities have already given up (traffic jams in Bangalore, odd -even rule in Delhi, Pollution level in metro cities)," Yadav said. 
 
"Forget catching up to US or China...I really don't know how to deal with stupid people. Be it Housing board members or these journalists. I just don't". 
 
Yadav in another Facebook post claimed the government experience had left him bitter. 
 
"Why Intelligent Interfaces is not working out because no government official is willing to take any decision in Delhi. All are afraid that even if even if they try to do something good, possibility is that they will be dragged in some sort of favoritism case by this country's stupid media. Hence nobody wants to take any call even when they realise it's a sensible solution." 
 
Yadav was reacting to a recent report that claimed that IIT dropout had only managed to raise Rs 3 crore against his assumed valuation of Rs 170 crore for Intelligent Interfaces. The report further claimed that of the Rs 3 crore, Yadav spent Rs 1.5 crore for a trip to the US.

A nasty resignation email, a subsequent U-turn, controversial profile picture on Facebook, pledging all of his shares to employees and then challenging Olacabs and Zomato CEOs to give away half of their shares to employees—Rahul seems to be in no mood to stop. But "There is no smoke without fire". So why would an India Inc leader indulge in dramatics without any motive—unless that motive is marketing. Yes, we, at BI India, believe this latest slew of dramatics from <keyword id="2837720" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Housing-com-CEO">Housing.com CEO</keyword> Rahul Yadav just proves that the man is a <keyword id="2855162" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Marketing-genius">marketing genius</keyword>. Here is why. 
	 

	1. He talks and thinks out loud! While leaders of most corporate groups keep their thoughts to themselves unless they have articulated a better way to express them, Rahul is one leader who has his own ways of expressing his anger, delight or even high-headedness. And when he expresses, he comes across as a spoilt, aggressive brat, who does his thinking and talking aloud. His aggressiveness makes him a controversy magnet; and controversies are not always that bad we say. 
 

	2. He knows the tact of selling: Speaking your own mind is one thing, but being heard (and paid attention to) is another, however, a marketing genius is born with the art. He/she knows how to sell intangibles, and this 26 year old hailing from a humble background is just so good at it. In the last three years, since the incepton of Housing.com, it is Rahul who worked dedicatedly to grab investors' attention and the end result is for us to see: SoftBank (32% stake), Nexus Ventures (19%), Heloion Ventures (10%) and Faclcon Edge (10%) have all put in their money in Rahul's dream venture—Housing.com. 
	 

	3. He challenges the wisdom and competitors without any inhibitions. He is the Kejriwal of the corporate world—a man who dares speak his mind without minding his language or acts. And he defines this trait of his as his style. "I don't care about what the perception and all is...this is our style," he told Quartz when they questioned his blunt resignation letter. Then in another interesting turn of events, he gave up all of his shares in the company and distributed it to his employees. While the world was still getting a hang of his sudden transformation of the badass corporate, he bounced back to his aggressive self and threw an open challenge to Zomato and Olacabs CEOs and asked them to give away half (not full) of their shares to their employees. He made this challenge on his Facebook wall. 
	 

	4. He repeats, repeats and repeats himself often! Repetition sells and marketing geniuses know that. Rahul is no exception. Two areas where we feel he has repeated himself exceptionally well are: in fetching investments and in creating controversies. It is the latter that forces one to notice Rahul no matter what. Controversies that he has created in the recent past include: his threatening email to Sequoia Cap, which he believed was brainwashing Housing.com employees to open their own incubation; his blunt resignation email to shareholders; his Facebook profile pic in which he was showing his middle finger; his sudden transformation from a badass corporate to a saint who gave up all his shares and gifted them to his employees; and then it was his open challenge to Zomato and Olacabs CEOs.

According to MCA documents accessed by Inc42, the company raised some Rs. 3.1 crores at a valuation of Rs. 170 crores, while some reports pegged that figure at millions. 
 
