According to a <keyword id="82130" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="CNN">CNN</keyword> report, several users reported seeing the change on their profiles on Tuesday, with the <keyword id="6384751" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="number">number</keyword> of likes replaced with the phrase "and others". "We've been testing a new experience to hide likes on... posts," a spokesperson for Facebook was quoted by CNN Business. "We unintentionally added more people to the test today, which was a bug -- we're fixing this issue and restoring like counts to those people as soon as possible," it added. Instagram has been running limited tests of that change for years. In 2019, the company said it would start removing the number of likes from a limited number of accounts in Canada. Instagram has not provided a timeline for when it expects the hidden likes to roll out widely. While followers wouldn't be able to see the total number of likes a post received, the owner of the account still could, Instagram said at the time. Users could click to see a full list of the accounts who liked the post, but they wouldn't be able to see a number highlighting how many people liked it, the report said. But we’re here for the latest TWS buds from the brand. I was more interested in reviewing the buds as Nord Buds have been my recommendation to everyone in this price range since last year. So, I was looking forward to seeing what they had on offer this time, especially with the Active Noise Cancellation upgrade. So, will the Nord Buds remain my number one budget TWS recommendation, and are they a worthy upgrade? Find out in my review. Price and availability OnePlus Nord Buds 2 are priced at ₹2999. You can buy the TWS buds from Amazon India and OnePlus’ D2C website. This was a healthy balance between size, portability, and practicality. No wonder, OnePlus has not tinkered a lot with it this time. The case is still portable enough not to eat a lot of space but big enough to store the claimed 30+ hours of battery backup. When I unboxed the buds, I couldn’t make the difference until I held the case. The case is curvier throughout and does not follow a traditionally boxy design. This is neater than what we had last time. Other elements of the case remain intact. We have an upfront LED denoting the battery life and a USB Type-C charging port right next to the pairing button. The variant with me is in the thunder gray color, which is more metallic black. It looks basic, although OnePlus has tried to use an aesthetic texture on the case. Looking like a brush sprinkle; it’s pretty basic and doesn’t stand out. I like the white variant more this time since it has a dual-tone color. I kept the original buds next to Buds 2, and it was cemented. We don't have any design changes here. Yes, the earpiece is now a bit wider since additions have been made for ANC hardware. But that’s where the bucks stop. I don’t have any complaints about it since it retains everything I liked about the original buds. Starting with how easy it is to interact with the buds thanks to the cut-out for gestures we have here. The silver cut-out on the buds is where you can place your finger and command the buds. I will talk about the gestures and performance in the next section. The fit and finish of the buds are satisfactory. Following the stick design, which I prefer over the dots. In my experience, sticks can better maintain balance once you place them in your ears. The buds come with an IP55 water-resistant rating, which I tested at my gym. This time on the tips, the silicone felt better in terms of quality since the buds were not slipping away during my workouts. There is a regular way of powering up the buds and looking them up in your Bluetooth menu. Once identified, the buds are ready to rock in a single tap. This is a 3-step process. Then there is another way if you are a OnePlus user. Opening up the lids gives a pop-up on your device, which you can simply tap on, and you are set. However, this is a bit wobbly, especially once you have paired the buds with another device. I experienced it when I tried to pair the buds with the Nord CE 3 Lite after I had already paired them with my iPhone 12. After trying several times, I went into the Bluetooth menu and paired them up. Another annoying factor in this process is how the buds don’t have voice prompts denoting the connection status. When we hear a voice speaking - pairing or paired, all we get are sounds, which tend to be confusing. I hope OnePlus does something about this in the next iteration. Once connected, the buds maintain solid connectivity thanks to Bluetooth 5.3. This, of course, is the latest iteration of Bluetooth technology, enhancing the product's longevity. Fortunately, you have both individual bud pairing and multi-device pairing on the buds, which is a convenient add-on. Gestures <div type="image" title="Hey Melody app allows a number of customisation options." msid="99242905" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Hey Melody app allows a number of customisation options.