A resolution through a postal ballot notice has been passed with requisite majority, the company said in a late night stock exchange filing on Wednesday. According to the postal ballot notice, the company will raise up to Rs 1,524.60 crore by preferential issue of up to 46.20 crore <keyword id="20035340" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="equity-shares" source="keywords">equity shares</keyword> and/or warrants convertible into equivalent number of equity shares at a price of Rs 33 per apiece. On September 23, the board of Reliance Power Ltd had approved raising Rs 1,524.60 crore through issue of preferential shares, wherein promoters will infuse Rs 600 crore into the company to advance its business. <div type="Article" hostid="261" msid="79183505" title="Happy Dhanteras 2024 messages and wishes" mstype="2" mssubtype="0"></div> Reliance Infrastructure, the promoter of the company, will enhance its equity stake by over Rs 600 crore. The other investors who will participate in the preferential issue include Authum Investment and Infrastructure Ltd and Sanatan Financial Advisory Services. The fresh fund would be utilised for expansion of business operations directly and/or through investment in subsidiaries and joint ventures, debt reduction and for general corporate purposes, the company said. The preferential issue will enhance the company's net worth from about Rs 11,155 crore to over Rs 12,680 crore, it said. Reliance Power gets shareholders' nod to raise ₹1,525 crore via preferential shares

New Delhi [India], July 19 (ANI): <keyword id="19899016" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="Vodafone-Idea" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Vodafone Idea" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="Vodafone Idea">Vodafone Idea</keyword> approved the allotment of more than <keyword id="22467816" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="40-crore-shares" source="Orion">40 crore shares</keyword> on a preferential basis to <keyword id="6354716" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Nokia" source="Orion">Nokia</keyword> Solutions and Networks India and to <keyword id="330957" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ericsson-India" source="Orion">Ericsson India</keyword>, the company informed the exchange in a filing. The company stated that this preferential allotment is in accordance with SEBI's regulations which totals around <keyword id="22467815" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rs-615-crore" source="keywords">Rs 615 crore</keyword> and represents a strategic move to enhance the company's capital base. According to the statement by the company, the breakdown includes around 25 crore <keyword id="20035340" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="equity-shares" source="keywords">equity shares</keyword> to Nokia Solutions and Networks India Pvt. and over 15 crore equity shares to Ericsson India Pvt. The issue price per equity share was set at Rs. 14.80, including a premium of Rs. 4.80 per share at a face value of Rs 10 per share. "The Capital Raising Committee of the Board ("Capital Raising Committee") has, at its meeting, approved the second tranche of allotment of 41,52,02,701 Equity Shares of face value of Rs. 10/- each at an issue price of Rs. 14.80 per equity share (including a premium of Rs. 4.80 per equity share), to Nokia Solutions and Networks India Private Limited (25,67,56,756 Equity Shares) and Ericsson India Private Limited (15,84,45,945 Equity Shares), aggregating to Rs. 614.5 crores, on a preferential basis" said the company. Vodafone Idea to raise Rs 615 crore through preferential shares allotment to Nokia and Ericsson India

<ul><li>OTTs and <keyword id="6383126" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="telcos" source="Orion">telcos</keyword> are at loggerheads on the latter’s proposal to levy fair-share charges on Large Traffic Generators (LTGs).</li><li>LTGs are making no contribution to the development, upkeep and sustenance of quality telecom networks, <keyword id="6373028" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="coai" source="Orion">COAI</keyword> argues.</li><li>Broadband India Forum says the move will adversely impact innovation and violate <keyword id="6391709" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="net-neutrality" source="Orion">net neutrality</keyword> guidelines. </li></ul>Telecom industry body COAI on Tuesday defended its proposal to levy fair-share charges on ‘Over the Top’ or OTT service providers like Disney Hotstar, Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. It hit out at statements that the move would affect net neutrality and would result in double charges for customers. In the last few weeks, OTTs as well as telco bodies like Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) have been sparring over the latter’s proposal. COAI argues that Late Traffic Generators (LTGs) responsible for 70% of the total internet traffic must make a ‘contribution’ to telcos. LTGs are using TSP networks to deliver their services, but making no contribution to the development, upkeep and sustenance of robust and quality telecom networks across the country – that’s required for catering to the huge traffic being loaded on the networks, the industry body notes, said Lt Gen Dr S P Kochhar, director general of COAI. The net neutrality argument COAI’s sharing proposal has been met with a lot of criticism. The Broadband Forum believes that over-regulation of OTTs would be counter-productive. “It would also adversely impact innovation, lead to discrimination, adversely impact smaller entities and startups, and lead to a violation of Net Neutrality guidelines," said T V Ramachandran, the president of Broadband Forum. Net neutrality is a principle an internet service provider has to give equal access to all sites, apps, content without preferential treatment of any of them. Indian telcos are bound by their license conditions to ensure net neutrality, and will continue to do so, said Kocchar. “COAI affirms that the proposed <keyword id="18830765" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="fair-share" source="Orion">fair share</keyword> charge does not affect access to an open and free Internet. The content and services for consumers would remain fully accessible with no traffic management/differentiation. The price for the traffic paid by end users will not change depending on whether the traffic generator is subject to fair share payments or not, he added. Fair Share approach would incentivise a more efficient handling of data without impairing customer experience, the industry body insisted. COAI also says that OTTs decide traffic volumes delivered as well as compression techniques, i.e., transmitting in standard definition, high definition or ultra-high definition and how to proceed in case of network congestion by reducing the quality of the streaming. Features such as auto-play, continuous-play or advertising automatically provisioned in these services, which result in significant traffic volumes, COAI said. It also said that its proposal intends to exempt startups, MSMEs and small enterprises; and includes only LTGs which generate disproportionately high traffic.

