The online application process has already begun and the last date to apply for these roles is September 3. The bank will conduct an online examination for the selection. The exam is likely to be held on October 9 at various centres — Delhi/NCR, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Mumbai/Navi Mumbai/Greater Mumbai/Thane, Bengaluru, Chennai, Bhopal, Ahmedabad. While applying online, candidates belonging to General/Economically Weaker Section/Other Backward Class will have to pay a non-refundable intimation fees of ₹850. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST)/Persons with benchmark disability (PWBD) don’t have to pay any intimation fee. Candidates who are shortlisted or selected for personal interview will be informed through email or SMS on their registered mobile number. The <keyword id="6355014" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="delhi-high-court">Delhi High Court</keyword> on Friday gave its nod for the conduct of online <keyword id="9315547" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="open-book-examinations">Open Book Examinations</keyword> (OBE) for final-year students of <keyword id="6360099" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="delhi-university">Delhi University</keyword>. Justice Prathiba M Singh, while giving the go-ahead, passed certain directions to be followed by the DU and the University Grants Commission (UGC). The court directed that the questions should be posted on online portal as well as emailed to all the candidates. "Students are to be given two hours for attempting the question papers. One extra hour shall be granted for uploading of the answer sheets on the portal," the court said. It directed that an auto-generated email shall be sent to the students to acknowledge that their answer sheets have been accepted. The bench also directed the CSC Academy -- whose Common Service Centres will be used by the students lacking in requisite infrastructure to sit in the exams -- to notify all its centres to be used for the conduct of OBE. "DU Grievances Officer shall redress the emailed complaints of students regarding the process within 48 hours. If not, the matter shall automatically be referred to the Grievances Redressal Committee," the High Court added. The court had on Wednesday reserved orders on a batch of pleas that challenged the university decision to conduct online Open Book Examinations for final-year students. Initially, the varsity announced that the exams would commence from July 1, but later postponed the same to July 10 and again till August 15 without giving a specific date for examinations.

Gradually, other universities and colleges in the state will also conduct final year examinations."</li><li>In the current situation no examinations be conducted and all students should be mass promoted, Paresh Dhanani, Leader of the Opposition, told IANS.</li></ul>The Gujarat government, here on Wednesday, announced the decision to allow colleges and universities to conduct final year examinations. The Gujarat Technological University (GTU) has already declared dates for examinations, which will start from Thursday. However, the Congress has opposed the cabinet decision. Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said, "The SP University and the Teacher's University conducted examinations last week. The GTU has announced examination dates. Gradually, other universities and colleges in the state will also conduct final year examinations." He said the GTU had conducted an opinion poll on it's website on holding of examinations. Around 54,000 students replied in affirmative as they wanted to move on, get the certificates for jobs or pursue higher education. Only 900 students opposed holding of examinations, he added. The GTU would conduct examinations while maintaining social distancing, use of masks and sanitizers, and by making other arrangements across its 350 centres, Chudasama said. The GTU has given the students three options -- the classroom examinations that will begin on Thursday, online examinations, and special examinations to be held on improvement in <keyword id="1754604" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="coronavirus">coronavirus</keyword> situation. The students living in containment zones or those who are not willing to take classroom examinations can either go for online examinations or special examinations, the dates for which will be announced later. The online examinations will be held from July 21, as declared by the GTU earlier. However, the Congress has opposed the decision to conduct examinations and have demanded that the students be mass promoted. "The corona crisis in Gujarat is out of control. More than 32,000 people have been infected and over 1,800 lost their lives. At such a time, <keyword id="6240601" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="The-University-Grants-Commission">the University Grants Commission</keyword> (UGC) and various other committees, set up in different universities and colleges, recommended cancellation of all examinations and a merit-based progression. Gujarat government decides to allow final year examinations

<keyword id="1707038" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="The-Institute-of-Chartered-Accountants-of-India">The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India</keyword> (ICAI) told the Supreme Court on Wednesday that it cannot hold the <keyword id="10220121" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="upcoming-ca-exam">upcoming CA exam</keyword> online as suggested by some of the candidates, in view of COVID-19, as it tests the analytical capabilities of the examinees. The ICAI said its 3-hour exam is of a different pattern altogether, which have descriptive answers and not tick marks. A bench of Justices A M Khanwilkar, Dinesh Maheshwari and Sanjiv Khanna asked the ICAI to publish on its website the steps taken for students welfare with regard to COVID-19 and disposed of the petition seeking a detailed <keyword id="110048" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="20" keywordseo="Standard-Operating-Procedure">Standard Operating Procedure</keyword> (SOP) for the examinees in the upcoming CA exams. The Chartered Accountant exams are scheduled to be held on November 21 to December 14. During the hearing, <keyword id="10220122" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="senior-advocate-ramji-srinivasan">senior advocate Ramji Srinivasan</keyword>, appearing for the ICAI, said that they don't have any isolation room as examination centres and don't have the facilities for doctors. He said that as directed by the top court in its last hearing, they have examined all the suggestions given by advocate Bansuri Swaraj, representing the petitioners. "There was suggestion that can we hold an online exams. Ours exams has different pattern and therefore we cannot hold the online examination", he said, adding that they test the analytical capabilities of examinees. The bench then told Swaraj that petitioners need to be reasonable in their demands and it was not satisfied with their responses. Srinivasan further said that transport and accommodation was also sought by the petitioner but that is not possible. He submitted that ICAI may request Ministry of Home Affairs to allow e-admit cards to book hotels. The bench said that it is a state specific issue as earlier when such suggestions were made, the state governments have agreed to do so. It told Swaraj that how can online exams be allowed when the answers are required to be descriptive. "How can this be allowed? Just because courts are allowing many things, you cannot keep on asking what you want. Be reasonable in your demands," the bench told the petitioner's counsel. It asked ICAI to put all the information on the grievances raised by the Petitioners on the website and disposed of the plea saying if there is any lapse it will be addressed but exams in the past have been handled well. The petitioners have contended that despite less than a month left for the commencement of examination, no steps have been taken by the authorities with respect to safety of examinees. They have claimed that no safety guidelines have been issued by ICAI on how the examinations will be held amid COVID-19 pandemic. The plea alleged that the examination will be in violation of central government guidelines which prohibits congregations of more than 100 persons at an academic institution. CA Exam 2020: ICAI tells Supreme Court the exams cannot be held online

