"Polygon effectively transforms Ethereum into a full-fledged multi-chain system (aka Internet of Blockchains). Mark Cuban adds Ethereum-based crypto platform Polygon to his investment portfolio

It's March 14, or 3/14, matching the first three digits of π. 
π is one of the fundamental constants of mathematics: the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. 
π is an irrational number - it can never be written as a fraction of two whole numbers, and it does not have a terminating or repeating decimal expansion. The decimal expansion of π goes on forever, never showing any repeating pattern. Since π is irrational, all we can ever hope to do is get better and better decimal approximations.
 So, how did the ancients first approximate π? 
<h3>How They Found π </h3>
The Greek mathematician Archimedes developed one of the first somewhat rigorous approaches to approximating π. Archimedes observed that <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polygon">polygons</a> drawn inside and outside a circle would have perimeters somewhat close to the circumference of the circle. 
As described in <a href="http://books.google.com/books?id=QwwcmweJCDQC&amp;pg=PA170&amp;source=gbs_toc_r&amp;cad=4#v=onepage&amp;q&amp;f=false">Jorg Arndt and Cristoph Haenel's book Pi Unleashed</a>, Archimedes started with hexagons:

We start with a circle of diameter equal to one, so that, by definition, its circumference will equal π. Using some basic geometry and trigonometry, Archimedes observed that the length of each of the sides of the inscribed blue hexagon would be 1/2, and the lengths of the sides of the circumscribed red hexagon would be 1/√3. 
The perimeter of the inscribed blue hexagon has to be smaller than the circumference of the circle, since the hexagon fits entirely inside the circle. The six sides of the hexagon all have length 1/2, so this perimeter is 6 × 1/2 = 3.
Similarly, the circumference of the circle has to be less than the perimeter of the circumscribed red hexagon, and this perimeter is 6 × 1/√3, which is about 3.46.
This gives us the inequalities 3 &lt; π &lt; 3.46, already moving us closer to 3.14.
Archimedes, through some further clever geometry, figured out how to estimate the perimeters for polygons with twice as many sides. He went from a 6-sided polygon, to a 12-sided polygon, to a 24-sided polygon, to a 48-sided polygon, and ended up with a 96-sided polygon. This final estimate gave a range for π between 3.1408 and 3.1428, which is accurate to two places.
Archimedes' method of approximating π with polygons, and similar techniques developed in China and India, would be the dominant way mathematicians would approach the calculation of the digits π for centuries.
Today we use <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leibniz_formula_for_%CF%80">algorithms based on the idea of infinite series</a> from calculus, and our ever-faster computers allow us to find <a href="http://www.numberworld.org/misc_runs/pi-12t/">trillions of digits of </a><a href="http://www.numberworld.org/misc_runs/pi-10t/details.html">π</a>.

When it came to solana he was impressed by their innovation efforts, "they're trying to solve problems in a different way to speed everything up." At around $142, it's still worth over 4,000% more than it was at this point last year, making it one of the strongest performers over the last 12 months, behind gaming platform Axie Infinity's axs token, which is up a whopping 11,500%, and polygon's matic token, which is up 7,500%.O'Leary's approach to polygon was similar, first meeting the network's engineering team in Dubai before assessing what economic value they wanted to create."Aggregating transactions to reduce gas fees on eth is a smart idea," he said. Since polygon wanted to reduce the cost of using ether as a payment method and he was impressed by the team, he invested. And O'Leary didn't stop here, in clarifying this process he explained how he has come to view cryptocurrencies and all things digital after years of investing in the technology sector. The plaintiff's name is <a href="http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2013/05/01/aliens-colonial-marines-draws-false-advertising-lawsuit/">Damion Perrine, and he claims</a> the quality of gameplay advertised at gaming trade shows and in advertisements for Aliens didn't match the real experience.

Characters behave differently and certain levels are missing, too, Polygon says.
The demo versions of the game were said to be <a href="http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2013/05/01/aliens-colonial-marines-draws-false-advertising-lawsuit/">"actual gameplay footage"</a> by Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford at the time they were published. But when the game was released in February, the graphics seen in the demos did not represent the actual game graphics at all.

Following the game's release, the Advertising Standards Agency <a href="http://imgur.com/QyR4adq">contacted Sega in March</a> on behalf of <a href="http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/1bjtot/advertising_standards_agency_uk_responds_to/">a disgruntled gamer</a>. Sega Europe <a href="http://imgur.com/QyR4adq">acknowledged that the gameplay did not match the demos</a>, promising to include a disclaimer that footage in online trailers for the game were not accurate.

For last year's stunt, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/cards-against-humanity-writers-battle-algorithm-for-jobs-2019-11">CAH said it would fire</a> participating employees if they lost a card-writing competition against an AI (the writers ended up winning).Combined with its success as multimillion-dollar company, CAH employees reportedly feared speaking up or out about problematic behavior over fear of retaliation from leadership, Polygon reports.More than 20 former employees told Polygon about multiple incidents where concerns and suggestions from people of color were blatantly dismissed. Black employees were often tasked with explaining to their coworkers why certain cards were offensive, according to Polygon. In one case, head writers reportedly wanted to add a card to the game containing a racial slur toward Black people.Additionally, former employees said CAH lacked a human resources department, a fact that became an "open joke" in the office. The company said in Tuesday's statement had appointed a "dedicated HR contractor" in January 2019.The CAH statement, posted to the company's website, is lengthy. The company goes through each of Polygon's allegations one-by-one, defending its actions in some situations and acknowledging a history of making "a lot of mistakes."In the Polygon piece, employees named Temkin, specifically, as a "harbinger" of the toxic culture at CAH. The tracking information given to pokemonplace shows a receipt signature from Aramex, but the company claims the signature was for a bulk package.
