 PM CARES donations from sportsmen From the sporting arena, Indian cricketer Suresh Raina is donating ₹52 lakh but only ₹31 lakh is going towards the PM-CARES fund. The online payments platform PhonePe has launched a ₹100 crore pledge campaign in which they will add ₹10 to everyone’s donation. Mumbai, Apr 4 () State-owned Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) on Saturday said the government has nominated it for collection of donations for PM-Cares Fund.The Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-Cares Fund) was set up on March 28 to raise money for combating the Covid-19 crisis and to provide relief to the affected."Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), has been nominated by the government for collection of funds, which will be used to support the community during the Coronavirus outbreak. The funds will be assigned to PM-Cares Fund," the bank said in a statement.The contributions can be made by RTGS, NEFT, IMPS, cheques and demand drafts drawn in favour of PM-Cares Fund.One can also remit contributions directly by electronic clearing system (ECS) to the designated savings bank account of Indian Overseas Bank.All such contributions will be entitled to 100 per cent income tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.Political leaders, corporates, defence personnel, employees of PSUs such as Railways and Bollywood personalities are among a cross-section of organisations and people who have announced their contribution to the PM-Cares Fund.All officials of the external affairs ministry are also donating a day's salary, while some of them are voluntarily donating more.The Army, Navy and Indian Air Force as well as employees of the defence ministry have decided to donate one day's salary totalling around Rs 500 crore. New Delhi, Apr 4 () State-owned Indian Potash Ltd on Friday donated Rs 5 crore to the PM-CARES Fund, taking the total contribution by fertiliser PSUs to Rs 32 crore so far.Employees of two PSUs -- National Fertilizer Ltd (NFL) and Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd -- have donated their one day's salary amounting to Rs 88 lakh and Rs 50 lakh, respectively, for the PM-CARES Fund, an official statement said.Fertiliser and Chemicals Minister D V Sadananda Gowda lauded the efforts of the PSUs saying this will strengthen and support the relief works being carried out by the central government in the wake of COVOID-19 outbreak.Other fertilizer companies especially Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd (IFFCO), Krishak Bharati Cooperative Ltd (KRIBHCO) and NFL-KISAN have also contributed more than Rs 27 crore to the PM-CARES Fund.The Centre has set up the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) Fund with the primary objective of dealing with any kind of emergency or distress situation such as the one posed by COVID-19 pandemic and the contribution made to the said fund shall qualify as CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) expenditure under the Companies Act 2013. New Delhi, Apr 1 () Fertiliser firms have donated over Rs 27 crore to the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) Fund to fight the coronavirus pandemic, the fertiliser and chemicals ministry said on Wednesday. Leading fertiliser cooperative IFFCO has contributed Rs 25 crore, KRIBHCO about Rs 2 crore to PM-CARES, while state-owned firm NFL-KISAN about Rs 63.94 lakh, the ministry said in a statement. The Centre has set up the PM-CARES Fund with the primary objective of dealing with any kind of emergency or distress situation such as that posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has already clarified that any contribution made to the said fund shall qualify as CSR expenditure under the Companies Act 2013. Commending on the contribution made by these companies, Fertiliser and Chemicals Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said it will go a long way in helping the government combat coronavirus and mitigate the impact of the outbreak. Fertiliser firms donate more than Rs 27 cr to PM-CARES

New Delhi, Apr 1 () FDI-funded realty firm Experion Developers on Wednesday said it has donated Rs 1.85 crore to PM CARES Fund for fighting the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to the Rs 1.85-crore contribution, Experion Developers has extended the material supply of medicines and essential items to the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG), the company said in a statement. The firm has also contributed Rs 20 lakh to Haryana Corona Relief Fund. The Gurugram-based company is backed by Singapore's Experion Holdings, which is the real estate investing arm of the USD 2.5 billion AT Holdings group of companies. It is developing township, housing and commercial projects mainly in Gurugram, Haryana, Amritsar, Punjab and Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. MJH ANSANS

Experion Developers donates Rs 1.85 crore to PM CARES Fund

New Delhi, Apr () Jindal Stainless Ltd (JSL) on Thursday announced a financial contribution of Rs 5 crore towards PM CARES Fund to fight the coronavirus outbreak. In addition to the aid, JSL has taken several steps like offering medical facilities, safety equipment, among others, to contain the spread of the virus, the company said in a statement. "Jindal Stainless announces a contribution of Rs 5 crore towards PM-CARES Fund in support of the on-going efforts of the government to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in India," it said. The company had earlier pledged a sum of Rs 15 lakh to Haryana Chief Minister's Relief Fund, it said. The company's 580-bedded multi super-specialty hospital Jindal Institute of Medical Sciences (JIMS) at Hisar (Haryana) has dedicated 125 beds for isolation ward and two negative pressure isolation rooms for COVID-19 patients. The facility is also producing and supplying industrial and medical oxygen to JIMS and Agroha Medical College for medical emergencies. Apart from this, JSL is supporting over 500 families through food packets and food grain distribution in areas around its plants at Hisar and Jajpur (Odisha). The company is also distributing ration and food supplies to migrants and daily wage workers in Delhi-NCR post the imposition of lockdown, it said. COVID-19: Jindal Stainless donates Rs 5 cr to PM CARES Fund

Mumbai, Apr 5 () State-owned Indian Bank on Sunday said its 43,000 employees have voluntarily donated their one day's salary, amounting to Rs 8.10 crore, towards the PM-CARES Fund to fight the COVID-19 crisis. "The bank's 43,000 employees have shown their commitment to the nation by voluntarily contributing one day's salary totalling to Rs 8.10 crore to the PM-CARES Fund towards control of COVID-19 in the country," according to a statement. Separately, LIC-owned IDBI Bank said it has donated Rs 3.9 crore towards the fund. "IDBI Bank cares about the health and wellbeing of our fellow citizens, and through this contribution, we support the efforts of the government in fighting the coronavirus pandemic," the bank's Managing Director and CEO Rakesh Sharma said in a release. The Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES Fund) was set up on March 28 to raise money for combating the coronavirus crisis and to provide relief to the affected. All India Football Federation pledges to donates ₹25 lakh to PM CARES Fund

New Delhi, Mar 30 () State-owned Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) on Monday said its employees will donate one-day salary to the PM-CARES Fund in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. As of now, it has collected Rs 15.48 lakh as contribution from all its employees, a statement said. STPI, which has a headcount of 980 in India, said its employees are voluntarily donating their one-day salary to support the fight against the deadly coronavirus. The number of deaths around the world linked to the new coronavirus has touched nearly 34,000. In India, the tally of confirmed coronavirus cases has crossed the 1,000-mark. STPI has also urged the IT/ITes industry to refrain from terminating their employees, including casual and outsourced staff, and ensure that they are treated as 'on duty' during their period of absence to enable timely disbursal of wages/ salaries to them at this critical moment. It also called on the companies to undertake social and community welfare measures and augment the efforts of the government in tackling the crisis. "Indian IT industry has brought many laurels to the nation and today it stands resilient to COVID-19 crisis by ensuring business continuity to clients. We at STPI are committed to extend our support to the nation to fight this pandemic. Each and every employee of STPI will donate its one-day salary," STPI Director General Omkar Rai said.
