The <keyword id="101434" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="union-finance-ministry" source="Orion">Union Finance Ministry</keyword> on Thursday released the seventh monthly instalment of <keyword id="12060937" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="post-devolution-revenue-deficit" source="Orion">post devolution revenue deficit</keyword> (<keyword id="10712003" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="pdrd" source="Orion">PDRD</keyword>) grant of ₹7,183.42 crore to 14 states. The grant has been released as per the recommendations of the 15th Finance Commission. The panel had recommended a total grant of ₹86,201 crore to 14 states for 2022-23. The recommended grant is released by the <keyword id="368015" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="department-of-expenditure" source="Orion">Department of Expenditure</keyword> to the recommended states in 12 equated monthly installments. With the release of seventh installment for the month of October 2022, the total amount of revenue deficit grants released to the states in 2022-23 has gone up to ₹50,282.92 crore.
