A complaint has been filed at Chhatripura police station. A police officer said that during the incident the protesters also broke the barricade. A case of rioting will be pursued against them. Investigating officials said lack of awareness among the people about the corona virus infection and rumours spread on social media had led to such confrontations. Meanwhile, Indore Deputy Inspector General of <keyword id="8993310" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="police-hari-narayan-chari-mishra">Police Hari Narayan Chari Mishra</keyword> told IANS that a team from the health department had gone to the area to conduct health checks when they were attacked with stones. However, no one was hurt in the stone-pelting incident. "The police have registered a case against unknown people and are looking for them," Mishra said. In another development, a 28-year-old woman doctor was admitted to a hospital with coronavirus on Wednesday. Jadia said the doctor was admitted to a private hospital. She was with the <keyword id="254902" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Gynaecology">gynaecology</keyword> department of the government Maharaja <keyword id="8993309" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="yashwantrao-hospital">Yashwantrao Hospital</keyword>, he said. The CMHO said that 20 people including doctors who had come in contact with her have been identified and put under quarantine. The doctor had met her husband in Lucknow some days ago and returned to Indore. Her husband has also been quarantined in Lucknow, Jadia said.

As many as 1,248 swab samples were tested in the district, of which reports of 32 patients have come out positive, Indore's chief medical and health officer Pravin Jadia said. The district has recorded 4,575 cases so far, while the casualties stood at 218, he said. As per the latest data, the district has recorded a recovery rate of around 74.25 per cent and 3,397 patients have been discharged from hospitals so far. However, at 4.476 per cent, Indore's COVID-19 death rate continues to be higher than the national mortality rate. Indore, Jun 23 () Fifty four more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Indore, taking the number of such cases in the Madhya Pradesh district to 4,427, a health official said on Tuesday. As many as 1,588 samples were tested in the district in the last 24 hours, out of which reports of 54 came out positive, Indores Chief Medical and Health Officer Pravin Jadia said. So far, 203 people have died of COVID-19 in the state's worst affected district, he said. Besides, 3,278 patients have been discharged till now after recovering from the viral infection. As per the latest data, the COVID-19 recovery rate in the district was 74 per cent as on Tuesday morning. The death rate of the disease in Indore was 4.58 per cent, which continues to be higher than the national average.
