 Under the Memorandum of Understanding signed in <keyword id="6354321" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bengaluru">Bengaluru</keyword> on 1st December 2016, all <keyword id="3216" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="students">students</keyword> who complete the SV.CO’s Free <keyword id="6561759" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="MOOC">MOOC</keyword> (Massive Open Online Course) will get cloud credits with additional cloud credits given to teams that get selected to the <keyword id="4006394" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="silicon-valley-program">Silicon Valley Program</keyword>. 
 The month-long six ways to graduate MOOC provides basics in entrepreneurship to first year engineering students while the six-month <keyword id="6357722" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="silicon-valley">Silicon Valley</keyword> program is the main course of SV.CO’s #StartInCollege flagship program.

 At this collaboration, Sanjay <keyword id="237155" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Vijayakumar">Vijayakumar</keyword> (Chairman, Startup Village) said,''The founders of DigitalOcean started in the famed <keyword id="4006395" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="techstars-accelerator-program">TechStars Accelerator Program</keyword> and are now giving back to the startup community around the world by offering their infrastructure and resources for young and upcoming <keyword id="6362513" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Startups">startups</keyword>." 
The applications for inaugural six-month entrepreneurship course is closed and the batch commences on January 2nd, 2017. 
Applications for July 2017 batch will be opened on February 1st, 2017. Students can form teams and apply at www.sv.co, Mr. Vijayakumar said.

 Another program that they offer start-ups is the <keyword id="460956" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="hatch">Hatch</keyword>, which is a global incubator program designed to support startups as they launch and scale. This includes access to DigitalOcean's cloud for 12 months, free technical training, mentorship, priority support, and an opportunity to connect with other startups, accelerators, and investors.

DigitalOcean had also launched an initiative for engineering students across the country called Campus Shark. The competition is aimed towards boosting product design capabilities amongst engineering students following the “Make in India” initiative. Campus Shark is a competition encouraging the growth of innovation amongst Indian students, in association with Incubate Hub, The winner will be recognized as a Campus Shark and be rewarded with a cash prize. “Initiatives such as Campus Shark are critical towards transforming India into a global digital leader’’ he signs off.

<keyword id="20154" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="tamil-nadu">Tamil Nadu</keyword>'s ruling AIADMK on Wednesday announced that Chief Minister K. <keyword id="6366644" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="palaniswami">Palaniswami</keyword> will be the party's chief ministerial candidate for the 2021 Assembly polls. The much expected announcement was made by party Coordinator and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam at the party headquarters here. Accepting the demand of Panneerselvam, the party has also announced the setting up of a 11-member steering committee to guide the party. The formation of the steering committee was announced by party Joint Coordinator and Chief Minister Palaniswami. The members of the steering committee are: Dindigul C. Sreenivasan, S.P. Velumani, P. Thangamani, C.Ve.Shanmugam, D. Jayakumar, R.Kamaraj, Manoj Pandian, J.C.D. Prabhakar, P. Mohan, Gopalakrishnan and Manickam. Welcoming the announcement party cadres burst crackers and distributed sweets at the headquarters. At the recent meeting of the Executive Committee of the party, the issue of announcing the Chief Ministerial candidate for the 2021 assembly elections was raised. There were heated exchanges between the supporters of Panneerselvam and Palaniswami. Panneerselvam's demand is to set up a steering committee to guide the party as per earlier agreement. All these years Palaniswami was not agreeable for the steering committee and Panneerselvam remained silent. After the party's Executive Committee meeting, Deputy Coordinator K.P. Munusamy told reporters that the party's Chief Ministerial candidate will be announced on October 7 by Panneerselvam and Palaniswami. "There will not be any change in the current set up. The status quo will continue. The party will face the elections with Palaniswami heading the caretaker government while Panneerselvam stays party Coordinator," the senior official, who did not want to be identified, had told IANS.
