He also shared a video featuring the first batch of women hired to work at the facility. <div type="javascript" title="Custom" contenttype="Video"><cdata><![CDATA[ ]]></cdata></div> In a blogpost, Aggarwal said the company welcomed the first batch this week and "at full capacity, Futurefactory will employ over 10,000 women, making it the world's largest women-only factory and the only all-women automotive manufacturing facility globally". This is the first in a series of initiatives Ola is undertaking to create a more inclusive workforce and provide economic opportunities for women across the board, he added. Aggarwal said the company has invested significantly to train and upskill them in core manufacturing skills and they will be responsible for the entire production of every vehicle manufactured at Ola Futurefactory. "Enabling women with economic opportunities improve not just their lives but that of their families and indeed the whole community. In fact, studies show that just providing women parity in the labour workforce can grow India's GDP by 27 per cent," he said. He pointed out that in manufacturing, the participation of women remains the lowest at just 12 per cent. "For India to be the world's manufacturing hub, we must prioritise upskilling and generating employment for our women workforce," Aggarwal added. Ola had announced a Rs 2,400-crore investment last year for setting up its first electric scooter factory in Tamil Nadu. Touted to be the world's largest scooter manufacturing facility, the company had stated that it would initially start with 10 lakh annual production capacity and then scale it up to 20 lakh, in line with market demand, in the first phase. When fully completed, Ola Electric had claimed that its plant would have an annual capacity of one crore units, "that is 15 per cent of the world's entire total two-wheeler production". The company had, on August 15, unveiled its Ola S1 electric scooter in two variants — S1 and S1 Pro — at Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,29,999, respectively (ex-showroom including FAME II subsidy and excluding state subsidies). While the sale was to start on September 8, it postponed the sale process by a week to September 15 as it faced "technical difficulties" in making the website for purchases live for customers. Ola electric scooter factory will be run only by women, says CEO Bhavish Aggarwal

The centre named as ‘Futurefoundry’ will be based out of Coventry, where companies like Jaguar and Aston Martin have set up their factories. Ola Futurefoundry will employ over 200 designers and automotive engineers. The centre will also partner with education and research institutions in the UK to collaborate on technology research and development. The UK-based centerwork in-synch with the design and engineering teams based at Ola Campus in Bengaluru, India. “Ola Futurefoundry will enable us to tap into the fantastic automotive design and engineering talent in the UK to create the next generation of electric vehicles. The company has claimed that this is the first of several global strategic investments it plans to make. This will be a part of Ola Electric’s plan to ramp up its core research and development (R&amp;D) in advanced cell chemistry and manufacturing as well as other battery technologies and new energy systems. As a part of the deal, Ola Electric will have access to StoreDot’s state of the art XFC battery technology that charges a battery from 0 to 100% in just 5 minutes. The Indian company — <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/business/startups/news/ola-electric-raises-another-200-million-this-time-at-a-valuation-of-5-billion/articleshow/89088739.cms">valued at $5 billion</a> in January — will have the exclusive rights to manufacture batteries integrating StoreDot’s fast charge technology in India. The company also plans to set up a gigafactory for manufacturing cells and meet the demand generated by Ola Future Factory. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government is for a factory with an initial annual capacity of 2 million units. “This will be one of the most advanced manufacturing facilities in the world. This factory will showcase India’s skill and talent to produce world class products that will cater to global markets,” said Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Group CEO, Ola in a statement. The factory will produce two wheeler products starting with the electric scooters and the company said it will create 10,000 jobs in the process. The Softbank-backed Ola, whose last reported valuation was $6 billion in May 2019, will now be competing with legacy business houses in India like Hero Moto, TVS Motor and Bajaj Auto, who have decades of experience in the two wheeler space, as well as with startups like Ather Energy and Okinawa Scooters. Targeting the European market, Ola had also brought on board Julien Geffard as the Director of Go-To-Market Strategy for its electric business in Europe. Geffard earlier worked as the Global Commercial Director and a member of the Board of Management at Peugeot Motorcycles, and has also worked with Bentley Motors, Alpine and BMW. Meanwhile Ola, in the US, had also set up an advanced technology center in 2019 which housed engineers who worked on the next-generation technologies in mobility. Ola will become a two-wheeler maker with a new electric scooter plant in Tamil Nadu where it is investing ₹2,400 crore

Hindustan Unilever’s (HUL) senior employees are one of the best paid in the industry. HUL has 169 executives who drew eight-digit salaries last year, six times more than its closest rival ITC's 23 crorepati employees, and half of them are less than 40 years of age, according to the Economic Times. The HUL number is also 50% higher than IT major Infosys' 123 eight-digit salary earners and more than double of Wipro's 70. 
 
The firm’s annual report states, 169 managers, representing just 1% of HUL's total workforce, drew home a combined salary of Rs 310 crore. 
This is more than the total employee spends of mid-sized rivals such as Marico, Godrej Consumer and Procter &amp; Gamble Health and Hygiene. "For the kind of talent HUL looks for, the company has to pay top dollars as supply is limited and they have to retain them," Aditya Narayan Mishra, chief executive at CEIL HR Services told the ET adding that HUL has the highest number of crorepati employees in India. 
 
"Since they also create strong leadership within their organisation, retaining them becomes crucial," he said. HUL is often referred to as a 'CEO Factory', having contributed over 400 CEOs within the corporate world. 
 
Despite ecommerce edging out FMCG as the hottest career destination for B-school students, HUL still remains the most preferred company overall in the list for the graduating batch of 2015, fourth year in a row and as a dream company across sectors for the sixth year running, as per Nielsen Campus Track Business School 2015 survey. 
 
"At HUL, the ability to identify, hire, groom and retain the best talent has been honed and developed over several decades and remains one of the most important agenda of my leadership team," Sanjiv Mehta, CEO and MD at Hindustan Unilever, had told the financial daily in March this year. Salaries at HUL are partly linked to the company's performance in sales and profitability, say analysts. 
 
During 2014-15, HUL posted 9% sales growth compared to 7% in the overall FMCG growth with 90% of its portfolio gaining market share. Nitin Mathur, consumer goods analyst at Societe Generale, said: "HUL is unarguably the leader when it comes to understanding the Indian consumption patterns, across economic strata. 
 
Any competitor, either incumbents or startups, would like to leverage on this experience by hiring their executives." 
 
ET in May had reported that ecommerce companies could roll out 500 jobs with salaries of more than Rs 1 crore each this year, according to estimates by five search firms, including RGF Executive Search and Longhouse Consulting. 
 
Also offering jobs with one-crore-plus salaries are Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Ola, Uber, Quikr, CommonFloor, Yepme, OLX, Junglee, FashionAndYou, Hungama, BookMyShow, Jabong, Cleartrip and Lenskart.