Yadav’s second venture created a lot of buzz in the startup scene after his dramatic exit from Housing.

Ex-Housing CEO Rahul Yadav admits his new startup Intelligent Interfaces isn’t working

Rahul Yadav has been kicked out of realty portal Housing.com. This is the end of the story. But the story that began with an ambitious youngster (read IIT dropout) founding a company that would make the established rivals sweat in competition and gradually attaining the status of corporate drama prince is something that needs serious analysis. 
 
The Economic Times in a news has asked ‘Had Rahul Yadav lost interest in Housing?’ 
 
Fond of controversy, Rahul may have lost actual interest in the business. "The guy is good. But he doesn't have the interests of his own company in mind, as he has now said that it is not interesting for him to solve the housing problem,” a venture capital investor told the ET. 
 
Even until a day earlier, Yadav was denying reports of his ouster or that online classifieds company Quikr was in talks to acquire Housing. 
 
The ET report further elaborates, Yadav has been openly contemptuous of rival organisations and people he perceives to have crossed his path. Things began to go haywire for him in March when he wrote an incendiary email to Sequoia India managing director Shailendra Singh, ostensibly because the venture capital firm poached an employee from Housing. 
 
Then came the most trolling phase in the life of Rahul. He resigned as CEO, questioning "intellectual capability” of the board members and investors. At a board meeting a few days later, he apologized and withdrew his resignation, but the stage had been sfor an unceremonious exit from the company he cofounded three years ago. 
 
 
According to the ET news report, Yadav announced a few days later in May that he was giving away his entire 4.57% stake to Housing employees, and challenged the founders of Ola and Zomato to follow suit. The following month, while returning from a trip to China, Yadav posted a photograph of Vishal Sikka sleeping at an airport lounge, complaining that the Infosys CEO had refused to answer his questions. 
 
Born to middle-class parents from Alwar in Rajasthan, Yadav's turning point came when he enrolled at IIT-Bombay in 2007, specialising in metallurgy. It was at the institute, a breeding ground for tech entrepreneurs - the founders of India's largest cab aggregator, Ola, are IIT-Bombay alumni - that Yadav caught the entrepreneurship bug. 
 
Having built Exambaba.com, an online question bank of old exam papers that IIT-Bombay asked to close, he dropped out of the institute in the final year. In 2012, he and 11 other batchmates cofounded Housing after they had a difficult time finding accommodation in Mumbai, home to some of the world's most expensive real estate. 
 
Yadav's ignonimous exit puts a lot of things in question. With the influx of capital, Housing has aggressively expanded and now employs more than 2,500 people, whose are now in a precarious place with investors keen to sell the company. 
 
But Yadav isn't without his share of supporters, people won over primarily because of his bold attitude. "... Please know that we are ardent admirers, and know that you are meant for greatness. Looking forward to hearing your next," Ajeet Khurana, the former CEO of IIT-Bombay's incubator, commented on Yadav's Facebook wall after he was fired, also stating that he was willing to invest in his next venture. 
 
Yadav had grand visions for Housing, which he outlined to ET after returning from his trip to China. This included going beyond Housing being a classifieds website for real estate and evolving into an ecosystem with an online community and helping design the "next generation of houses,” reads the news report by the financial daily.

<img class="gwt-Image" src="/photo/47270738.cms" /> From a bad-ass employee to a hero--Housing.com’s CEO <keyword id="536283" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rahul-Yadav">Rahul Yadav</keyword> has played several roles in last few days or so. After being called notorious for writing a nasty resignation email, taking a subsequent U-turn and then posting a controversial profile picture on Facebook, now Rahul has shared a different image of himself with the world—that of a Samaritan. 
 
At least this is what we think his recent decision of allotting all of his personal shares worth Rs 150-200crore to all the 2251 employees of <keyword id="1960231" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Housing-com">Housing.com</keyword> would force the world to believe so. 
 
