<ul><li>Vi is offering five recharge plans including a data add-on pack.</li><li>These plans offer a one year subscription of Disney+ Hotstar Mobile.</li><li>There are other benefits like unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day on these plans.</li></ul>Vi (Vodafone Idea) has launched new recharge plans with a one year subscription of <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/business/telecom/news/reliance-jio-launched-new-prepaid-plans-with-free-disney-hotstar-mobile-subscription/articleshow/85824111.cms" data-type="tilCustomLink">Disney+ Hotstar Mobile</a> that is priced at ₹499 annually. There are five new plans in total starting at ₹501 and going up to ₹2,595. The new plans have been introduced to include the recently launched Disney+ Hotstar Mobile plan. Vi previously offered the Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription along with its recharge plans. In addition to a one year subscription of Disney+ Hotstar, these Vi prepaid plans also offer unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and 3GB of data per day along with extra data up to 48GB. Customers also get access to Vi Movies and TV Classic service for movies, TV shows, live TV and news. There’s also a data add-on pack priced at ₹601 that offers 75GB of data and Disney+ Hotstar Mobile for one year. This booster pack can be used along with an existing recharge plan. These prepaid plans also come with Vi’s ‘Binge All Night’ and ‘Weekend Data Rollover” offers. Under the Binge All Night offer, Vi users can get unlimited data between 12 am and 6 am daily. Vi launches new prepaid recharge plans with Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription

<ul><li>Bharti Airtel has discontinued its ₹49 entry level prepaid recharge plan and started ₹79 smart recharge offer.</li><li>Shares of the company rose 5% after the company announced the development.</li><li>With this, the telecom operator says it is focusing on offering superior connectivity solutions.</li></ul>Shares of Bharti Airtel gained 5% as the company announced that it has discontinued its cheapest prepaid recharge plan of ₹49. Instead it has started a new prepaid recharge pack of ₹79 that offers up to four times more outgoing minutes of usage to customers along with twice the amount of data. Basically, it has hiked its cheapest prepaid plan to ₹79. “This change is in line with the company’s focus on offering superior connectivity solutions. Airtel customers on entry level recharges can now stay connected for longer without worrying about their account balance,” the company said in a BSE statement. “If they have hiked the plan the stock would have reacted but I don’t think there is any long term positive on the stock...eventually they will have to compete with Jio and Vodafone Idea and the space is so overcrowded that eventually none of these players have any pricing power at all.. The stock has really gone nowhere in 13 years now and unlikely to as right now they are competing in a market which is so stiff that everybody wants to gain market share,” said Rajat Sharma, founder of Sana Securities. Traders in the market must have found this announcement as a positive and that is why the rise in stock price, added Sharma. As per The Economic Times report, the government was also considering other measures with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) including a reduction in licence fees (LF) and spectrum usage charges (SUC) and phasing out of bank guarantees. Google today added a new feature to Search that will help prepaid SIM users across the country. The search giant announced that users will now be able to use Search to compare prepaid mobile plans of different telcos. Apart from comparing plans, users will also be able to compare discounts and cashbacks that are being offered by various apps on those <keyword id="1318902" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="recharges">recharges</keyword>. This will help users to select the best plans and go with the best offers at one place. Who can use this service? The service is currently available for signed-in users on Android devices. This means that if you are using search on a computer or an iOS device, you will not be able to use this feature. Which telecom operators are supported? This strategy has helped the newcomer and challenger gain over 300 million subscribers. At an annual general meeting in August, Ambani said that they are looking to target 500 million subscribers. However, the company also launched Jio Fibre last month which offers monthly and annual plans across price points, and this move could indicate that it eyeing a larger pie of internet consumers. Meanwhile, this is good news for Airtel and Vodafone. They continue to have really cheap and affordable plans starting at ₹23 and ₹19 respectively. Reliance Jio is now trading up as it drops its cheapest prepaid packs

New Delhi, Apr 14 () Sector regulator Trai on Tuesday asked all telcos, including Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea and Reliance Jio, to provide data on recharge patterns of prepaid users during the lockdown, and other related information.Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has sought response on the issue in 24 hours, sources told .The communication from the regulator has gone to all operators, including state owned telecom companies, sources said, adding that once the response is received, the regulator will finalise its views on the manner in which prepaid benefits should be extended, given that the lockdown has been extended to May 3.The sources said details sought from telcos include the number of subscribers who have benefited from validity extension and talktime credit -- announced recently. Data has also been sought on number of subscribers who were unable to recharge during the lockdown.Vodafone Idea had earlier announced extension of validity on prepaid plans availed by low-income customers using feature phones till April 17, and Rs 10 talktime credit, while Bharti Airtel too had offered extension in the validity period of over 8 crore pre-paid connections until April 17 as well as credited Rs 10 talk time in these accounts.Reliance Jio had offered its JioPhone users 100 minutes of free talktime and 100 free SMS till April 17, and their incoming calls would continue even post validity of their pre-paid vouchers.The telecom industry had, however, rejected Trai's call for extending benefits of talktime credit and extended validity to all pre-paid mobile phone users. Industry body COAI had argued that telecom firms had offered over Rs 600 crore of benefits to low-income users to stay connected during nationwide lockdown, and extending it all prepaid users was unjustified.
