IT solutions provider Inspira Enterprise to hire over 400 technology professionals to expand its workforce in India

<keyword id="363206" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Airtel-Africa">Airtel Africa</keyword> on Wednesday announced the <keyword id="6371194" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="sale">sale</keyword> of the <keyword id="11367710" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="tower-portfolio">tower portfolio</keyword> belonging to <keyword id="2297078" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Airtel-Tanzania">Airtel Tanzania</keyword> to a joint venture company of SBA Communications Corporation and Paradigm Infrastructure for $175 million. SBA Communications Corporation is a global independent owner and operator of wireless communications infrastructure while paradigm infrastructure is a UK company focused on developing, owning and operating shared passive wireless infrastructure in selected growth markets. The tower portfolio in Airtel Tanzania comprises around 1,400 towers which form part of the Group's wireless <keyword id="67974" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="telecommunications">telecommunications</keyword> infrastructure network. Under the terms of the transaction, the Group's subsidiary Airtel Tanzania plc will continue to develop, maintain and operate its equipment on the towers under a separate lease arrangement with the purchaser, said a company statement It added that the transaction is the latest strategic divestment of the Group's tower portfolio as it focusses on an asset-light business model and on its core subscriber-facing operations. Out of the total consideration of $175 million for the transaction, around $157.5 million is payable on the first closing date, which is expected to take place in the second half of the Group's current financial year, with the balance payable in installments upon the completion of the transfer of any remaining towers to the purchaser. "Around $60m from the proceeds will be used to invest in network and sales infrastructure in Tanzania and for distribution to the Government of Tanzania, as per the settlement described in the Airtel Africa IPO Prospectus document published in June 2019," it said. The balance of the proceeds will be used to reduce debt at group level, said the company. Airtel Africa to sell Tanzania's tower portfolio to SBA Communications Corporation and Paradigm Infrastructure for $175 million

<keyword id="6355629" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="google">Google</keyword> on Wednesday clarified that its <keyword id="47576" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Search">Search</keyword> engine is not classified to be part of the <keyword id="2375797" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="new-IT">new IT</keyword> intermediary guidelines 2021, urging the <keyword id="6355014" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="delhi-high-court">Delhi High Court</keyword> to set aside an order that puts Google Search as part of the new IT rules. The single judge order on April 20 came in a case where a woman's images were uploaded on a pornographic website and despite court orders, the objectionable content could not be removed in entirety from the internet. A Google spokesperson told IANS that Search engines are a reflection of the content and information that is available on the internet. "While we maintain a consistent policy over removal of objectionable content from search results, the Delhi High Court order has cast certain obligations that would wrongly classify Google search as a social media intermediary," a Google spokesperson told IANS. "We've filed an appeal against this part of the order and look forward to explaining the steps we take to remove objectionable content from Google search results," the company spokesperson added. A bench of Chief Justice D N Patel and Justice <keyword id="210481" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jyoti-Singh">Jyoti Singh</keyword> has issued notice to the Union government, Delhi government, Facebook, the pornographic site and Internet Service Providers Association of <keyword id="3658" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="India">India</keyword>, seeking their responses to Google's plea by July 25. The Google spokesperson said that the "direction also requires proactively identifying and globally disabling access to any content which may be similar to the offending content, that may appear on any other websites/online platforms, or in any other context". The new rules notified in the gazette of India on February 25 under the Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code Rules, 2021, came into effect from May 26.
