PolicyBazaar's shares were trading at ₹1,233 at 11:33 a.m, representing a premium of 26%.It's market cap reached ₹55,672.80 crore ($7.4 billion) at the same time. PolicyBazaar’s three-day-long initial public offering (IPO) opened on November 1, at a price band of ₹940-₹980 per share. The lot size was set at 15 shares. The cost of each lot was ₹14,700 at ₹980 a share. The grey market ⁠— shares being bought and sold outside the exchanges before the IPO ⁠— was at a premium of ₹150 a share, as per several media reports. The issue size of PolicyBazaar’s IPO is ₹5,709 crore consisting of a fresh issue of ₹3,759 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of ₹1,959 crore. The issue received bids for 57.24 crore equity shares against an offer size of 3.45 crore. PB Fintech — which was <a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/tech/funding/policybazaar-rejigs-cap-table-with-a-45-mn-round-at-2-4-bn-valuation/articleshow/81301551.cms">reportedly</a> valued at $2.4 billion in March 2021 when it raised $45 million from Cyrus Poonawalla Group and others — reported revenue of ₹957 crore in the financial year 2021. Its losses were cut down to ₹150 crore. The company would use the proceeds from the upcoming IPO for marketing of PolicyBazaar and PaisaBazaar. A part of the proceeds would also be used for strategic investments and acquisition of new businesses, it said in its red herring prospectus (RHP). IPOs worth around ₹7,000 crore to open in November first week

<ul><li>PB Fintech, parent company of PolicyBazaar, has announced to open its IPO on November 1 and close on November 3.</li><li>The internet company has set a price band of ₹940-₹980 per share.</li><li>Shares of the company are scheduled to list on November 15.</li></ul>PB Fintech, the parent company of online fintech marketplaces PolicyBazaar and PaisaBazaar, has announced its plan to open the initial public offering (IPO) next week. The IPO of the internet company will open on November 1 and close on November 3 with a price band of ₹940-₹980 per share. The issue size of the IPO is ₹5,709 crore consisting of a fresh issue of ₹3,759 crore and an offer for sale of ₹1,959 crore by its existing shareholders. Promoters selling share in the IPO include SVF Python II (Cayman) selling shares worth ₹1,875 crore, Yashish Dahiya -- the chief executive of PolicyBazaar -- worth ₹30 crore, Alok Bansal worth ₹12.75 crore, Shikha Dahiya worth ₹12.50 crore and Rajendra Singh Kuhar worth ₹3.50 crore. In addition, Founders United Trust will sell around 2.68 lakh shares, which aggregates to over ₹26 crore on the upper price band. PB Fintech has built two of the largest platforms for insurance and lending products through PolicyBazaar and PaisaBazaar. India’s largest online insurance aggregator, PolicyBazaar, was launched in 2008. It is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the boom in India’s insurance sector as a market leader in selling insurance online. PolicyBazaar is one among a slew of tech IPOs to hit the Indian exchanges this year. It is also one of the country’s top fintech startups ⁠— the other one being Paytm ⁠— going for a public issue soon. 95% of PolicyBazaar’s revenue comes from commissions from insurance companies on selling policies. PolicyBazaar’s parent to open its ₹5,700 crore IPO on November 1

Shimla, The Himachal Pradesh <keyword id="6355513" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Cabinet">Cabinet</keyword> on Friday decided to keep all educational institutions shut till April 21 to prevent the spread of coronavirus. However, it decided to hold the '<keyword id="592706" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jan-Manch">Jan Manch</keyword>', a once-in-a-month district-level public programme to redress grievances, on April 25. The Cabinet meeting, presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, decided that teaching and non-teaching staff, except those required for exam duties, will stay at home till April 21. Earlier, the educational institutes were closed till April 15. The Cabinet also decided to fill 311 posts of Forest Guard in the <keyword id="6356408" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="forest-department">Forest Department</keyword> on contract basis through direct recruitment. These include the already approved 113 posts of Forest Guard by the Cabinet on March 9, an official statement said. It also approved to fill 25 posts of Agriculture Development Officer on contract basis in the Agriculture Department through the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission against direct recruitment quota. A decision was taken to implement the Central sector scheme SVAMITVA in the state for surveying the land parcels in rural inhabited areas using drone technology. The <keyword id="6371460" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="revenue-department">Revenue Department</keyword> would be designated as the nodal department for implementation of this scheme with the support of the <keyword id="249700" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="panchayati-raj-department">Panchayati Raj Department</keyword>. A memorandum of understanding would be signed with the <keyword id="183581" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Survey-of-India">Survey of India</keyword> for launching the scheme. In the meeting, the Jal Shakti Department apprised the Cabinet on the prevailing drought situation in the state. It was decided to hold a review meeting under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister for further action in the matter. The online consultation portal reportedly allows patients to book appointments with 20,000 <keyword id="25205" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="doctors">doctors</keyword> and 5,000 diagnostic centres. The portal, which was launched in August last year, is now offering services in 34 cities across the country and aims to reach 100 cities eventually according to Ashish Gupta, CEO of docprime.com as <a href="https://www.aninews.in/news/business/business/docprimecom-expands-to-12-states-in-india201901081402480002/" data-type="tilCustomLink" target="_blank">reported</a> by news agency ANI. Docprime.com is similar to a service in China called the Ping An Good Doctor, which was started in 2014 by technology entrepreneur Wang Tao. Docprime.com's Chinese counterpart too was spun out of China's biggest insurance company and listed in Hong Kong in May 2018, where the startup was <a href="https://beta.scmp.com/business/companies/article/2160487/ping-good-doctor-expand-medical-services-platform-southeast-asia" data-type="tilCustomLink" target="_blank">valued at</a> over $1 billion. The Indian company, which claims to innovate using <keyword id="107950" type="TECHNOLOGY" weightage="20" keywordseo="artificial-intelligence">artificial intelligence</keyword> and <keyword id="294572" type="TECHNOLOGY" weightage="20" keywordseo="machine-learning">machine learning</keyword> on its platform, started out with an initial investment of $50 million from its parent Policybazaar. It plans to invest $15 million over the next three years in preventive healthcare. “The plan is to invest 30% of the total money in building the healthcare business,” Gupta <a href="https://www.livemint.com/Home-Page/LPskQkNOcUXP8uJKMpWceL/PolicyBazaars-DocPrime-to-invest-15-million-in-healthcare.html" data-type="tilCustomLink" target="_blank">told </a>the Mint in December 2018. The parent Policybazaar is in discussions with insurance companies to offer an out-patient insurance product. 20-25% of the insurance aggregator's revenue comes from health products.
