That too, for years. It isn’t just TCS that was hacked. The service provider was used as a jumping off point to gain access to their <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/india-post-upgraded-by-tcs-in-hopes-of-cutting-losses/articleshow/68989343.cms">client’s networks</a>. TCS did not respond when contacted for comments. Denial Mode Nobody wants to accept that the hack actually happened. The Chinese government denied any involvement. The companies claimed that no sensitive information was compromised, but a Reuters investigation shows otherwise. In order to hack into a service provider’s server, Operation Cloud Hopper used ‘spear phishing’ emails. This is where emails are sent to the company’s employees in hopes of tricking them into downloading malware or disclosing their passwords. Normally, that would involve impersonating an employee using the directories of credentials that the hackers had at their disposal, according to Reuters. Once this phase is successful, hackers start to map out the environment so that they can establish a foothold and make their way towards the real target, the system administrator. The administrator is important because it controls the company’s ‘jump servers’ — a bridge between a service provider and its client’s networks. After that, it’s just a matter of segregating sensitive information from the jumble of data on the victim’s network. Reuters reports that it wasn’t a random search either, as the hackers knew exactly where to look and find sensitive information. The commercially sensitive data is copied either directly from the client network or back through the service provider. Many companies like Hewlett Packard, didn’t even know that they had been hacked for the first couple of years. But once they did find the vulnerability, getting rid of it was a different story altogether. Though were ever able to pick off the hacker footholds one by one, the tricky infiltrators found new ways to come back stronger. The cycle continued for at least five years, according to Reuters. ‘Operation Cloud Hopper’ and its many attempts to hack into IT companies have mostly been kept under wraps at the behest of the corporate victims. But, the US government, after years of trying to contain the threat finally dubbed the hackers Advanced Persistent Threat 10 (APT10) in December 2018. All of Wall Street is bracing for this moment, as the chipmaker has essentially become a bellwether to determine the sustainability of the AI rally. Its success or failure in impressing investors <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/stock-market-this-week-most-important-week-year-nvidia-earnings-2024-8">will likely move the whole market</a> in the days after it reports results. While excitement for the technology has sent large caps on a spree in recent quarters, investors are now questioning how much longer the hype can last, and Nvidia's demand and sales metrics will be important in answering the market's burning questions.Meanwhile, supply-side worries have also emerged after the firm's <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/nvidia-ai-chip-blackwell-delay-new-annual-product-launch-2024-8">upcoming Blackwell AI chip was reported to be delayed</a>.Here's what some of Wall Street's top banks are watching as the market gears up for the big event on Wednesday. However, we see any selloff as enhanced buying opportunity as challenges are not in demand, but in (solvable) supply that will not fundamentally derail NVDA's longer-term momentum," analysts wrote.They said that strong sales of its Hopper chip will likely boost sales to $28.6 billion, above Nvidia's $28 billion guide and modestly ahead of consensus estimates. Bank of America has a "Buy" rating on Nvidia and a price target of $150 per share.Wells FargoWells Fargo projects Nvidia to deliver a revenue and earnings-per-share beat on Wednesday, as data centers and strong operating leverage drive the firm's performance.Data center revenue strength will come from robust Hopper H100 demand and the start of H200 chip shipping, the bank wrote. Meanwhile, a ramp-up in the firm's ethernet-based networking product, Spectrum-X, should also drive upside.In the coming quarter, Wells Fargo anticipates Nvidia to notch 15% sequential growth in its data center segment and total company revenue.As mentioned by other banks, Wells Fargo also cited potential Blackwell delays as a factor that could spur some near-term volatility. However, this issue should be felt more in January's quarter than October's. Instead, Hopper and Spectrum-X demand will keep revenue appreciating