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) entrance test schedule for the next session in 2020. According to the varsity’s official website, the online registration will begin from 2 March 2020. Interested applicants can visit the official website ntajnu.nic.in. The exam will be held from 11 May 2020 to 14 May 2020. And the admit cards for the same will be rolled out on 21 April 2020. The tentative date for the declaration of result is 31 May 2020. The test will include multiple choice questions (MCQs) of 100 marks. The duration of the online examination is 90 minutes. Last year, the examination was conducted from 27 May to 30 May. And over 116,558 students registered for admission against 3,383 seats.

<ul><li><keyword id="470781" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="The-Bar-Council-of-India">The Bar Council of India</keyword> (BCI) said all <keyword id="6418036" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="law-students">law students</keyword>, except those in final year, will be promoted on the basis of their previous year's marks and marks obtained in the <keyword id="4234762" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="internal-examination">internal examination</keyword> of the current year. </li><li>However, it clarified that after reopening of colleges/universities, the institutions may conduct the end semester examination with respect to the year from which the students have been promoted.</li><li>The lawyers' body clarified that for final year LL.B students, the universities may adopt any other appropriate method which they feel is adequate to satisfy the requirements of a regular examination. </li></ul>The Bar Council of India (BCI) said all law students, except those in final year, will be promoted on the basis of their previous year's marks and marks obtained in the internal examination of the current year. The BCI has issued fresh guidelines for the promotion of law students to the next year and the criteria for law exams amid the Covid-19 crisis. However, it clarified that after reopening of colleges/universities, the institutions may conduct the end semester examination with respect to the year from which the students have been promoted, within a reasonable period of time, though such promoted students shall continue to study in the year to which they have been promoted. "And in case, they are unable to pass/clear any such paper of such end semester exam of the year from which they have been promoted, they shall have to clear the same, before they are granted the degree. In the case of students who have been promoted to the final year as LL.B students, they shall have to pass all papers in order to obtain their degree/s," said the lawyers' body. It allowed the <keyword id="6411073" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="final-year-students">final year students</keyword> of the three and five years LL.B courses to appear for online examinations. "In case of Final Year LL.B students, who have not cleared all papers of previous years and are required to sit in the supplementary examination, but, who have been promoted to final year, such Final year LL.B students may be allowed to write a project report or appear in online examination with regard to the pending/supplementary papers, so that they could also pass within time," said the BCI in a statement. The lawyers' body clarified that for final year LL.B students, the universities may adopt any other appropriate method which they feel is adequate to satisfy the requirements of a regular examination. "Under this system, the University may allow students to write a project report/research paper for each paper of the final year or they may adopt a foolproof method to double the internal marks of the semester exams already held for such year," said a senior official of the lawyers' body. The BCI insisted that the universities must adhere to Covid-19 protocol and ensure that the norm of social distancing is followed in the campus and all classrooms and examination halls are properly sanitised from time to time. "The safety and health of the students should not be compromised at any cost. Universities are instructed to maintain the highest academic standards while conducting the examinations," the statement said.

New Delhi, The JEE mains examination have commenced from Tuesday. This is the first time that JEE examinations are being conducted under the country's <keyword id="2450716" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="new-education-policy">new education policy</keyword>. Under the new education policy, this time round, students are also appearing for the JEE mains examinations in Telugu, Tamil, Punjabi, Urdu, Odia, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Assamese and Gujarati languages, besides English and Hindi. For the first time, students have got an opportunity to appear for exams in <keyword id="380963" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="13">13</keyword> <keyword id="475721" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-languages">Indian languages</keyword>. These examinations are being conducted only in computer-based test CBDT mode. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has set up 852 examination centres across the country. During the examination held in September, 660 examination centres had been set up. 6,61,761 lakh candidates are appearing for this coveted computer-based entrance exam. Online examination for BE and B.Tech will be conducted in two shifts from February 24th to 26th. According to the National Testing Agency, the examination centre is also being fully sanitised between the two shifts. In the examination centres, face masks and sanitiser have been provided for students. The body temperature of students will also be checked with thermal guns before going to the examination centre. According to Vineet Joshi, Director General, National Testing Agency, all state governments and the police have appealed for a safe transport facility for students keeping in view the examination. The guidelines of the Union Health Ministry to prevent Coronavirus infections are being strictly followed. Students have been called to the examination centres two hours before the exam. The distance between two computers and between students will be maintained during the examination. The NTA has also conducted mock drills at the examination centres on Monday before the examination. "In view of the Corona epidemic, the eligibility criteria for obtaining 75 percentage points in class XII for admission to IITs this year has been done away with," said <keyword id="19402" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sadhana">Sadhana</keyword> Parashar, senior examination director of the National Examination Agency, which is conducting the JEE examinations.
