Shares of Pricol soared over 10 per cent on Thursday due to healthy business prospects for the company in the medium-term. During the entire session, the shares pared a portion of its intra-day gains and settled nearly 8 per cent high at Rs 129. The company is heavily investing in next-gen technologies to sustain growth besides continuing with its focus on reducing debt to become debt free over the next few quarters. Pricol commenced its operations in 1975 in Coimbatore is a manufacturer of automotive instruments. It provides products and solutions to two wheeler, three wheeler, four wheeler, commercial vehicle, tractors and off-road vehicles. Besides, rating agency ICRA reaffirming the company with a stable outlook also supported its stock. Historically, over the past one-year period, the company accumulated 155 per cent returns for its investors, data showed. This auto component maker's shares more than doubled in last one year

<ul><li>Shares of automaker JBM Auto received orders for supply of 500 electric busses from a few state governments and corporate clients.</li><li>The multibagger stock has delivered 138% returns in the last one year.</li><li>Shares of several auto component makers have rallied in the last one month.</li></ul>Shares of JBM Auto were among the top gainers on Dalal Street with share price up 17% on large orders. The Gurugram-based automaker has received orders for 500 for <keyword id="6358344" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="electric-buses" source="Orion">electric buses</keyword> and some compressed natural gas (CNG) buses from states including Delhi, Bengaluru and Uttar Pradesh along with other corporate clients. Multibagger stock JBM Auto spikes 17% in one trading session on large order for electric bus

Major indices failed to capitalise on Thursday's strong start, post the passage of the GST Bill in the Rajya Sabha, as traders pressed sales on front line shares and investors refused to park fresh funds into equities trading near 16-month highs. 
 
Sentiment was supposed to take a major fillip after last night's overwhelming clearance of the amendment allowing the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax in India's business lexicon. The bitterly debated legislation, in works for over a decade, will result in a unified market across the country. However, the market remained as a sell on rallies. 
 
The Nifty rose 3 points at 8,547 in the first half hour of trade, retreating from an opening high of 8,600. Bharti Infratel, Lupin, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank and ICICI Bank dropped between 1-1.8 percent. They were among 24 shares that dipped on the Nifty. Tata Motors, Sun Pharma, ONGC and Power Grid rose 1.1-2.8 percent and were among 27 stocks that gained ground on the index. 
 
Maruti, Tata Motors, and Bajaj Finance were the top three traded stocks by value. ICICI Bank, Jindal Steel &amp; Power, Ashok Leyland and GATI figured on the list of most active securities on the NSE. 
 
The Nifty 100, 200 and 500 indices slipped marginally in trade, down 0.1 percent each. The mood was mostly weak in the sectoral segment will all four banking benchmarks trading in the red. Mild profit booking continued in the FMCG, Realty and the Media sectors as well while modest upticks were seen on pharma stocks, metal shares and auto companies. 
 
The Sensex fell 39 points to 27,658 points on the Bombay Stock Exchange with Maruti, Tata Motors and ICICI Bank being the top traded shares on the index. Sun Pharma, ONGC and NTPC were the top gainers along with Bajaj Auto and Maruti. Stocks that slipped in trade were Cipla, HDFC, Asian Paints and State Bank. 
 
The trend was mostly positive in the wider market with 812 shares rising compared with 588 stocks that fell. The mood was bullish in the derivatives market where 110 futures gained ground versus 61 that dropped lower. 
 
Pricol, Bata India, Kewal Kiran clothing and Welspun India were present on the list of volume buzzers. 
 
Blue Star, Asian Paints, Yes Bank and Dhampur Sugar Mills hit fresh highs in the first half hour of trade on the National Stock Exchange.

GST
fails to bring cheer to the market

The <keyword id="6354813" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="nifty">Nifty</keyword> may consolidate at 2-week highs on Thursday as traders digest strong gains over the past week and rework valuations in the mid cap zone, which is trading near record highs. 
 
The SGX Nifty points to a 24 point drop at opening for the Nifty today. 
 
Global cues are mixed. Major Indices in the US rose between 0.3-0.7 percent on Wednesday. The trend was bullish in European markets with top indices gaining between 1-1.7 percent. The commodity space continues to send out positive cues for Indian equities. Gold Futures slipped for the 4th day, to fresh 5-1/2 year lows; Oil Futures edged up. The metal complex remains in a firm bear grip. And stocks in Japan, China and Hong Kong are trading with a downward bias on Thursday. 
 
The Nifty Index closed at 8,567 points, up 51 points, on Wednesday, resuming its upward climb and closing near the highest level since July 24. Major action was concentrated in the mid cap segment yesterday. The Nifty enjoys a strong support at 8,500-8,450 levels while the resistance is seen at the 8,637 point level. 
 
The sentiment remains mixed in the cash market. Foreign Institutional Investors totalled net buys of `448 crores on Wednesday, their 3rd day of purchases. In contrast net sales of `189 crores from domestic investors. The derivatives space saw positive mood across the board. Traders made net purchases worth 598 crore rupees for Index Futures; Purchases of 228 crore rupees for Stock Futures; Purchases of `439 crore rupees for Index options and net buys of 37 crore rupees for Stock Options. 
 
Today's major earnings are from Motherson Sumi, Arvind, Cummins, Praj, SRF, Tata Global. Strong delivery based buying in Motherson Sumi, Bosch and Nestle on Tuesday. Schneider Electric Infrastructure showed a very strong surge in delivery volumes.