through the coming months, the bank said.CitiCiti forecasts that Nvidia stock will likely achieve fresh highs, anticipating the firm will outpace Wall Street's earnings estimates.It models $28.5 billion in total quarterly sales, and sees around $1 billion upside to consensus outlooks.However, Citi noted that Nvidia's earnings will be below the $2 billion estimate-beat it has notched in the past four quarters, as Blackwell's concerns weigh on the firm's performance. Supply-chain issues aside, investors will likely be focused on H100/H200 and Spectrum-X momentum, enterprise demand, and whether there is elevated risk of more restrictions on high-end chip purchases from China."We expect Street estimates to go higher for the Jun/Oct-Qs, Blackwell comments to reassure investors on a strong CY25 outlook, and stock to make fresh 52 week high," Citi wrote.The bank holds a "Buy" rating on Nvidia and a target price of $150 per share.Wedbush SecuritiesThis is the <a target="_blank" href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/stock-market-this-week-most-important-week-year-nvidia-earnings-2024-8">most important week</a> for the stock market this year, as Nvidia is likely to turbocharge the AI rally with another "drop the mic performance," Wedbush Securities wrote last week.Analyst Dan Ives has been one of the most vocal Nvidia bulls, and his outlook has only strengthened heading into Wednesday's report. (That's still true — AirDNA, which tracks vacation rental listings on platforms like Airbnb and Vrbo, told BI that demand in October for the popular fall foliage hot spots of rural New York and the coast of Maine is up 19.7% from 2023.)Many of these offseason vacationers are also seeking out classic overseas summer destinations like Europe.Travel-booking company Hopper told BI that in 2023, 23% of European vacations reserved on the platform were for September and October of that year, up 5% from 2019.Jackie Roth — a travel manager for Scott Dunn Private, the invite-only subsidiary of travel agency Scott Dunn — told BI that all its clients have been requesting fall travel. And <a target="_blank" href="https://news.airbnb.com/2024-fall-trends-revealed/">Airbnb said</a> its vacation rentals are generally the cheapest from September through November.According to data from travel booking platform Kayak, the average nightly cost of three- and four-star hotels in Italy dropped 3% from the summer to fall of 2024. In Cagliari, Sardinia, the dip was closer to 22%.It's easier for families who aren't beholden to a school calendar to globetrot during the week. "Our clients are being more selective about when to splurge on a special property and when to save." (The company has two membership options, the priciest at $2,850 a year.)Melissa Krueger, CEO of luxury travel wholesaler Classic Vacations, is especially partial to October, calling it the "best time to travel worldwide." Actually, "jealous" would be the more apt emotion triggered by the existence of the grill. Not only is this one of the smartest grills on the market, but it's also one of the fastest cooking and most versatile machines I've ever put to use. Had our predecessors had the luxury of cloud-connected grilling, there would have been ample time for both hunting and gathering. The WiFi connectivity of these smart grills (cleverly called WiFIRE) offers the gift of time, but perhaps more importantly, peace of mind. I've been grilling up a storm in my backyard with the <a href="http://www.pntrac.com/t/S0BLRUtKQERGRklFS0BISEpIRQ?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.acehardware.com%2Fdepartments%2Foutdoor-living%2Fgrills-and-smokers%2Fpellet-grills%2F8016781%3Fx429%3Dtrue%26utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dcpc%26gclid%3DEAIaIQobChMIutPpzoOt4gIVylSGCh2AfAtJEAYYASABEgKESfD_BwE" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Traeger Pro 575</a>, and here are my experiences with it.<h2>Overall</h2>Working off of wood pellets for a truly wood-fired taste, this grill offers six-in-one versatility. It can handle your run-of-the-mill grilling, but you can also bake, roast, braise, smoke, and barbecue. And because of the variety of wood pellets available (like alder, apple, oak, and pecan wood), you can achieve a wide range of tastes. It's hard to believe that the same grill that sends off a mesquite-grilled sausage is also capable of firing up a baked salmon flavored with maple wood. But that, my friends, is the magic of <a href="http://www.pntrac.com/t/S0BLRUtKQERGRklFS0BISEpIRQ?