New Delhi, Jun 12 () IDFC First Bank on Friday said it has raised nearly Rs 2,000 crore by issuing shares on preferential basis to its promoters and various other financial services players. "The duly authorized committee of the board of directors of the bank at its meeting held today, i.e. June 12, 2020, has approved the allotment of 86,24,40,704 equity shares ...at a price of Rs 23.19 per equity share (including premium of Rs 13.19 per share), to the allottees on preferential basis," IDFC First Bank said in a regulatory filing. Promoter IDFC Financial Holding Company Ltd bought 34,49,76,282 shares, followed by ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd which subscribed to 25,87,32,212 shares in the private sector bank. Thomas Cook India plans to raise up to ₹450 crore via preferential issue

<ul><li><keyword id="1553175" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="vodafone-idea" source="Orion">Vodafone Idea</keyword>’s board of directors is scheduled to meet on October 21 to consider raising funds. </li><li>The meeting comes at a crucial time, when <keyword id="6375231" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="indus-towers" source="Orion">Indus Towers</keyword>, one of the main tower providers of Vodafone Idea, has demanded the telco pay up its dues. </li><li>Shares of the telco gained after the fundraising announcement. </li></ul>Vodafone Idea’s board of directors will meet on October 21 to consider fundraising via convertible debentures, the telco said in an exchange filing, without divulging details about the quantum of the fund raise. "We wish to inform you that a meeting of the board of directors of the company is scheduled to be held on October 21, 2022, inter-alia, to consider and evaluate a proposal for issuance of debenture securities convertible into equity shares on a preferential/private placement basis to a vendor," Vodafone Idea said in its exchange filing. Convertible debenture is a long-term debt that can be converted into equity shares after a specified period. Vodafone Idea’s latest attempt to raise funds is for investing in its network and also to pay its dues to its service providers, including Indus Towers – a tower company in which rival telco Bharti <keyword id="15491" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="airtel" source="Orion">Airtel</keyword> holds a 47.76% stake. Despite severe disruptions due to COVID-19 this year, the good retail off-take during the 32-day festival period — spread between the first day of Navratri and the concluding day after Bhai Duj — was 98% of the festive season volumes sold by the company in 2019 and 103% compared to the same period in 2018. Lakshmi Vilas Bank Capri Global Holdings sold more than 20 lakh shares of Lakshmi Vilas Bank through an open market transaction. According to the bulk deal data available on the BSE, Capri Global Holdings offloaded a total of 20,55,161 shares at an average price of ₹12.40 apiece. This took the total deal value to ₹2.54 crore. The shares of Lakshmi Vilas Bank ended 20% lower on Wednesday. IndiGo According to the air regulator DGCA data, IndiGo passenger load has increased from 65.4% in September to 68.2% in October. These are the stocks to watch out for during the trading session on Thursday: ICICI Bank ICICI Bank on Wednesday said it would sell up to 2% of its holding in ICICI Securities through an open market transaction. “The Board of Directors of the bank, at its meeting held today, approved the sale of up to 6,442,000 equity shares of face value ₹5 each of ICICI Securities Limited (company), representing up to 2% of its issued and paid-up equity share capital, through an open market sale,” the bank said in a regulatory filing. The shares of ICICI Bank ended nearly a percent higher on Wednesday. Oberoi Realty, Godrej Properties and other real estate stocks The Maharashtra government has decided to slash stamp duty on sale deed documents by 3% from September 1 to December 31, 2020, and by 2% from January 1, 2021 to March 31 2021. Mahindra and Mahindra Limited Automobile major Mahindra &amp; Mahindra and e-mobility technology company REE Automotive has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore development and manufacturing of commercial electric vehicles for global markets. “The partnership will support REE’s global customer need for 200,000-250,000 electric commercial vehicle units over a few years, including potential Mahindra’s domestic and international volumes. ITC, VST Industries and Godfrey Phillips For providing benefits to farmers, a parliamentary panel has recommended permitting regulated foreign direct investment (FDI) in the tobacco sector and establishing export-only tobacco farms to boost outward shipments. The shares of ITC ended nearly a percent lower on Wednesday. Indraprastha Gas The company reported 88% fall in its net profit to Rs 35.2 crore for the first quarter ended June 30.