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> As I mentioned in the design section, reaching out to the buds to interact with them is convenient. So I won’t focus on that aspect here. Let me straight up get to the responsiveness and gestures on offer. Like last time, a single tap plays or pauses your media, and the double tap is used to answer phone calls. At the same time, a triple tap will switch forward or backward in your playlist or wake the voice assistant. These gestures are working perfectly fine, and the buds rarely miss out. This was when I had wet hands, too, so that’s good news. Then there are some additional gestures this time like a long press on the right bud to active ANC. On doing so, the buds chime into your ears, denoting the activation. So far, the buds have been responsive. OnePlus has also made the buds compatible with the hey melody app. Using this, you can customize the gestures on the buds. This is very finicky and needs to be worked on, considering it needs to be supported on iPhone.On Android, it took a single attempt, and we were set. Hey, Melody app elevates the performance of the buds prominently, which I talk about in the performance section. Like last time, OnePlus has not provided gestures for volume controls here. The Nord Buds 2 have the perfect placement for gesture hardware to pull this off. I hope they take this recommendation seriously. Audio performance On paper, the buds feature the same 12.4mm drivers we had last time, but OnePlus has added ANC this time. This is combined with the options for equalizer settings and presets for audio outputs. I have talked about each preset in detail below. I want to start with my favorite - Bass. This is preset, which rattled me. I love hip-hop and pop music, and my latest muse is Madonna. Yes, I was late to join the party, but that’s not the point. Playing 4 minutes, the duet with Justin Timberlake, I played the music with the Bass preset. The performance was top-notch. Of Course, the bass is channeled and isn’t a surround sound experience. Yet, given the price of the buds, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Bold The preset is featured on the app, and I am unsure if I agree with the name. The music output here is best suited for audio-video content. I like watching shows, especially the ones that support Dolby Atmos. I feel the better-suited name for this could have been movies. Balanced Perhaps a preset that doesn’t require many changes on a user's end. I found this to be perfect, especially with ANC turned on. The audio output is perfectly in sync with the ambient noise being canceled. You can enjoy the details in the music, although the bass is mild. Serenade Serenade lowers the volume output substantially, and I found it most useful for listening to podcasts. Considering the bass wave is fairly low on this music, it is not a strong content format for this one.You can also make custom presets if you wish to. I liked to stick to the ones provided. Now talking about the ANC performance here, the buds have outperformed my expectations. My device is the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/tech/news/lg-tone-free-fp9-tws-buds-review-underrated-tws-with-a-lot-of-potential/articleshow/93804655.cms">LG ToneFree</a>. A device that has the best ANC on offer when it comes to the TWS form factor. Of course, ToneFree buds are ten times the price of Nord Buds 2, but I have a point of reference to judge. The ANC on Nord Buds 2 doesn’t create a vacuum in your ears as almost all buds do. And yet the microphones successfully cancel out 80% of the noise around, especially in a pre-existing room. For example, I am writing this review sitting in a closed room with my ceiling fan turned on. The only sound besides that is the keys I am pressing on the laptop. I can’t hear the fan, and even in close proximity, I can’t hear the keys clicking. But when I step out, the ANC takes a hit, where the noise is reduced to 60% success. Sitting in my office on an open floor, I couldn’t avoid the ambient sound then. In both situations, you can’t hear people talking to you directly. That is only possible with transparency mode. So, I suggest using that in a public setting and not using ANC if you walk outdoors. It’s a matter of safety. Calling This is where the Nord Buds 2 are solid. I have taken all my phone calls in the last 2 days with the Nord Buds 2, with zero lags. This, however, goes down if I talk on applications like Google meets, where you might have a latency issue. Battery OnePlus claims the buds offer 36 hours of battery life in the case with ANC off, where the buds have a backup of 7 hours.With ANC turned on, the battery backup reduces to 25 hours on the case and 5 hours on the buds. The real-time number sits somewhere in the middle. I can’t decipher battery life individually for buds and the case. But, I will share my observations based on the battery backup delivered by the entire package. With ANC turned on, I got a backup of upto 25 hours, while the battery life increased to 27 hours with ANC turned off. Given the real-time difference is just 2 hours, I would suggest keeping the ANC turned on. One thing observed was how the individual battery life of the buds would differ by 10% on average. As visible on the Hello Melody app, the right bud generally was 10% lower on battery when compared to the left bud. This is a bug to my knowledge, since the buds generally ran out of battery almost simultaneously. Verdict OnePlus Nord Buds 2 has cemented itself again for providing value at an aggressive price point. Keeping the boring design aside, the audio performance is top-notch combined with the ANC. If you are looking for a pair of budget TWS Buds and want precise noise cancellation, then you should pay attention here. Till now, 1,56,20,749 doses of corona vaccine have been administered in the country since the mass inoculation drive began on January 16. India records 14,989 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours

Mumbai is divided into 12 police zones and the city police are authorised to collect a fine of ₹200 from people not wearing masks, as mandated under COVID-19 norms. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the <keyword id="122279" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Metropolis">metropolis</keyword>, Singh hasasked the city police force totake strict action against those not wearing masks in public places, the official said. Out of these people, 25,947 were arrested and later released on bail, he said. Since April 18 last year, 10,490 people were penalised for not wearing masks in public places, he added. The budget has estimated revenue receipts of ₹1,67,969 crore, with a revenue expenditure of ₹1,66,760 crore for the year 2021-22. The finance minister estimated capital receipts at ₹50,751 crore and capital expenditure including loans and advances at ₹56,571 crore. Under the budget provisions, the finance minister allocated Rs 7,232 crore for the Agriculture and farmers welfare <keyword id="6360339" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="department">department</keyword>, ₹5,494 crore for Water Resources, ₹32,719 crore for the <keyword id="63592" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Education-department">Education department</keyword> and ₹11,323 crore for the health department. The <keyword id="51011" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="state-government">state government</keyword> will be introducing a new scheme to provide pre-primary education under the New Education Policy 2020. Also, ₹3,974 crore has been allocated for Water Supply and ₹4,353 crore to the Social Justice and Empowerment department, where the government has raised the subsidy given under the 'kunvarbai mameru scheme' from ₹10,000 to ₹12,000. The state government has allocated ₹13,493 crore, the maximum allocation, to the <keyword id="170906" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="urban-development-department">Urban Development Department</keyword>, ₹13,034 crore to the Energy and Petrochemical department, ₹11,185 crore has been allocated to the Roads and Buildings department, ₹6,599 crore to the Industries and Mining department, ₹2,656 crores for the Tribal development department, ₹8,796 crore for the Panchayats and Rural Development Department, ₹1,502 crore to the Labour and Employment department. <keyword id="10387" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Microsoft">Microsoft</keyword> has warned its <keyword id="6359672" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Customers">customers</keyword> against a new sophisticated nation-state cyber attack that has its origin in China and is primarily targeting on-premises '<keyword id="2634944" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Exchange-Server">Exchange Server</keyword>' software of the tech giant. Called "Hafnium," it operates from China and is attacking infectious disease researchers, law firms, higher education institutions, defence contractors, policy think tanks and NGOs in the US for the purpose of exfiltrating information. "While Hafnium is based in China, it conducts its operations primarily from leased <keyword id="10859882" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="virtual-private-servers">virtual private servers</keyword> (VPS) in the US," said Tom Burt, Corporate Vice President, Customer Security and Trust at Microsoft. The Microsoft Threat Intelligence Center (MSTIC) found that "Hafnium" would first gain <keyword id="60938" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Access">access</keyword> to an Exchange Server either with stolen passwords or by using the previously undiscovered vulnerabilities to disguise itself as someone who should have access. "Second, it would create what's called a web shell to control the compromised server remotely. Third, it would use that remote access -- run from the US-based private servers -- to steal data from an organisation's network," Burt said in a statement late on Tuesday. The company has released security updates to protect customers running Exchange Server, and encourages all Exchange Server customers to apply these updates immediately. "Exchange Server is primarily used by business customers, and we have no evidence that Hafnium's activities targeted individual consumers or that these exploits impact other Microsoft products," Burt informed. This is the eighth time in the past 12 months that Microsoft has publicly disclosed nation-state groups targeting institutions critical to civil society. "Other activity we disclosed has targeted healthcare organisations fighting Covid-19, political campaigns and others involved in the 2020 elections, and high-profile attendees of major policymaking conferences," Burt said. In January, Microsoft admitted that alleged Russian hackers behind the massive <keyword id="609247" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="SolarWinds">SolarWinds</keyword> attack that affected several top-notch enterprises and government agencies, attempted activities beyond just the presence of malicious SolarWinds code in its environment. Microsoft discovered that its systems were infiltrated "beyond just the presence of malicious SolarWinds code." According to Burt, the new China-based exploits are "in no way connected to the separate SolarWinds-related attacks". "We continue to see no evidence that the actor behind SolarWinds discovered or exploited any vulnerability in Microsoft products and services," he mentioned. Nine federal