Rahul made this announcement today at the company townhall that was attended by all employees of Housing.com.Now, this technically means now every employee of Housing.com is a company shareholder and they will get approximately ~1 year of their annual salaries worth of Housing stocks. 
 
Rahul Yadav, while explaining the reason behind this move, said, "Housing was started because of 2 reasons: 
1. House hunting problem is unsolved globally. Just the problem statement gives me a lot of kick 
2. In each and every country there are 4-5 players doing the same poor job and still not able to solve the problem. Across the globe there are 500+ players. We want to unify all and create a global giant for real estate so that the one company can afford much higher level of R&amp;D and Technological innovation to push the category forward. 
 
Other than these 2, there is no other factor at play here, including money!" 
 
He further added, "I'm just 26 and it's too early in life to get serious about money etc."

Housing.com's Rahul Yadav is quite
the dramatist.  He now doles out his shares to his employees

Bengaluru, NCP leader <keyword id="6364749" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sharad-pawar" source="Orion">Sharad Pawar</keyword> on Tuesday joined the <keyword id="6360456" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="opposition" source="Orion">opposition</keyword> unity meeting here which will hold deliberations on giving the grouping of 26 opposition parties a name, structure and common agenda to take on the <keyword id="14666" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="bjp" source="Orion">BJP</keyword> in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. While the first day of the meeting saw informal discussions followed by a dinner meeting, Tuesday will see formal deliberations. All political parties were asked at the dinner meeting on Monday night to suggest names for the alliance and the same would be discussed and consensus would be arrived at during the deliberations. Sources said the parties are also likely to issue a joint declaration and finalise a committee for the functioning of the grouping. Sources say the name of <keyword id="689" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sonia-gandhi" source="Orion">Sonia Gandhi</keyword> as chairperson of the new grouping is also suggested. Sonia Gandhi was the chairperson of <keyword id="6355364" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="upa" source="Orion">UPA</keyword> 1 and 2, which remained in government from 2004 to 2014. They will also announce two sub-committees one for finalising the common minimum programme along with communication points and the other for chalking out a joint opposition programme of events, rallies and conventions. Top opposition leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, chief ministers of West Bengal, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, and former chief ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra along with party presidents and leaders of several parties were present at the meeting on Tuesday. Pawar, who joined the meeting on day two, was accorded a warm welcome at the airport. In a Facebook post, Rahul Gandhi said, "A United Opposition- To protect our Democracy, To Safeguard India's Constitution." Discussions on state-wise seat-sharing and ironing out differences among regional outfits are on the agenda, they said, adding the issue of Manipur was discussed and the need for sending an all-party delegation to the violence-hit state stressed upon. The issue of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) was discussed on Monday and further talks would take place on Tuesday. Among others at the meeting hosted by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah were Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav (RJD), Akhilesh Yadav (SP), Uddhav Thackeray (Shiv Sena-UBT), Farooq Abdullah (NC) and Mehbooba Mufti (PDP), besides Sitaram Yechury (CPI-M), D Raja (CPI), Jayant Chaudhary (RLD) and MDMK MP Vaiko. The Opposition meeting coincides with the NDA meeting convened on Tuesday in Delhi, where some new allies are likely to join the ruling BJP-led coalition. Talks of unity notwithstanding, differences among opposition parties, especially those who have been traditional rivals, remain and reconciling political interests will be a challenging task. Fifteen parties, including the Congress, TMC, AAP, CPI, CPI-M, RJD, JMM, NCP, Shiv Sena (UBT), SP and the JDU, attended the last meeting for opposition unity hosted by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna on June 23. Among the parties added this time are the MDMK, KDMK, VCK, RSP, CPI-ML, Forward Bloc, IUML, Kerala Congress (Joseph) and the Kerala Congress (Mani), besides the Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) of Krishna Patel and Tamil Nadu's Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK) led by M H Jawahirullah. The total strength of the opposition parties attending this meeting is around 150 in Lok Sabha.
