Reportedly, a 19-kilometre walking route was damaged in 29 places after the disaster. As per the district administration, there is a problem only at one or two places on the footpath, where security personnel are helping the pilgrims cross the road. A pilgrim who reached Kedarnath Dham said, "The footpath has been repaired, but there is still a problem at one or two places. Good arrangements are being made by the district administration, Rudraprayag.". Notably, so far, 10 lakh, 93 thousand, and 632 devotees have visited Baba Kedarnath. These days, around 150 to 200 pilgrims are reaching Kedarnath Dham. Along with helicopter services, devotees of Baba are also reaching the Dham on foot. Rudraprayag district administration said that their effort is to repair the footpath as soon as possible so that more devotees can reach the shrine of Baba Kedarnath. Hundreds of workers of PWD Guptkashi were engaged in repairing the footpath. Apart from this, the work of repairing the Sonprayag-Gaurikund highway is also going on at a fast pace. "All the routes of Chardham are open, only the footpath in Kedarnath has been obstructed. 100 other routes are obstructed; efforts are being made continuously to open them" the Chief secretary said. Earlier on Thursday Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected the disaster-affected areas. The Chief Minister held a review meeting with officials at the State Emergency Operation Centre to assess the situation of rescue and <keyword id="22080122" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="relief-operations" source="keywords">relief operations</keyword> in areas affected by heavy rainfall. During the meeting, <keyword id="19930273" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="CM-Dhami" source="keywords">CM Dhami</keyword> said that rescue teams had been active throughout the night, relocating people to safety due to the impact of the rains. "We received information about the disruption of life in many areas across the state. The deceased were identified as Bhanu Prasad (50) and Anita Devi (45). A spokesperson from the State Disaster Response Force (<keyword id="20485516" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="SDRF" source="keywords">SDRF</keyword>) said that after receiving information about three people missing due to a cloudburst last night at Jakhanyali in the Ghansali area of Tehri the SDRF team searched the area. "During the search, the SDRF recovered two bodies and found an injured person, who was brought to the hospital through a stretcher from a 200-metre-deep ditch. The bodies were subsequently handed over to the district police," said the official. Meanwhile, two children died and nine others were injured after the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed in the Bhori Dera area of Haridwar following heavy rainfall, said an official. The deceased were identified as Aas Mohammed (10) and Nagma (8). Speaking about the incident, Haridwar District Magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbyal said, "Following heavy rainfall, 11 people were trapped in the debris after the roof of a house collapsed in Bhori Dera under the Bahadarabad police station area of Haridwar." "Two children, Aas Mohammed (10) and Nagma (8), died in the incident and three others were critically injured and are undergoing treatment. The remaining people are also hospitalised but are out of danger. This old house was in a dilapidated state, and heavy rain caused it to collapse," said the DM. The District Magistrate and SSP reached the spot to assess the situation. The officials spoke to the local people and immediately ordered to shift the injured to the local hospital. The officials also assured to provide compensation to the deceased and the injured in the entire matter as per the government order. According to the DM and the SSP, the priority of the administration and police is to rescue the people buried in the incident safely, after which the compensation will be announced. Earlier on Wednesday, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issued a 'red alert' for Uttarakhand. Following the instructions of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Commissioner of Garhwal Division Vinay Shankar Pandey inspected disaster relief camps and disaster-affected areas in Tehri district earlier on Monday. Pandey visited Government Inter College Vinak Khal, Tingarh village, and Budhakedar, listening to the concerns of the affected residents.He held meetings with disaster-affected individuals and officials in temporary relief camps, assuring them of the government's commitment to sensitive and effective disaster relief efforts. Chief Minister Dhami emphasised that there should be no shortage of funds for disaster relief work. During his visit, the Commissioner reviewed the arrangements in the relief camps, instructing for power backup, television access, children's education, and livelihood support.

A separate ward comprising 41 oxygen-supported beds has been readied at the community health centre in Chinyalisaur, about 30 km from Silkyara, for the workers. The road outside the tunnel, which became uneven due to regular movement of heavy vehicles over the past fortnight was being repaired and a fresh layer of soil was being laid for smooth movement of ambulances. Senior police officers briefed the security personnel outside the tunnel to spring into action the moment workers start coming out of the escape passage being prepared for them. Pipes have been inserted up to 52 metres through the rubble at Silkyara tunnel, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on Tuesday as efforts to rescue the 41 workers trapped there continued for the 17th day. The breakthrough point is 57 metres, he told reporters in Silkyara. Rescuers need to dig through around 10 metres of rubble using rat-hole mining technique to bring out the workers. This drilling was earlier carried out by a huge auger machine that got stuck in the rubble on Friday at around 47 metres. A skilled team of workers began removing the muck by hand using the rat-hole mining technique on Monday while 800-mm diameter pipes were being pushed through the rubble by an auger machine.