agencies and about 100 private sector companies were compromised as a result of the SolarWinds hack, the <keyword id="6356037" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="white-house">White House</keyword> had said. Around 502 <keyword id="6374174" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="sugar-mills">sugar mills</keyword> of the country together produced 233.77 <keyword id="9324380" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="lakh-tonnes">lakh tonnes</keyword> of <keyword id="31653" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="sugar">sugar</keyword> in the early five months of the current sugar season 2020-21 as compared to 194.82 lakh tonnes produced by 453 mills last season till February 29, 2020, the Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA) said on Wednesday. Sugar production in the ongoing season 2020-21 (October-September) has increased by 38.95 lakh tonnes or 19.99 per cent from <keyword id="1799114" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="last-year">last year</keyword>. The largest quantity of sugar has been produced in <keyword id="13126" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Maharashtra">Maharashtra</keyword> so far in the ongoing season as sugar production in the state has surged over 67 per cent as compared to last year. Sugar mills of Maharashtra produced 84.85 lakh tonnes of the sweetener till February 28 this year, compared with 50.70 lakh tonnes produced last year same period. Out of 188 sugar mills operated in the state in the current season, 12 sugar mills have ended their crushing due to non-availability of cane in their area, most of them in Solapur region while 25 sugar mills had ended their operations. As on February 28 2021, 176 sugar mills were crushing as against 120 sugar mills last year on February 29, 2020 in Maharashtra. In Uttar Pradesh, 109 sugar mills are in operation currently, while 11 mills have stopped their crushing operations, most of them in Eastern Uttar Pradesh region. These mills in the state have produced 74.20 lakh tones of sugar till February 28, 2021, compared with 76.86 lakh tonnes produced by 119 mills as on February 29, 2020. In case of Karnataka, till February 28, 2021, 66 sugar mills operated in the current season and have produced 40.53 lakh tones, as compared to 32.60 lakh tones produced by 63 sugar mills which operated last year, till February 29, 2020. During the current season, out of 66 mills which operated, 52 mills have already ended their crushing. Last year in the same period, out of 63 sugar mills which operated, 34 sugar mills had ended their crushing operations by Feb 29, 2020. Gujarat has produced 7.49 lakh tones of sugar till February 28, 2021. Out of 15 sugar mills operated this year, one sugar mill has ended its operation. Last year, similar number of sugar mills were in operation and they had produced 6.83 lakh tonnes of sugar till February 29, 2020. In case of <keyword id="20154" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="tamil-nadu">Tamil Nadu</keyword>, 26 sugar mills commenced their crushing operations so far for 2020-21 SS and have produced 3.16 lakh tonnes of sugar, as compared to 3.37 lakh tonnes produced by 21 sugar mills in 2019-20. The remaining states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Uttarakhand, <keyword id="6354953" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="punjab">Punjab</keyword>, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Odisha have collectively produced 23.54 lakh tonnes of sugar till February 28, 2021. During 2020-21, from 1st October 2020 to 28th February 2021, 502 sugar mills had started operations (as against 453 sugar mills which had operated last year till 29th February, 2020). Also, 98 sugar mills across the country have ended their operations by 28th February 2021. Last year, 70 sugar mills had closed their crushing operations as on 29th February, 2020, said ISMA. As consumer sentiment runs high amid growing chorus for boycotting Chinese goods in the country, the fluid market situation offers new opportunities for various smartphone makers, especially the non-Chinese ones like Samsung, Apple, Nokia, Asus and others, to realign their strategies and regain the lost market share in the face of fierce Chinese competition. The challenge here would be not to look "opportunistic" and leverage the current explosive situation on just riding on the anti-Chinese sentiment but to offer real challenges in the form of top-end devices with solid internals at affordable price points, feel industry experts. "The current market conditions in India are fluid and open up new opportunities for smartphone original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to focus and leverage," Prabhu Ram, Head-Industry Intelligence Group, CyberMedia Research (CMR), told IANS. In the first quarter (January-March) this year, Samsung's shipments were driven by its upgraded A and M series (A51, A20s, A30s, and M30s). According to Counterpoint Research, Samsung managed to hold third position in Q1 2020 due to launches across several price tiers, especially in the affordable premium segment (S10 Lite, Note 10 Lite). The South Korean smartphone maker last week announced a ₹4,000 price drop on its popular Galaxy Note10 Lite smartphone that will now cost ₹37,999 (6GB variant). Earlier this month, Samsung launched two new smartphones, Galaxy M11 and Galaxy M01, with powerful batteries under ₹15,000 in India. The Galaxy M11 comes in two variants. The 3GB+32GB will be priced at ₹10,999 