He also said it was important that calm and normalcy was restored at the earliest. "Had an extensive review on the situation prevailing in various parts of Delhi. Police and other agencies are working on the ground to ensure peace and normalcy," Modi tweeted. Stressing that peace and harmony are "central to our ethos", Modi said, "I appeal to my sisters and brothers of Delhi to maintain peace and brotherhood at all times."  The board added that it is willing to conduct fresh exams for those who were not able to appear. Class X students were supposed to sit down for a Music exam while Class XII students had Physics exam scheduled on Monday (March 2). Over 50 CBSE students did not turn up at the exam centres on March 2 in violence-hit Delhi

The school said that its students have been allotted CBSE centres that are approximately 16 kilometres away, on the Chandu Nagar-Karawal Nagar road — and it takes at least 40 minutes to reach there. CBSE exams on February 28 and 29 are cancelled amid violence in Delhi

 12:00 PM As protests rage on in Delhi over opposing factions over Citizenship Amendment Act, a high level urgent meeting was convened in the national capital to discuss the events. Union Home Minister Amit Shah met representatives of different political parties including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to appraise them on the status of violence caused by the protests. As many as seven people died in the violence in which also includes a police head constable. The number of injured also rose to 150 as of 12:45 today. The protests which took a new turn late Saturday (Feb 22) in the Maujpur area and raged on as pro and anti CAA clashed with each other. It was reported that some used guns, other pelted stones and some even tried to set a petrol pump on fire. All of North-eastern Delhi remained tense as Section 144 was imposed in the areas of Maujpur, Kardampuri, <keyword id="3354144" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Chand-Bagh">Chand Bagh</keyword> and Dayalpur.areas on Monday. However, the riots and protests went on through Monday night showing little indications of cooling off. On the contrary, the number of deaths, injured and civic complaints to the fire department is swelling by the hour. While there was no violence reported on February 26, normalcy is yet to resume in the affected areas. There have been more deaths. You should give time for the situation to settle down," Justice Rajiv Shakdher said. How will they monitor schools only? What if there is a flash riot somewhere, then the police will be in a dilemma whether to leave school or not," the court stressed. The directions came after a private school, Bhai Parmanand Vidya Mandir, at Surya Niketan in east Delhi said that its students have been allotted CBSE centres that are approximately 16 kilometres away, on the Chandu Nagar-Karawal Nagar road — and it takes at least 40 minutes to reach there. The court then said that the safety if children can not be compromised. Earlier, the board also called off the Class X and Class XII exams that were supposed to take place on February 26. The exam was scheduled across 86 centres in North East Delhi — both government and private schools. Class X students were supposed to sit down for an English exam while Class XII students had a web applications exam. However, the new dates have not been informed yet. Before this, there have been at least three such incidences where the schools were shut in Delhi. The schools remained shut in the North East Delhi for two days as the situation was still tense.
