Hero Future Energies is a 10-year-old company and has presence across India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Singapore, Ukraine and the UK. It offers a wide range of renewable energy technologies, ranging from solar, wind, battery storage, and green hydrogen. It currently has 1.6 GW of solar and wind power projects operational. “HFE’s clean energy solutions play an important role in helping companies decarbonize as energy demands continue to grow. We look forward to working closely with HFE’s management team and existing investors, including the Hero Group and IFC, to help HFE achieve its next phase of growth and contribute to the energy transition efforts in India and globally,” said <keyword id="201167" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="hardik-shah" source="Orion">Hardik Shah</keyword>, partner at KKR. KKR is not the first to invest in HFE – earlier, International Finance Corporation, and Abu Dhabi Future Energy (also known as Masdar) together picked up a 20% stake in HFE for $150 million, valuing the company at $750 million. Hero Group, KKR to invest $450 million in Hero Future Energies

The duo will be working together to find Pratilipi stories that can be translated into globally successful gaming franchises. The latest funding would allow Pratilipi to strengthen its intellectual property (IP) acquisition and development across different formats ranging from audio books to games. The company’s existing investors Omidyar and Network India also participated in the round, along with a host of entrepreneurs such as Unacademy’s founders Gaurav Munjal and Hemesh Singh, Locus’s Nishith Rastogi, Delhivery’s Sahil Barua and Meesho’s Vidit Aatrey. “With Pratilipi already having a multilingual platform for online literature, it is poised to become one of the strongest players in emerging markets in the future. Krafton believes in long term potential of local Indian IPs that can be successful not just in India, but globally as well across formats including literature, comics and gaming and our investment in Pratilipi is another step in realising that vision,” Sean Hyunil Sohn, head of Krafton’s India division. Avendus Capital acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Pratilipi on this transaction. Pratilipi was founded by Prashant Gupta, Sahradayi Modi, Rahul Ranjan, Sankaranarayanan Devarajan and Singh in 2015. It had started off as an online reading-writing platform and has launched two new products over the years — <keyword id="11642607" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="pratilipi-fm">Pratilipi FM</keyword> for audio based storytelling and <keyword id="11637893" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="pratilipi-comics">Pratilipi Comics</keyword> for in-house comic series. It has also acquired two startups -- IVM Podcast and The Writer Order to expand its presence. The Bengaluru-based startup has over 370,000 writers on the platform and 30 million monthly active readers in 12 Indian languages. Pratilipi has raised $78.8 million to date, with ₹76 crore ($10 million) coming in from the Series C round raised in April 2020. PUBG developer Krafton is going to help Indian storytelling platform Pratilipi to turn a few stories into games

"We've grown only 6% and the market is growing slower than that. And that's a little bit of a worry, because even for a ₹5 product if the consumer is thinking twice before buying it, then there is some serious issue in the economy,” he said. This comes in even though Britannia holds one-third of market share in the Indian biscuit industry. The industry that has been worst hit has the auto industry which has seen a massive slowdown in sales has seen. Auto industry leaders like Pawan Munjal of HeroCorp, RC Bhargava of Maruti, Anand Mahindra of Mahindra &amp; Mahindra, have all been rallying for reduction of GST to boost growth in sales. Rahul Bajaj, the chairman of Indian conglomerate Bajaj Group. During his company’s Annual General Meeting, he spoke of the government’s role in the weak sales of the auto industry. “There is no demand and no private investment, so where will growth come from? It doesn’t fall from the heavens. The auto industry is going through a very difficult period. Cars, commercial vehicles and two-wheelers are going through a rough patch,” Bajaj added. Ahead of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Narendra+Modi">PM Narendra </a><a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Narendra+Modi">Modi</a>’s visit to <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Silicon+Valley+">Silicon Valley</a>, a delegation of five top executives of Indian companies will visit <keyword id="107096" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tesla">Tesla</keyword> manufacturing facility in California this week. 
 
As per an Economic Times report, the delegation will interact with the investors and representatives from the US-India Business Council and US Department of Commerce as well as the US Trade representative. 
 
The Confederation of Indian Industry’s CEO Mission will meet in San Francisco. The association has several big names associated with it among with a few are Rajiv Modi, chairman and managing director of Cadila Pharmaceuticals; Rahul Munjal, managing director of Hero Future Energies; Deep Kapuria, chairman of Hi-tech Gears; Rajan Navani, managing director of Jetline Industries Ltd; and Tarun Sawhney, managing director of Triveni Engineering &amp; Industries. 
 The major task of the delegation is to visit the manufacturing facility of Tesla — the maker of battery operated luxury cars. The company which was co-founded by billionaire <keyword id="6355315" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Elon-Musk">Elon Musk</keyword> is all set to start the production work by next year. 
 
With PM Modi’s emphasis on clean energy, the government would be keen to introduce the technology in India. 
 
The facility underwent an upgrade last year, adding significant manufacturing innovation using automation technology to increase production capacity and reduce production time. Modi is expected to visit the facility on September 26-27. 
 
Over their two-day visit, the CII delegation will interact with members of Silicon Valley-based entrepreneurship trade body The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) and also meet India's Ambassador to the US, Arun Singh. They will participate in a roundtable with the National Academy of Sciences on 'Manufacturing Innovation'.