while the higher 4GB+64GB variant will be available for ₹12,999. Samsung has also launched an affordable Galaxy A21s smartphone with quad-camera system and 5,000mAh battery at a starting price of ₹16,499. On the other hand, Apple grew a strong 78% year-on-year driven by strong shipments of iPhone 11 and multiple discounts on platforms like Flipkart and Amazon in Q1, according to Counterpoint. Apple has also brought its cheapest yet powerful new iPhone SE that costs ₹38,900 (64GB) in India with a special offer from HDFC Bank. The new iPhone SE is powered by the Apple-designed A13 Bionic, the fastest chip in a smartphone and features the best single-camera system ever in an iPhone. According to Tarun Pathak, Associate Director, Counterpoint Research, consumer sentiments are running high and a section of users will look for alternatives, benefitting global and Indian brands. "However, we do not think non-Chinese brands will run aggressive campaigns based on the situation as it might look like being opportunistic," Pathak told IANS. It may actually let brands of Chinese origin try to run aggressive campaigns on their presence and scale. "Some of these Chinese brands have been active in scaling up local value addition, creating jobs and investing in research and development," Pathak noted. On Saturday, market leader Xiaomi said that it is "more Indian" than any other smartphone brand. The company's India head Manu Kumar Jain said that the company's mobile phone R&amp;D centre and product team is in India, it employs 50,000 people in the country, the entire leadership team is Indian and that the company pays its taxes in India. Earlier, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth who is also very active on social media said that Realme is an Indian startup. In his latest episode of 'Ask Madhav' series on YouTube, Sheth said: "I can proudly say Realme is an Indian startup, which is now a global MNC (multinational corporation)".

The list of victims is long: Nokia's Symbian; RIM's BlackBerry OS; HP's WebOS, even Microsoft's various Windows phone operating systems are almost entirely gone now, like tears in rain. With Apple's lock-up on smartphones all but assured, these competitors have all been forced to look elsewhere to come up with ways to chip away at the iPhone's fortified position. <h2>The peanut gallery</h2>Facebook, for instance, is placing its bets on virtual reality, augmented reality, and chatbots. Virtual reality headsets are a niche now, but they could become the next big hardware platform - a platform it would own. Similarly, chatbots give a way for Facebook to offer premium services to its users, without paying the App Store cut. Amazon has its Echo line of smart speakers, which use the Alexa virtual agent to accomplish simple tasks with only your voice. The newest Echo Show, too, adds a screen. Even the much-maligned Google Glass headset is now reported to be in preparation for a comeback.<h2>Apple's move</h2>Apple is coming into this at a distinct disadvantage. So much of the company's fortunes are tied up in the iPhone that it can't just up and move to whatever the next big thing turns out to be.With no real smartphone play to speak of, Microsoft, Facebook, and Amazon aren't handcuffed by the legacy of a smartphone business. That gives them the freedom to move forward without worrying about hurting a cash cow. Google too has more freedom, since its real revenue is tied to search advertising, not the Android smartphone software it gives away for free. So Apple has to be really careful about every step it takes away from the iPhone. Over the years, it's made small but important moves to create the next big thing, starting in 2011 with the Siri virtual assistant. This turned out to be prescient - while Amazon's Alexa gets a lot of credit for kickstarting interest in voice assistants, Siri is still the most widely used.YouTube/MicrosoftHoloLens being used for anatomy class at Case Western UniversityWe're already starting to see more forward-looking competitive hedges come into play. Apple's Airpods wireless earbuds and the HomePod smart speaker are <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/apple-w1-bluetooth-chip-2017-1">both designed to bring Siri closer into your life</a>, and thus, keep Alexa and systems like it out. That's just a short-term play. A longer term gambit for Apple is <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/apple-ar-kit-asks-developers-to-come-up-with-reasons-for-ar-2017-6">ARkit</a>, a way for developers to build augmented reality into their own apps using the iPhone camera. If and when Apple releases smart glasses of its own, it means there will be a whole selection of ARkit-powered apps to go with them, too. It's a way to bridge the dominance of the iPhone today with the hypothetical future dominance of Apple goggles tomorrow. <h2>The risk</h2>This, right now, in 2017, is a precipice point. The bets these companies are making or not making today are going to shape the technology market for the next, next decade. All these various technologies, from artificial intelligence, to chatbots, to augmented and virtual reality, are real and imminent. So I don't envy Apple's position. Move too slowly, and there are no shortage of rivals waiting in the wings to fill the gap and claim the crown for the next major market shift. Move too quickly, though, and Apple sacrifices its famous willingness to build stuff that just works. The only thing that's clear from here is that the days are numbered for the iPhone as we know it.