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.acehardware.com%2Fdepartments%2Foutdoor-living%2Fgrills-and-smokers%2Fpellet-grills%2F8016781%3Fx429%3Dtrue%26utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dcpc%26gclid%3DEAIaIQobChMIutPpzoOt4gIVylSGCh2AfAtJEAYYASABEgKESfD_BwE" target="_blank" rel="noopener">this grill</a>. While you may think that cooking with wood pellets (and as a result, indirect heat) won't get you equally delicious results as food cooked over an open flame, the Traeger is here to prove you wrong. I had far greater control over the exact temperature of the grill, and the entire process was far less messy (and therefore easier to clean up), yielded more consistent results, and the cook time was actually much faster. In short, I've never enjoyed grilling more than I have with the <a href="http://www.pntrac.com/t/S0BLRUtKQERGRklFS0BISEpIRQ?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.acehardware.com%2Fdepartments%2Foutdoor-living%2Fgrills-and-smokers%2Fpellet-grills%2F8016781%3Fx429%3Dtrue%26utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dcpc%26gclid%3DEAIaIQobChMIutPpzoOt4gIVylSGCh2AfAtJEAYYASABEgKESfD_BwE" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Traeger Pro 575</a>. <h2>Set-up process</h2>Traeger says that you'll need two people in order to actually get your new grill up and running, and it's not wrong. While putting together the grill is relatively straightforward, the difficulty comes in actually lifting the heavy pieces of the machine, which you'll have to do a number of times in the process. And at 128 pounds total, you don't want to break your back before you get to chow down on the meat or veggies you're about to grill. That said, outside of dealing with the weight of the grill, putting the pieces together is considerably easier than, say, putting together Ikea furniture. While you'll still be working with pictograms that aren't the most intuitive to follow, Traeger makes things easier by labeling boxes with things like "Start Here" and clearly marking the various nuts and bolts for easy assembly. All in all, it took my boyfriend and me about 45 minutes to fully assemble the grill - not bad for an afternoon's work.Once that's done, plug it into a power source and you're almost there. <h2>Priming the grill </h2>Before you actually get to the meat of using the grill (so to speak), you'll first need to run an initial seasoning cycle. You do this by adding wood pellets to the hopper, turning on the grill, and selecting the Prime Auger option from the menu screen. While I've never been a particularly vocal proponent of WiFi-enabled cookware, I'll hand it to Traeger - the WiFIRE aspect makes it one of the most user-friendly grills I've ever used. Thanks to the connection to my phone, I can now grill, quite literally, from anywhere I'd like. With 572 square inches of grilling area, you have more than enough room for eight (very large) burgers - at least, the way we did it. In fact, the brand says it can cook 36 burgers, six racks of ribs, or six whole chickens at once. If you don't need both racks to cook protein, you can use the second one for grilling corn and other vegetables, or as a holding place for proteins that perhaps need a bit less heat. Aside from the impressive grilling capacity, there are also a number of bells and whistles that help the Pro 575 stand out from the rest of the crowd. First, there's the so-called D2 Direct Drive. Thanks to the variable speed fan and auger of this grill, heat distribution and control is much improved when compared to other wood pellet grills, and to the standard gas or charcoal variants you may be accustomed to. Thanks to the related Turbotemp technology, the Pro 575 got hot enough to start grilling in just a couple minutes, which meant that I could begin cooking on my timetable, rather than that of my grill's. Also included with your grill is a meat probe, which gives you an exacting internal temperature reading of your various cuts of protein. This can be particularly useful when cooking larger cuts of meat or fish - rather than having to defile that filet by cutting it in half, you can just insert the temperature probe and see if it's reached optimal temperature. The most apparent is the need for an electrical outlet to power up the grill. If you don't have one in your yard or you're truly looking to grill in the great outdoors, this isn't necessarily the grill for you. After all, what with its cloud connectivity and smart features, it's not exactly the most down-to-earth piece of machinery you could use to cook your dinner. I will also say that the wood pellets, unfortunately, are not quite as easy to come by as charcoal or propane.
